Qudditch World Cup
Her name was Kenna Potter, she was the twin sister to Harry Potter. They were completely identical in every way except for their eyes, Harry got their mothers beautiful green eyes. But Kenna got unusual icy blue eyes. They were both surprised when they found out that they had the power to do magic. When they started at Hogwarts; Kenna believed that everyone was expecting her to be in Ravenclaw just like her mother, and Harry to be in Gryffindor just like our father. But it surprised everyone when she was placed in Slytherin.
As the years progressed Harry and Kenna were left to save the school many times and last year they even saved their very own godfather from the dementors. In their second year the school thought they were the heirs of Slytherin, when it was found out they could both speak parseltongue. But yes every year something seemed to happen to Harry and Kenna. But they are always hoping for a normal year. But at the moment they're at the Burrow with the Weasley's and Hermione, to go to the 74th Annual Quidditch World Cup.
Having to wake up at the crack of dawn has never been the Kenna's or Harry's strong suit. They both are very deep sleepers. Hermione wandered back into the room she was sharing with Kenna, rolling her eyes when she saw her still fast asleep. Hermione pulled out her wand with a swift flick of her wrist she cast a quick shock spell on Kenna. Making her shoot right out of her bed and on to the floor. Looking around furiously trying to find who had woken her, eyes falling to the sight of Hermione."Was that really necessary Hermione?" Kenna said getting up off the floor.
"Well I need your help in waking up the boys, especially your brother." Hermione said picking up her small backpack and walking out of the room. Letting out a loud sigh, rubbing the remainder of sleep from her eyes. Kenna wandered over to her bag pulling out a pair of dark blue skinny jeans, a Slytherin green frilly tank top, dark grey sweatshirt, and a pair of black boots. She knew that if she didn't get ready and go wake her brother she would be getting an ear full from Hermione. Pulling her hair back into braid, to keep her long wild hair out of her face, though she could never get all of it perfectly into the braid. Taking a quick glance at herself in the mirror beside her bed making sure she looked ready for the day. She walked out into the hall to greet a cross armed Hermione. Shrugging her shoulders and giving a goofy smile they headed down the next two flights of stairs to where the boys were sleeping.
Briskly walking past Hermione; shaking her head as she dumped a bucket of water on Ron. A small laugh leaving both the girls, at the sight of a wet and slightly confused Ron. "Come on Ron; Your mother has breakfast ready." Hermione yells yanking his blankets from the bed, before leaving the room. Ron let out an annoyed groan but pulled himself from his bed heading across the hall to the bathroom. Kenna went to move closer to her brothers bed only to suddenly drop to her knees when a strong surge of pain ran through her body; starting from the small scar on her side. Starring up from her place on the floor to see her brother thrashing around in his bed. Pulling herself together she moved towards the bed and grabs hold of his shoulders tightly. Shaking him hard trying her hardest to wake him from his nightmare.
"Harry! Wake up please! HARRY!" Kenna yelled her voice laced with panic Harry's eyes shot open, and just as soon as the pain had appeared it was gone as well as slowly began to retreat her brothers eyes. Harry starred up at his sister with wide wild eyes, slowly gaining focus. Rubbing them gently sitting up on his bed taking a deep breath.
" Kenna...are you alright?" He looked her over, more worried about her than himself like he was with everyone. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you like that." Kenna was about to protest that he shouldn't worry about it and more on himself but was interrupted. "Don't worry about it, okay? I promise it was nothing." He said trying to sound reassuring but she knew better.
"Uh-huh just nothing huh? Harry that was not just nothing. You don't think that I didn't feel it just like you were." Kenna exclaimed sternly. Hermione then walked into the room, with a yawning Ron following behind her. She smiled at Kenna and Harry.
"Oh Harry your awake. Mrs. Weasley has breakfast ready downstairs. Come on Ronald." Hermione said before walking back downstairs' with Ron close on her heels. Kenna watched them leave turning back to Harry. He was doing everything possible to avoid his sister's eyes. With a low sigh Kenna brushed her fingers through his hair, just like she used to do after their uncle would finish beating Harry. It always seemed to help soothe the pain even if only a little. But she quickly stopped when she noticed his scar.
