"Alicia and Kevin Granger were found choked with belts at their home," JJ told the team. Aaron Hotchner, or Hotch to his team, sat there with his trademark straight face. He rarely ever smiled and when he did it was a miracle. Next to him sat Dr. Spencer Reid – the youngest member of the team also happened to be a genius. Emily Prentiss looked on with disgust… if there was ever one thing she regretted about taking the job with the BAU, it was the fact that she was exposed to the constant realization at how brutal some humans could be. Derek Morgan looked almost as serious as Hotch, and he was thinking about how someone could do this to another person. David Rossi, however, saw recognition.

"Did they have a kid?" he asked. JJ nodded.

"Yes, a seven year old called Lois – she was put in a closet." Rossi nodded. Maybe now was the time to call in a favor.

"Is it me, or is this a whole lot similar to those killings in New York a few years back?" Morgan asked. "I mean, the parents are strangled with belts and their kids are shoved in closets, and I don't think they ever caught the guy who did it."

"I know one person who might know the answer to that," Rossi answered. "I may have to make a phone call before we get there."

A few hours later, Rossi was waiting at the airport with Reid. Hopefully he'd be here soon.

A red-headed man emerged, wearing sunglasses and a suit. His badge flashed in the sun as he walked over to Rossi, who smiled and took his hand.

"Dave, it's nice to see you again!" he yelled over the sound of the airplane.

"Horatio Caine, it's been a long time!" Rossi yelled in reply. "Now we're gonna need your expertise on this one!"
