5 Years Later...

Ruby and Yang's Mic Crackled To Life, Blakes more mature voice coming through.

"Guys? I'm heading out on a rescue mission, think you can swing by to help any survivors? We've got a report of 22 survivors, I don't know their condition. Are you still there?"

She asked to the recipient on the other channel.

A Distressed Male Voice Came Through,

"Yeah... I don't know how long we have though, these people won't caLM DOWN, AND IF THEY DONT, WE ARE GONNA BE FLOODED WITH GRIMM! DO ALL OF YOU WANT TO FUCKING DIE?!"

Yang began to prepare her weapons, loading them quickly before responding to her "Of course Blake, we'll be there as quickly as we can, and see if you can calm them down, the Grimm will be all over them if they don't. Come on Rubes we have to go." Yang said as she pulled on her boots, already going out a Bullhead to rush to Blake's location.

"Will do... I'll see you guys out there."

She switched back to the other channel, about 5 Minuets our from the crash.

"Hello?"

"Yeah I'm sti- CALM IT!"

There was noises in the background, sounds of weapons and yelling...

"Hang on..."

"No! Do not step away from the Radio, you hear me?"

No response came through, the Radioman wasn't responding.

Meanwhile Ruby and Yang were on an airship, Yang was bouncing her leg as she tried to tell herself everything would be fine. Blake was an expert, she could hold her own easily...right? "Ruby, she's going to be fine until we get there, right? Right?"

Blake arrived at the crash, the radio had went silent a few minutes ago, so she had her weapon drawn. Their were flames everywhere, and she slowly made her way into the hull, where the Radioman had said they were set up.

Yang's anxiety grown, as she started to worry more and more about Blake, she hadn't said anything in a while, no updates, nothing, she just listened to the radio and prayed everything would be ok. "Hey Ruby, after Blake comes back how about we all go watch that movie she's been talking about?"

Rubys face lit up, smiling at her sister, and the thought of it.

"Yeah! If Weiss isn't busy we can get her to go too"

Blake used a flashlight to look around, Cargo was unstrapped, and small splotched Of Blood littered the floor...

"Hello? If anyone's here, make yourself known, we Came to get you out of here, and more help is on the way!"

Yang smiled as she gently ruffled Ruby's hair. "I'll drag her if I have to, we're a team after all, once we get there and help clean up we'll be ready to go, well maybe after we clean up ourselves too, hell Blake will probably be done by the time we get there."

"Hey? When will you guys get here?"

Blake pinged the comms, inspecting scratches on the flooring and wall, immediately putting her on edge.

Yang picked up her own and responded after asking the pilot. "We'll be there in about half an hour, we shouldn't be much longer than that, is everything ok Blake?"

"I don't know... the crew stopped responding a few minutes ago, and I'm finding no trace of them. There's dried blood on the ground, so it was most likely when they took shelter down here. But... there's claw marks everywhere"

"How big are the claw marks? Maybe it's just a really small Grimm, it could've just been a small pack that they couldn't defend against right? They probably got away safely and just scraped their legs or something..." Yang's voice trailed off as she began to come to terms with the fact that nothing...nothing was going to go in their favor tonight.

"Maybe, you said how many min-"

Rustling was heard through the luggage, Blake turning and aiming her gun at where the sound came from. Nothing.

Yang clenched her prosthetic hand as she swallowed. "Half an hour...what's going on? Is there anything there?"

"I heard something... but I can't see it"

More rustling, like something was running around her, she just barely missing each time, catching a glimpse of a tail or paw every now and then.

"Maybe it's just a small beowolf or something, like the one Sun found on his mission last week, remember that?" As Yang spoke she began to drum her fingers, trying to block the horrifying ideas that kept popping into her head. Things like Blake being swarmed, or just flat out killed before she even knew it.

"W-hat did he-e name it again? B-Beo?"

Her breathing picked up, feeling claustrophobic, trying to think of something else, she was scared

"Yeah, he was a lil' ol thing too, I think they tried to tame him at one point, apparently Velv loved him to bits too," Yang tried to make herself smile, she kept the conversation going for Blake's sake, hoping to calm her nerves at least a little.

Blake started shaking, stopping her walk further in, wanting to turn around and run.

"S-Shoul-d I just go? I don't want to go any further Yang... I ca-nt do this on my own, can I wait until you guys get here?"