"Your scar is a little red." Kenna said. Running her fingers softly over the lightening scar, the small heated feeling coming from it made her worry more. Not paying any close attention to her brother until she felt his fingers pressing against her own scar. Trying to act like there had been no pain or a small amount of soreness coming from it. She caught Harry's gaze as he frowned looking at the very spot her scar was under her clothes. "I'm sorry" was all he could say. Kenna shook her head, he had nothing to apologize for it wasn't his fault that they both shared a mark.
"It's nothing; don't change the subject." She said patting his head and moving away from the bed, heading to the door just as the voice of Mrs. Weasley rang from below.
"Kenna! Harry! Come down and get your food, you have to leave soon!" Mrs. Weasley yelled up the stairs. Kenna turned giving Harry a stern look, that relayed a thousand meanings.
"We will talk about this later, no if's, ands or buts." She said turning back around and walking out of the room and down the stairs to the dining room. Leaving Harry to change into some comfortable clothes and get cleaned up for the day. Coming to a sudden halt at the bottom of the stairs, she looked at all the food Mrs. Weasley had made for everyone. But seeing as no one was at the table it probably meant they were all waiting for Harry and her.
"Ah Kenna dear, where's Harry?" Mrs. Weasley asked poking her head out of the kitchen. Kenna smiled and pointed up.
"He will be right down." She said leaning against the wall only for a moment before loud footsteps quickly approach the bottom floor. Unexpectedly a pair strong arms lifted her off the ground.
"Harry, put me down." She squealed, Mrs. Weasley just laughed at them. Handing Harry a small bag of food, so that they didn't starve before they got to their destination. But when anyone is with the Weasley's it is impossible to ever starve due to the amount of food Mrs. Weasley always makes. Kenna continued squirming around on Harry's shoulder but to no avail could she escape from his strong grip on her.
"Now why would I do that?" He said with a goofy grin spreading across his lips, carrying her outside to meet up with everyone else who were waiting for them patiently. The first to notice them approaching was the youngest of the Weasley's and the only girl besides Hermione that was in Gryffindor that Kenna could stand; Ginny Weasley.
"Finally! You guys are so slow. And I thought Ron was slow in the mornings." Ginny said teasing them a little, but it came across more like she was making fun of her brother.
"Sorry; some Gryffindor wouldn't move fast enough to get us out here quicker" Kenna said still hanging over her brothers shoulder, having finally given up and just let it be. She could feel all their stares on them, everyone was well aware of how Kenna and Harry are around each other.
"Harry; why are you carrying Kenna on your shoulder? You know she can walk on her own." Hermione stated giving Harry a questioning look but with small smile. Kenna put an under her chin with some difficulty.
"Yes; why are you carrying me, my wonderful brother?" She said straining to look at him, though it was really hard seeing as she was hanging low. Harry chuckles at the strange way Kenna is trying to look at him.
"Because it's a fun thing to do. Especially when you react to trying to squirm away when you know that I am much stronger than you are. At least in the since of muscle strength." He said finally setting her back on the ground in front of him. Giving her a serious look before reaching out an tickling her sides.
"Harry that's not fair. Stop!" She said gasped out between laughs and wriggling around trying to again escape her brothers grasp. They hadn't noticed that the rest of the group had already started moving. Harry finally stopped his tickling torture, before pulling her into a tight hug squeezing her against his chest. Letting go and ruffling the top of her head just to annoy her.
"I know, Kenna. But it hard not to pester you; I am after all your older brother since you are 10 minutes younger than I am." He said kissing her forehead, even though Harry will tease and pester Kenna. He can still act the "older brother" type and be very protective of her . She punched him in the shoulder making him wince and grab it, giving her a slight glare. Knowing him it didn't hurt at all.
"Alright kids, let us be off." Mr. Weasley said picking up his pack and throwing it on his back heading towards the woods. Harry ran up to Ron who was walking on ahead with Fred and George. Ron unlike the rest of his family thinks Kenna is nothing but dark since she was sorted into Slytherin, instead of into Gryffindor like her brother. Hermione and Ginny were giggling about some guy or something like that. Hermione and Kenna are good friends but since she is in Slytherin, well let's just say she can't exactly have a normal conversation with Hermione without people thinking that she may end up cursing her. So due to this Kenna mostly keep to herself, but she likes to be by herself only if Harry isn't around. She realizes this comes across like she has a big brother complex, even though he is only 10 minutes older than her.
