The Charas are going to be either adults or children with the other characters. Please Review. Thanks for reading my story.
Amu didn't think that her first day of class would be so weird. Seiyo academy was a prestigious school full of rich and poor kids. The chairman and principal was Tsukasa Amakawa. A tall skinny male with brown hair and light violet eyes. He kind of looked like one of Kukai and Daichi's friends. Speaking of them, they were some interesting characters. They were either quick to judge her, or quick to speak to her. One in particular made Amu feel weird. That Ikuto guy. He was tall and skinny, but mysterious. He carried a violin case with a black satchel. His blue hair was a bit long and shaggy styled. His blue eyes were piercing, like a cat would when they wanted to capture their prey.
Amu ignored him after he refused to say hi to her. She was not there to make friends. She was there to live her life until she was able afford her own place with Dia. Currently, Amu is working in Aunt Su's bakery, during the weekends. During the week, Aunt Miki takes care of Dia in the morning and Aunt Ran takes care of Dia on weekends. Amu had asked them if she could pay them, but they all refused.
Dia, or Diamond, was the cutest five-week-old baby. Kukai and Daichi loved playing with her. To Amu, Dia looked more like her. She had light eyes, but that could change in a few months. She also had her mother's light brown hair. However, Dia's hair was more of an orange color, like her little sister Ami. She was a good baby. She slept through the night and barely cried. Amu was thankful. Her parents were already in love with Dia. Her father would constantly send her a gift every week for her. Her mother demanded a picture every day. Ami was happy too. The eight-year-old boasted to everyone how grown up she was because she was an aunt.
Amu was happy that her family's relationship was getting better, but she knew if she were to ever return home, the fighting would happen again.
"Penny for your thoughts?" A voice said.
Amu looked up. It was Tadase, the cute blond guy. She was currently walking from one class to the other. Her last class was with a laid-back teacher with dark blue hair and gold eyes. He told everyone to call him Yoru. Apparently, he was a huge fan of fish. That was all he spoke about, although the subject was history. This school was so interesting.
Amu smiled up at Tadase. "Just thinking about how the rest of my first day would go."
Tadase nodded. "I understand. It's always hard being the new kid, I'm sure."
"Amu!" Aunt Ran called out. The coach waved at her from down the hallway.
Amu rolled her eyes. Ran as just as eccentric as her father. He can never deny that she was his sibling. Amu looked over at Tadase to apologize for her aunt's behavior. She was shocked when she saw him blushing. She had no choice, but to laugh. Did this shy, but adorable boy, have a crush on her aunt?
"Ms. Hinamori!" another voice called out.
This teacher was handsome. He had lavender hair with blue eyes. He looked like a prince from a fairy tale. He wore a nice royal blue suit with a red tie. He walked up to Aunt Ran and yelled at her unprofessionalism.
"I swear, Mr. Hotori is such a nag." A couple of students said as they passed Amu and Tadase.
"Hotori?" Amu asked, looking at Tadase. One of her many talents was memorizing people's name and faces. Which was funny, considering that she couldn't with Dia's father.
"My older brother, Kiseki. He's the dean of the school. But always yells at Ms. Hinamori." Tadase said angrily.
Amu looked back at her aunt. She was smiling while Kiseki yelled at her. He seemed like a know it all, but it appeared that the two had an air about them. Like her parents did whenever they flirted with each other.
Amu learned something today. Tadase was in a love triangle with her aunt and his brother. After the bell rang, every one scattered. Amu was placed in a senior class. At first, she thought it was a mistake. Yet, the secretary explained that due to her transfer grades, she was able to move up a grade in some of her classes.
Amu shared a class with her cousin, Kukai, and Ikuto. Apparently, Ikuto was Utau's brother. Utau was beautiful and Amu was jealous of her looks. She couldn't believe a girl like her dated her stupid cousin. Amu wondered what happened between the two.
"Ms. Himamori?" the called out.
"Hinamori." She corrected. Kukai rolled his eyes at the teacher.
Yuu Nikadou. Or Uncle Yuu as Amu knew him when he was married to Aunt Su. He was Kukai and Daichi's father. No one knew that they were related to each other. The three kept it a secret, with the twins changing their last name to their grandmother's maiden name, Souma. From what Amu remembered, Yuu was engaged to his high school sweetheart Ms. Yukari Sanjo, the math teacher.
