Chapter Two: The Keepsake

On Robin and Amir's journey to discovering the identity of 'Loxley', quite suddenly, a small, yet springy branch got caught on the fine golden chain Robin wore around his neck. Robin carefully untangled the chain from the branch, and unhooked the clasp, before slipping it back around his neck and reclasping it.

Amir noticed it for the first time and asked, "What is that?"

Robin held the miniscule gold coin attached to the chain around his neck.

"I don't really know," he answered, "I've had it since before I lost my memory. I wonder what it means."

He gently stroked the smooth surface with a forefinger.

There was a smiling young woman. She placed the chain around his neck.

"As long as we are both carrying this; we will always be together," she said, holding an identical chain and coin.

"It was a gift from a lady. She was very beautiful. She placed it around my neck and said that as long as we're both in possession of one of these, that we'll always be together," said Robin, slowly.

He tucked the chain back under his tunic.

"I only wish I knew who she was and where she is. She might be able to help figure out who I am," mused Robin.
