"What the hell did you just do to Mr. Russo? I can get fired for this! What is wrong with you?" snapped my father squeezing my arm. "I saved my mom from a psycho, and yeah maybe I'm not the innocent little brat you think I am," I said yanking my arm from his grip. "I can take care of my self, whether you like it or not!" I started ranting.
"Fine! You are banished from our household!" He yelled angrily. First thing that ran through my mind: banished? Seriously? But honestly, it hurt, my own dad was disowning me.
I held back a sigh, "Fine," I said keeping up my angry portrayal. "Excuse me for interrupting but my name is Eraldo Coil and I would like to hire Miss Bianca as my bodyguard," said creepy stalker guy.
My disowning father seemed angrier and angrier as "Eraldo Coil" spoke, "No way I'm letting my daughter be hired by you," he snarled. "Yes, I accept," I said just to make a vein pop in my father's forehead.
"Bye dad,"
Those would be the last words I'll ever say to my father.
"I'm surprised you actually accepted," said "Eraldo Coil" after we left the "party". "You and me both." I sighed. "By the way, your name isn't Eraldo Coil is it?" I asked.
"No it isn't, but I don't trust you just yet. After all, you disabled my eating arm," he said, his right arm still wiggly. "Yeah, that won't go away for another fifteen minutes, more or less." I said straining myself not to laugh.
"Hmph, I have no idea how this is humorous in anyway." he said. "The 'eating arm' thing is what's funny," I said laughing now. "Mr. Coil, your car is ready," said an older voice. "Watari this is my new body guard, Bianca this is Watari my handler," said Eraldo. "Pleasure to meet you," I said, "Pleasure's mine," said Watari.
"Now for your interview," said Eraldo after we got in was I assumed was a limousine due to the roominess. "I thought I already got the job!" I said surprised. "You did, I just want to know who you are," he said, sounding like his mouth was full.
"Where are you from?" he asked. "Born in Dublin, Ireland but raised in Westchester, England." I replied, wondering if I should tell the whole truth on these answers. "Okay, special abilities?" he asked, "I can fight very well, I can bake-" "What can you bake?" he asked excitedly. "Um, cake, cookies the usual, ya know? Um, my mom taught me some other recipes, don't really know what it is though," I said kinda nervous.
"Excellent, what languages do you know?" he asked. "English, German, French and Japanese," I said still kinda confused about his interest in baked goods. "Really? Why Japanese?" he asked. "So I can understand anime without subtitles," I said honestly. "Oh yeah, I forgot you were blind. Yes that would be useful," he said.
"Since my true identity must be a secret, you must change your name too," he added. "I'll name you... Layne!" I frowned. "Layne? Seriously? Okay whatever,"
"We're at the airport sir," said Watari. "Whoa, whoa I never agreed to any airport," I jumped. "We'll be in Japan for the next few months. I've decided to take on the Kira case." said Eraldo. "Dude I just met you, second, I hate airplanes, can't I ride in a boat or something?" I asked frantically. "That's highly illogical, I'd be done with the case by then," he said, "ICPO will have a meeting in the week or so about these heart attacks started getting serious."
I was scared. Sure, lots of people dislike airplanes. But I'm completely blind on airplanes! (You know what I mean.) I was having a mini panic attack. "Relax Layne, and by the way, call me Ryuzaki from here on out, unless I tell you to."
What did I get myself into?