"Apologies." Her former uncle, now robotics teacher stated.
It was awkward being in the room with father and son, especially when son hated said father. Every one in the house knew not to mention anything about Uncle Yuu to the twins. In their eyes, he dumped their mother to marry his ex. In retrospect that was technically true. However, Aunt Su assured them that wasn't true.
After class was over, Uncle Yuu asked Amu to stay for a few minutes. Luckily, the school gave the students ten minutes to get to the next class, and Amu's was right next door.
"Congrats." He whispered.
"Thank you…um, sensei?"
He chuckled. "Thanks, I know its going to be awkward, but please keep calling me that. I'm sure you know how beneficial secrets are."
Amu nodded in agreement. "I know. Don't worry. I won't say a thing. I'm sure you have enough going on with the wedding and all."
Yuu sighed. He pushed his orangish hair back and removed his glasses to clean it. He looked different, more handsome. This was the Uncle Yuu that Amu was used to. The one aunt Su fell for. "Do you know if the boys are coming? It's the end of the summer and I want my sons to be in my wedding."
Amu hesitated to answer. She heard them arguing with Aunt Su a few nights ago about attending their father's wedding. It was kind of sad hearing the names they called their father. Amu thought of Dia. Would she think the same about her father?
Who was he? Why wasn't he involved in her life?
Would she think that Amu was a slut for sleeping with a guy and not remembering his face? All she remembered was his beautiful blue eyes.
"Anyways, you'll be late to your next class. Go on for now." Uncle Yuu said.
"Okay, sensei."
Amu nodded and left. She quickly walked out. She was stopped by a hand. Amu turned to slap the person who touched her. It was Ikuto. He caught her hand before she left a mark.
"Sorry, love. Didn't mean to scare you." He apologized, releasing her.
Amu stepped away. "What is it? I have to get to class."
"Just being a true gentleman and waited for you."
Amu crossed her arms over her chest, not noticing Ikuto's eyes widen. "Why?"
Ikuto coughed into his fist. "I am a part of the welcoming committee at school. I give a tour to all the new students." He smirked.
Amu chuckled. "Right…like ill believe that. Look Ikuto, I don't have time for stupidity. I'll see you." Amu walked away, not caring how much she peeked Ikuto's interests.
"What is Amu short for?" Ikuto asked Kukai.
The boys were currently in gym. Coach Ran was the best teacher. She didn't care what you did, as long as you did something relative to sports or exercise. Kukai, Daichi, Tadase, and Ikuto were "jogging" outside the gym. The field of Seiyo academy was as big as an American football field.
Daichi and Tadase were ahead of them, talking among themselves. Their gym uniform was all gray with the school's symbol. A weird bright egg-shaped ball with the school's name in cursive going across the egg.
"Amulet, why?"
"I think I like her." He said with confidence.
Kukai laughed. "Dude, she was a whole ki-uhh, she has an ex. She's not interested in any one. That jerk really did a damage on her." Kukai said.
"Oh? How?" Ikuto said.
"Well, they were dating, then after he took her virginity, he up and left. She was devastated. That's why she moved with us. She was too depressed. You know if you got with Amu, shell probably be that clingy type you hate."
Ikuto shook his head. "Nah, I doubt she is. Amu doesn't seem like that type of girl."
"Dude, she's my cousin. I think I know her better than you."
Ikuto smirked. "Yeah, okay. When a girl gets a man, she changes. You should know. Utau was queen B."
"She still is." Kukai commented.
Ikuto nodded in agreement. "But she's obsessing over you. You don't see her glancing over here every five minutes?"
Ikuto pointed his head to direct Kukai. Utau, with a group of girls, were all "bashfully" looking at the boys running. Utau blushed when her eyes met with Kukai's. She turned away and walked to Kiseki, Tadase's older brother. He was yelling at coach Ran again.
"So, what the hell happened to you guys?"
Kukai shrugged his shoulders. "She said her career as a singer was more important than her relationship with me. She thinks a singer and an athlete won't be a good couple for the blogs.
Ikuto stopped running to laugh. "Are you freaking kidding me? She sounds like a horse dying when she sings."
"She does not! She sounds like an angel!" Kukai defended.