There was suddenly a loud scream pulling Kenna from her thoughts, looking up she saw Hermione and Ginny stopped cold in their tracks. And there right in front of them was a large silver mother viper, she was hissing wildly at them, her fangs dripping venom in anger. As quick as she could; Kenna walked over to them and started hissing back to the snake.
"What's the matter mother viper?" She asked
"I'm just protecting my unhatched babies, and those…those…those things would've stepped on them." the viper replied.
"I see. Let me tell them to take a different path so they don't harm your unhatched hatchlings." Kenna said.
"Thank you Emerald Lady. And tell Raven; we wish him luck in the future." the viper saidbowing her head. Kenna bowed her head back and then turned to Hermione and Ginny.
"Watch where you step." She said before walking back towards the rest of the group. Everything was silent after that, all that could be heard were the birds and crunching of twigs beneath everyone's feet but that didn't last long.
"Dad where are we going!" Ron yelled from a few feet ahead of Kenna.
"Don't worry, just keep up!" Mr. Weasley yelled back to Ron. In the distance Kenna could see a man waiting next to large tree, waving to Mr. Weasley as they got closer.
"Arthur! What kept you so long? I was beginning to worry." the man said smiling a crooked smile.
"Sorry Amus! Some of us had a lazy start this morning while others were just lagging." Mr. Weasley said looking over his shoulder at us all. We all came to a halt in front of Mr. Weasley and the other gentleman.
"This is Amus Diggory; works with me at the Ministry." He said patting Mr. Diggory on the shoulder, just as a boy dropped from above and next to them.
"And this fine boy must be Cedric." Mr. Weasley said greeting the boy.
"Pleasure to meet you sir." Cedric said shaking Mr. Weasley's hand before giving the rest of the group a quick glance over.
"So where is it at?" Mr. Weasley asked turning back to Mr. Diggory.
"Just up ahead." Mr. Diggory said; Mr. Weasley began to walk on ahead followed by the twins, Ron, Ginny, and Hermione, but Mr. Diggory remained behind grabbing a hold of Harry's arm.
"You must be Harry Potter!" Mr. Diggory said looking over Kenna's brother with a sort of astonished look on his face like he wasn't sure if he was really the true Harry Potter.
"Yes, Sir." Harry said trying hard not to back away from the gentleman.
"Great, great, great pleasure to meet you." Mr. Diggory said shaking Harry's hand.
"You too, Sir." Harry replied shaking his hand back glancing to his sister for help. Mr. Diggory caught his gaze and followed it.
"And who is this lovely lady?" Mr. Diggory said looking to her; She partially hid herself behind Harry.
"My sister… Kenna." Harry said grabbing hold of her hand tightly as soon as Mr. Diggory had let go of his.
"Well just as pretty as your mother was. Don't you agree Ced? Ain't she pretty one?" Mr. Diggory said making Kenna's gaze turn to the young man. Cedric looked her up and down, like she was some sort of figure on display; a creepy smile grew across his face. It sent a eerie shivers up her spine making her move closer to her brother.
"Yes, Father she is indeed." Cedric said making Harry grip her hand even tighter than before.
"I think Mr. Weasley and the rest are waiting for us." She said pulling Harry along behind her up towards the Weasley's. The Diggory's followed close behind but she refused to acknowledge they were even there, that Cedric boy just gave her the creeps. Mr. Weasley lead them out of the woods and to the top of a hillside. Ginny and Hermione ran on ahead of everyone.
"Found it, dad!" Ginny yelled back. Everyone quickly wandered over to the object on the ground which turned out to be a old boot or at least that is what it appeared to be.
"Why is everyone surrounding that old boot?" Harry asked.
"That is not just any old boot mate." Fred said with his usually goofy grin.
"It is a portkey." George said with an identical goofy grin of his own. They were all around the old boot getting onto the ground next each other. Each person placing a finger on to the old boot.
"On the count of three, One…..Two…..." Mr. Diggory said. Even though he had gotten on the ground like the rest; Harry still was just staring at the old boot.
