Sakura had always seen Sasuke through rose-colored glasses. Her optimism, her hope, and her love used to constantly cloud her vision.

She had been blind to his suffering, blind to his malice, blind to his disloyalty, and blind to his hate. Some how the rose tint to her vision blocked her perception of the truth.

The rose only revealed the good in Sasuke; the times he sacrificed his safety for theirs, his strength, his intelligence. Those glasses reflected dreams of a future filled with joy, Sasuke and Sakura together, side by side.

Rose-colored glasses constantly clouded Sakura's vision until Sasuke shattered them beyond repair. In betraying Konoha, betraying her, he destroyed her hopeful dreams.

Then Sakura's vision was clouded by tears. Focusing totally on her broken heart caused her to neglect and use her most loyal friend and teammate. When she saw the damage that had been dealt to Naruto, she dried her tears, and saw clearly for the first time.

Now, with clear vision Sakura stares determinedly into her future. She's grown so much, come so far, but the question remains; does she prefer life with clear, untainted sight...or would she rather return to wearing a pair of rose-colored glasses?