"More like a demon." Ikuto mumbled.
Kukai rolled his eyes. "What do you know?"
"I know too much. Now…" Ikuto wrapped his arms around Kukai. "What does Amu like?"
Amu was kind of scared entering the lunch room. It was massive, as big as her whole former school. The lunches were actual meals. Not the frozen treats of pizza and milk that was probably man-made. She slowly followed the short, long haired blonde girl in her home ec. class. Rima Mashiro. They were partners.
"If you're vegetarian or vegan, there are choices for you." She pointed to the tofu and salad bar.
Amu thanked her. It would be good if she started eating healthy. The nutrients would be passed to Dia via breast milk. Amu took some. Rima explained to Amu the rules of the lunch room. Food expenses were included in the tuition. Since this was a private school, the groups ranged from the super-rich, rich, and then everyone else. Superrich were people like Ikuto, Utau, and Tadase. Rich were Rima. And everyone else was well…everyone else.
The Hinamori's would be considered working class, but more towards the middle class. Aunt Su owned her own bakery. Aunt Miki was actually a very famous artist. Aunt Ran, before she became a teacher, was a coach to many athletes. Her parents were a photographer and an editor. And sensei Yuu was an engineer before he became a teacher.
"Luckily, we are humble and not stuck up. At least some of us were," Rima said. Amu looked at the person Rima was referring too. Saaya Yamabuki, she was a part of the superrich. Amu laughed. Saaya was all over Ikuto and Tadase, who completely ignored her.
"She's harmless." A male voice said.
Rima and Amu turned to a handsome guy with long dark purple hair and light brown eyes. Rima hugged the boy and kissed him. Amu was taken aback. Rima appeared so reserved and without emotion.
"Look who Yaya brought!" she exclaimed, pointing to the guy that Rima was devouring.
"Um…?" was Amu was able to say.
"This is Nagihiko. Rima's boyfriend. He's the singer Rhythm."
Amu suppressed a squeal. Rhythm was the hottest celebrity. Amu always loved his music videos. She actually played his music on her belly so Dia could hear him. She wanted to cry. She went to school with her favorite singer.
Nagihiko released Rima. He apologized to Amu and properly introduced himself. Amu couldn't speak.
"I love your music." She blurted out.
He laughed. "Thanks. Yaya always has to announce who I am to new people. I heard you were Kukai's cousin?"
Amu nodded.
"And my future girlfriend." Ikuto said, wrapping his arm around Amu's curvy hip.
Amu pushed him away. She tried to explain, but all eyes were on her. They were shocked. Was Ikuto a celebrity too?
"In your dreams," Utau said. She grabbed Amu's arm. What was up with these Tsukiyomi's and personal space? "Amu, did Kukai date anyone over the summer?"
"Why don't you ask me?" Kukai questioned. Utau scoffed and walked away. "Interfering much?" he said to Ikuto.
"I'm stating facts. So, Amu, I heard you like chocolate ice cream. There's an ice cream shop at the mall. Interested?"
Amu rolled her eyes. Then, she felt a sharp pain on her chest. Oh, she forgot to bring the pump this morning. Amu winced in pain. She looked over to Kukai.
Kukai didn't know what was going on. Amu could tell. Amu walked closer to him. She whispered, "I forgot the pump."
Kukai laughed, then took out his phone to text his mom and aunts. Amu smacked him.
"Amu, is everything okay?" Rima asked.
Amu nodded. "I feel a bit dizzy is all."
"Oh no!" Yaya said. "We have to get you to the nurse."
Amu refused.
"Afraid of needles, Amu-Koi?" Ikuto asked.
"Koi? I'm not your-ow!" she said grabbing her chest. She dropped her plate of salad.
Kukai cursed.
"Amu!" she heard her name being called.
"I'm okay," she assured them. This was peculiar. This never happened to her. She, then, felt someone pick her up. Ikuto held her firm in his arms. She ignored his hard muscles. "What are you doing?
"You're in pain, right? I'll take you to the nurse."
"I can walk!" Amu shouted.
Ikuto smiled at her. "Just pretend you're my princess for the day." He said.
Amu couldn't say nothing. Not because of the pain, but because his words made her feel something she hadn't felt since Dia's father. Is the first day of school over yet?
