A/N: So here we are. Time for Jordan's trial. My original plan was to drag it out, but ehh I couldn't bring myself to do it.
Juice looked in the mirror, the dark circles under his eyes prominent. He was in no way ready for this. The guys had tried to talk him out of going to the trial, but he couldn't bring himself to miss it. he suddenly felt like he was going to be sick and say down on the side of the bathtub, his head in his hands. She confessed, there's no way for her to out of it now. He thought to himself as he slowly shook his head. His head was pounding and his stomach was doing flip flops, reminding him of his alcohol binge the night before.
He groaned and climbed to his feet when he heard a knock on the door. He shuffled down the hallway and pulled open the door. Chibs was standing there, giving him a concerned look. "You look like shite, Juicy Boy." He told the sick looking Puerto Rican, who rolled his eyes and grabbed his cut off the hook next to the door. He picked his keys up off the table and shooed Chibs out the door, closing it firmly behind them and locking it.
"I still don't think this is a good idea, Juice." Jax said when Juice climbed on his bike. Juice shot him a look before he put on his glasses.
"I don't care." He said firmly and kicked the bike into gear. Jax sighed and followed him down the street.
"Taylor." Her new guard called. She looked up, her eyes cold and distant. She glanced at the clock on the wall and sighed, standing up. Her guard unlocked the door and put a pair of handcuffs on her wrists. She flinched as he tightened them, then followed the gray haired guard, her head down.
Jordan looked up when again when she walked through the door to the courtroom, her eyes instantly flashing fire when they landed on Jax, Chibs and Juice. She clenched her teeth. She had specifically told them not to come and they did anyway. She watched as Juice gave her a small, forced smile. She could tell even at the distance she was from him that he had a rough night the night before.
Once she was seated, the judge read her charges. "Jordan Taylor, you're being charged with murder in the first degree of Matthew Zink. How do you plead?" There was a collective intake of breath around the courtroom as they waited. Jordan looked up at the judge and blew air between her lips.
"Guilty." She said firmly.
"Zink? Why does that name sound familiar?" Jax whispered to a very pale Juice. Juice swallowed the lump that had formed in his throat, not taking his eyes off Jordan.
"That's because it's her ex. But why didn't she tell us that he was in town?" Juice asked. Jax's eyebrows raised in recognition, his eyes filled with thought.
"Unless she didn't know he was in town." Jax said slowly. Juice looked at him thoughtfully. He nodded slowly.
"And he ambushed her." Juice finished, knowing exactly where Jax was going with his statement. Jax nodded.
"But then why wouldn't she plead self- defense?" Juice whispered to himself so only Jax could hear. Jax shook his head, then a light bulb went off inside his brain. He looked around, then leaned in close to Juice.
"Unless she couldn't. Unless there's something bigger goin on here." Juice's eyes widened to the size of those oversized jawbreakers and Jax could see the wheels in his head turning. The next thing they heard had them shooting to their feet.
"Three years. Parole at a year and a half for god behavior." The sound of the gavel echoed through the room and the boys shot to their fet as if firecrackers had been lit under them.
Jordan bowed her head, but didn't even attempt to look sorry. Her eyes were cold and hard with a stony glint to them. Juice swallowed hard and walked over to where she stood. When she heard them approach, she jerked her head up and narrowed her eyes.
"I told you not to come." She said sharply, casting an accusing glare at Jax, who just shrugged.
"How could I do anything else?" Juice asked her with so much passion she could feel her own heartbreaking. She closed her eyes and shook her head, then looked at them again.
"One thing. I ask you to do one thing and you couldn't even do that. Just one time." She said icily. Juice shrugged, not looking one bit ashamed.
"I couldn't." He told her, reaching out to take her hands. She took a step back and cleared her throat. Juice's hands dropped to his sides as he stared at her with wide brown eyes. "I couldn't just sit around and wonder. I had to come." She blinked at him, not sure what else to stay.
"Taylor!" The guard called. Tears formed in the corner of her eyes, as well as Juice's but she didn't say anything. Her eyes skipped to Jax and she gave him a small nod, then turned and, with her head held high, walked out of the courtroom.
A/N: Ok, this is chapter two. I'm not sure how trials or anything like that work, so I just had to wing it. Anyway, what'd you think? Ideas for the next chapter?
