Kagome sat in the farthest seat of her homeroom. The student class president was sitting up front, and while she was thankful for this, she was kind of annoyed all the same. Every-so-often, she had the joyous pleasure of catching him looking over his shoulder to see what she was doing, if anything at all. She had been doing the same thing since she got to class. Trying to ignore the hideous looks of jealousy and scorn on her female fans, while dodging the adoring glances of all her male fans. Now...why had this not changed? Because while a normal teacher would have rectified the classes attention, as in, where it should be...this particular teacher had not yet taken the time to even look at his students. Staring at the bored with every stroke of his dry erase marker and head buried in the book he was reading from.
It was only too soon when the bell sounded.
Grabbing her bag, she was the first to make her way out of the classroom. "Excuse me," she cut off the teacher who was walking towards the door, not caring in the least if it seemed rude.
"Miss. Higurashi, show more respect to your teacher!" The man yelled.
Kagome stopped, turned, and smiled charmingly. "I will sir, when I see a teacher...I'll be sure to show my respect. However, until then, could I just get the classes sent to me in audio files? Since all you did was read out of you book...it couldn't be much harder to record the lesson and just play it back in class..." she left with her insult lingering in the air. The teacher was horribly embarrassed, and paid refuge to the principal. It wasn't long within the office that he learned he would have to take the slap to his pride with a chin held high. Her price was much higher than the teachers, and the school board wasn't going to lose a celebrity to a teacher.
"Kagome!"
Kagome jumped and turned around. No one had talked to her since she'd arrived, with of course the exception of the class president, who had only talked to her due to being assigned to give her a tour. No surprise to her, when she turned to find Keigo...or...the King...running in her direction down the hall. "Ah...Ouja..."
"..." Keigo blushed. "We are eating lunch outside on the tennis court bleachers, did you want to join us?"
"Us? This word is of course purposefully plural...yes?"
"Of course, I was referring to myself and my friends." He held his hand out, "come on."
"...King's shouldn't be so willing to offer their hand to a peasant."
"Then there is no problem...you are no peasant...Hime."
A slight pink touched her cheeks and she dropped her head, "you are so weird."

"Keigo-Sama!"
"Sama?"
Keigo laughed, "I did mention that I had many names by which I went."
Nodding, Kagome muttered, "...yes...yes you did." She looked to see the red head who had called out to her escort.
"Ah! Kagome!"
Kagome felt her eyes go as wide as saucers as her hand was taken and she was pulled aside by a boy with a cap. "Who-?!"
"You can call me Ryou! Shishido is my last name! Can you sing for us? Is that asking too much? I'm like, a huge fan of yours."
Kagome smiled, "thank you, but I don't sing on command. I can't feeling the way that I do."
"Are you not well?"
This question came from a blue haired boy that was much taller than herself. His glasses reflecting the sun a bit. "Not in the literal sense. Emotionally, I'm not happy. Anything I sing right now, would just be depressing to listen to."
"...I would still like to hear you sing, myself."
Looking over to a boy who had been lying down upon her arrival, his wild blondish orange hair was haloed around his head on the knee of another boy, this one with red hair in a bob cut. The red haired boy seemed to be looking at her as though he wanted to say something, but that was something she was used to. Looking back to the sleepy looking boy, she sighed and glanced back at the door.
SNAP!
Kagome turned to see a hand held in the air, and followed it to Keigo who was smiling at her. His eyes turned to Kabaji who stood and moved towards the door, hearing unspoken orders to do so. Kagome stared in surprise, but suddenly understood. 'He's really like...a king...such a presence demands attention and obedience.' She sighed, "I have one that I haven't recorded yet, it's more of a work in progress...so, not that I don't trust anyone, but could you all lay your phones in a pile."
"Heh," the red head laid his carefully aside, "Jiro doesn't carry a phone, it's left in his bag. He doesn't want the thing to wake him up during his afternoon naps."
She assumed the sleepy one was Jiro, and nodded. Watching the others place their phones in a pile and for Keigo, he showed her that he was powering it off before putting it back into his pocket. "Thank you," she took a small breath and sighed, closing her eyes, then:
~Like a small boat
On the ocean,
Sending big waves
Into motion.
Like how a single word
Can make a heart open,
I might only have one match
But I can make an explosion...
And all those things I didn't say,
Wrecking balls inside my brain.
I will scream them loud tonight,
Can you hear my voice this time?
This is my fight song!
Take back my life song!
Prove I'm Alright Song!
My power's turned on!
Starting right now I'll be strong!
I'll play my fight song!
And I don't really care if nobody else believes,
Kagome opened her eyes and whispered in a soft melodic voice. "Cause I still got...a lot of fight left in me..."
"WAH~! Mukahi! She's amazing! Such a pretty voice!" Jiro sighed sleepily, happily. Laying his head back down as sleep took him with thoughts of a gentle voice in his head.
Kagome smiled at the sleeping teen and laughed, "Well, that's not much, but it's all that I have right now. I've been working on it this past week, I wish writing music...was as easy as singing it was."
"It's not?" Keigo asked, having never done either.
"No...it's a lot of rhyming and music meshing, but...to me, there isn't much of a reason to sing a song, if it doesn't have a purpose. My music's purpose...is to raise moral, and uplift the confidence of people who have allowed themselves to be beaten down by harsh words of criticism...victims of demeaning circumstances. And just, feel good songs in general. When you hurt...music is a getaway...right?"
Shishido and Keigo nodded, though Mukahi was still staring at her intently. For the most part, everyone ate the rest of their food in silence as they thought over the prodigal vocalists' words...one more than others...