"Harry!" Kenna yelled. Just before Mr. Diggory reached three Harry placed a finger on the boot and off they went. Around them everything was spinning into a blur. There was no way to tell which way was up or down. Or where they were at that moment.
"Let go kids!" Mr. Weasley said looking at the group of them.
"WHAT!" Hermione yelled slight terror on her face from the unknown.
"Let go!"Mr. Weasley yelled. Doing as he said: Hermione, Ron, Ginny, Fred, George, Harry and Kenna went flying off spinning wildly towards the ground. As the moved closer the ground below them became more clear until they hit it and came to a sudden stop, causing the air in them to be knocked out of them.
"That hurt." Kenna gasped out lying on the ground trying to regain her breath. Everyone else was doing the exact same thing.
"That cleared your sinus's." Mr. Weasley said with a light chuckle as he landed on the ground in front of them. Fred was the first to stand up shaking his head at his dad before going over to help George up off the ground. Than went over to help Ginny up too. Ron helped Hermione up; Harry just rolled to his feet dusting the dirt from his pants. Cedric walked over to offer Kenna help to stand.
"You alright?" He asked holding out his hand to help her up. Seeing this Harry rushed over to his sister's aid.
"Yeah, I'm fine." Kenna said taking her brother's offered hand instead. Harry pulled her away towards the rest of the group and far from Cedric not that she was complaining; she was glad to be away from him.
"See you at the game." Mr. Weasley said to Mr. Diggory giving a pat on the shoulder.
"Yeah, come on Ced." Mr. Diggory said pulling Cedric away. The rest of them followed Mr. Weasley through the large crowd of people to the tent. Looking at it from the outside it looked like an ordinary tent; not very big to hold them all but on the inside it was like a complete house.
"Alright everyone pick a bed." Mr. Weasley said walking over to a corner bedroom and tossing his pack down.
"Ginny and I call this area." Hermione yelled out from one side of the tent where she and Ginny where having a small pillow fight.
"Fred and I have this one." George yelled from the room next to the kitchen.
"Harry, want to share with me?" Ron asked eyeing Kenna suspiciously like daring her to do something.
"No thanks Ron I'm gonna..." Harry said turning to go to a area of the tent that I was near.
"He would love to share with you Ronald." She said interrupting her brother, walking over to him and pushing him over to Ron.
"Kenna, what about you?" Harry asked looking over his shoulder at her. She shook her head and smiled
"Don't worry about me." She said giving him one final push towards Ron.
"If you're sure about it?" Harry asked not wanting her to feel alone. She was alone more times than she could count one more time wouldn't mean much.
"I am sure." she said wandering back to the room and throwing her bag down. Sitting down on bed, she could hear Hermione scolding the twins about eating the food in the fridge and Ginny laughing about it. Next to her; she could hear Ron and Harry talking about something very loudly. She could hear the irritation in her brother's voice.
"Why are you so nice to her? She's a Slytherin. She is dark" Ron said she got off the bed and peaked over to see the two of them staring at one another.
"She is my sister and always my sister first and for most. Just because she is in Slytherin does not mean she is dark in anyway. I have known her my whole life, there is not a bit evil in her." Harry said.
"Harry, your sister is evil. She's gonna turn out just like You-Know-Who." Ron said louder. Small tears began to form in her eyes, she knew Ron didn't like her but she had never heard anyone say anything like this about her. If they did say things about her it usually included Harry too. They were a package deal when it came to gossip, if one of them was being talked about the other was being talked about too.
"Don't say such things about my sister!" Harry yelled cause a glass nearby to shatter, Ron turned a deep shade of red stunned his friend would yell at him. Kenna thought to herself, Ron had better be glad that it was Harry's anger he was dealing with instead of hers.
"I will say what I want about that traitor. She is just going to turn against you. Just you watch, she is nothing but the next dark lord!" Ron yelled back. Hermione walked over to them to tell Ron that he is being pigheaded. She saw the few tears falling down Kenna's cheeks.
"Kenna, don't listen to him. None of us think that." Hermione said looking at her. Seeing that he had made her cry; all color drained from Ron's face completely."Um...I..." He stammered out.
"I'm just gonna...step out." She managed to say before the rest of the tears ran down my cheeks.