"Of course! Just wait somewhere safe until we get there and we'll figure this out together. Just find somewhere safe and I promise we'll be there as soon as we can! I've got your back as long as you've got mine, right?"

"Than-k You, I'll be ou-ts-ide"

Blake started trying to backtrack, but she just kept getting lost in the ship, not knowing which way she came from.

"Don't mention it Blake, we're a team after all." Yang began to pace around the airship, asking the pilot every so often how much longer would the ride there last. After a while she looked at Ruby. "She's going to be ok, isn't she Ruby?"

Before Ruby could answer, the radio Came to life once again, a panicking And heavily breathing Blake on the other end.

"I can't find a way out! Help me... please"

It sounded like she was crying, her emotions running up, notifying the Grimm near her, not like they weren't already stalking their prey.

"Blake calm down! Just breathe for a minute and find somewhere hidden, like a room, closet, anything. Try thinking about something to take your mind off of it. Remember our first date back sophomore year? When I got that huge brain freeze after chugging the milkshake? You were laughing for hours after that, remember?" Yang kept going on for a bit, trying her absolute best to keep Blake from bringing the Grimm to her.

"Yang... please... where are you?"

All she could see were rows of luggage, no rooms or anything, and endless catacomb

Blake was crying, falling to her knees and curling up, wanting to shrink down into nothing, she needed Yang's Love more than air right now, she couldn't move...

"We're almost there! Just a bit longer Blake, you can do this! Just a bit longer and I'll tear my way to you, I promise!" Yang walked over to Ruby and put a hand on her shoulder, "Once we're down there, I'm going to break through every wall to get to her, I want you to watch my back and sides, I know you're the leader but I know you understand, right?"

Ruby nodded quickly, scared about what she was hearing on the comms,

Grimm started to emerge, all circling around Blake, curled up on the floor in a ball, cry-laughing just like Rubys Cry, but drawing out the last cry, holding it for a period of time.

"Blake! Blake what's going on? I hear growling? Is everything ok? What's happening?" Yang tried to take a deep breath before she began to wail into her sister's shoulder, she knew they were still minutes away but she couldn't do anything, nothing at all...

"Im Fine... I'm Fine..."

Everything was quiet, all the noise stopped, the only sound was Blakes breathing, and her teeth clattering.

"Blake tell me what's going on, please! Please don't go...don't leave us...don't leave me..." At this point Yang was clinging to Ruby as she cried like the day Raven left her.

Blakes breathing slowed, the comms were dead silent for a few seconds, before Blakes Screams, tears, gnarls, slashes sounded. There was the wet sound of blood as Blake screamed, her yells and cries echoed as she was stabbed and torn apart again and again, begging for Yang, gunshots as she tried to kill the ones on top of her.

Yang squeezed Ruby as she began to wail loudly, almost screaming as if she were being stabbed herself, she cried out for Blake, once they finally touched down Yang rushed to her location and annihilated every grimm in her path, her semblance kicked into high gear, every one dying after the span of a few minutes, once the massacre was over she rushed to Blake's side, holding onto whatever parts of her were still recognizable. "Blake! Say something anything! Please...!"

She was gone, Yang was holding her head and half of her torso, her eyes wide and mouth open, her black hair ripped up, and her bow stained with blood, but otherwise somehow in perfect condition...

Yang carefully took off her bow as she held her corpse close to her, crying her eyes out, she cursed the brothers for letting such a tragedy take place to someone so young, she screamed her lover's name as she looked at her lifeless eyes, she knew it wouldn't do anything but she hoped somehow it would bring her back...just maybe...

Ruby dropped her scythe, falling to her knees at the sight, not knowing what to do.

Yang started petting Blakes ears, it was one of the few things that made Blake feel comfortable, if she was still in there (No Way In Hell She Was) she could help.

Yang began to scratch behind Blake's ears, she knew it always made her purr the instant she did it...but when no sound came out, it was like she finally realized what happened. "Ru-Ruby...she's not really g-gone right? She can't be...she's... she's..."

Ruby was staring at the ground, or more specifically a pool of blood, her reflection looking back at her, wide eyed.

Yang looked Ruby in the eyes, her own were bloodshot from the tears that were getting ready to fall. "She...she's gone Ruby...oh god she's really gone..."

"Blake?!"

Ruby tried crawling to her, dragging herself through the blood...

Yang fell to the ground as she cried, she held Blake's bow close to her heart as she watched her poor...broken sister cling onto their partner's lifeless body. Yang looked up, and screamed into the night sky...
