Let's start from the beginning, and I mean the very beginning. Humphrey was born on the eighteenth of March 2001, making him 22 in the time set in this story. He was born into a lovely family of 3, Humphrey's parents, Donna and Alan, and Humphrey's twin sister, Charlotte.
They weren't the richest family, but they still managed to scrape by. Alan worked at the local A&E as an assistant manager at the local grocery store, and Donna worked in Horticulture. Neither were the best money on the planet, but they still made a living off of it.
Advance a few years and Humphrey and Charlotte start attending the local Elementary School. Charlotte excelled in most of her classes and was always one of the top students in her class and got selected for many school events. Humphrey on the other hand, was more in the middle towards the below average. He wasn't the smartest one out there, but he still passed about 85% of his tests. He wasn't an amazing student, but he always tried and loved a challenge. Although there were two classes he excelled in. Physical Education, and Music. Music was his favourite subject and was impeccable at the piano by the time he was 11.
Charlotte wasn't the most social person out there, but she still had friends. She was more focussed on her education over her social life. Humphrey was very social to start with, but not many people actually wanted to be friends with him. He stuck with the same three friends up until high school, Salty, Shakey, and Mooch. Well, those were there nicknames. Everyone referred to them as that. Humphrey preferred to stick with just his name because he couldn't think of any that were good, let alone appropriate…
Humphrey was a very energetic kid. He was always full of energy and could never stop jumping all over the place. Oh, and he climbed a lot of trees. His parents even considered taking him to a doctor because he was all over the place and they thought he was completely nuts.
Humphrey was also friends with a girl called Kate. She was in the same class as him and there was just something about that made Humphrey a bit… excited… He was lucky she didn't see it. She didn't notice until the last year of middle school. Oh, that was a funny, yet so embarrassing experience for Humphrey. Kate was an amazing girl. Always top of the class in everything and was the friendliest person you could ever meet. Extremely well mannered and would laugh about just about anything even remotely funny. She had many aspirations like any child at her age, but her biggest one, was to be with Humphrey. She loved Humphrey and Humphrey loved her, but they just couldn't bring up the courage to actually ask. Neither did until high school rolled around. Now that we've pasted Elementary school, I'm going to start going to a bit more detail than that.
A/N: This is just a short one to get out before I really start getting into more detail. This is basically just getting started. Anyway, have a good day everyone!
