Three months past and Danielle hadn't heard from Casey. She was sad that her mom didn't seem to be a part of her life at the moment. Danny didn't know if she should call or wait to hear from her mom. While the time passed her and Nick got closer together. Adam and Ryan were still trying to adjust to having them get closer together. It took awhile for Adam to be okay with him dating his niece. That was the only time that he acted like an uncle and not just a regular liked knowing someone was there to have her back. She still had her friends from her old school that she would talk too all the time. It was hard to find times to hang out with them but she did her best to sty in contact. Adam and Danielle showed up to school and saw that Nick and Ryan were waiting at Danielle's locker. It seemed to be a long week end but it went by fast. Summer was coming soon and everyone couldn't wait until they got on vacation. Nick smiled as Danny approached. Adam was a little concerned that all they did was hang out. He was hoping to just get some guy time without Danny around. He did like her but it wasn't the same when she was around. Danny wanted to have girl time alone but t was hard when it seemed like Nick always wanted to hang out.

"You guys want to do something this weekend?"

"Yea I hear there is a new club opening up."

"Sorry I'm gonna have to past. I have some friends coming over so I will just see you after."

"Well we can just wait for you to be available and go next weekend."

"No you guys go without me."

She saw the relief on Adam's face when she told them to go without her. She needed time for just her and the girls. It wasn't too often that they were all able to get together and she didn't want to feel guilty for ruining Ryan and Adam's weekend because Nick didn't want to spend time apart. Danny was trying to figure out how well this relationship was going to work. She didn't know that he was so clingy when they first met. He was still a great guy she just needed to work on getting him use to not spending time with her and just hanging out with the guys. The week flew by and before she knew it it was friday night and all her girlfriends were coming over to her house. After school she didn't go to her parents house she went straight home. She could tell Nick was upset by this but by the time she got there her friends would be arriving too. When she got there she saw a note from her dad on the counter.

Danny,

Sorry I won't be home tonight. I got called in for an emergency practice. Please don't be mad but we will have to reschedule having your friends over. I promise this won't happen again. Let me know if you decide to go to your grandparents tonight.

Now Danny was mad, this was the third time that he had canceled having her friends over. She knew that he had already gotten a hold of them because when she texted them they all seemed upset. She decided if they couldn't come over here then she would meet them at the mall. They all agreed that going on a little shopping trip would be fun. She grabbed her purse and jumped on the bus that went to the mall. It didn't take long to get to the mall. After shopping and buying some cute new outfits. Her friends had to start heading back to their houses and it was a longer ride for them than her. She said her goodbyes and as she was getting ready to leave she ran into some girls that went to her school. She felt bad that she didn't know anyone from her own school besides the boys. The girls seemed to notice her and started to walk over to her.

Hey you're name is Danny right? I'm Cassie."

"Yeah, that's my name. It's nice to meet you."

"Are you here with anyone?"

"No I was suppose to come with my dad but he is busy so I just came by myself."

"Do you want to hang out with us?"

"Sure, if you guys don't mind?"

"Not a problem. Why don't you hang out with a lot of kids at school?"

"Well my boyfriend Nick really doesn't let me so it is often I get to hang out without him around."

"Wow I would hate that. You seem really cool. Oh let me introduce you to my friends. This is Allie, Jessie, and Sara."

"It is nice to meet you all. Where are you guys going?"

"To this new food club thing that just opened."

"It sounds like fun."

"It is and you have to know people to get in too. It is a good thing that Sara knows that owner."

"Yeah, well the owner is my dad so all my friends get to come in. You can come in I like you."

"Thanks I would really like that."

Danny didn't even think about how the guys mentioned going to a club at the beginning of the week. When she told them she wouldn't make it, it just slipped from her mind. She thought this would be a nice way to get to know new people and they seemed to be nice. She liked hanging out with the guys but it wasn't the same as being able to have girls around. Danny wanted to make some girl friends at her new school for her to be able to have more than the same people to talk about her problems with. As Danielle walked away to go to the bathroom to change into one of her new outfits The girls turned and started to talk to each other.

"Are you sure that Nick is going to be here tonight?"

"Yeah don't worry Sara. He is I got his friends to get him to come just make sure they are on the list."

"I will."

"Don't you guys feel bad about this? She didn't know that you liked him. She moved here and Nick was one of the first people she met."

"It is time she met knew people and to see that Nick is holding her back."

They stopped talking when they saw Danielle coming when she got there they told her they loved her outfit. That she would make everyone jealous that they couldn't have her. Then they headed to the club. When they got there they were the first ones there they walked in and looked around. When it was time for the club to open they all left so everyone could see them enter. They sat in the food court. Jessie texted Ryan to find out where the guy were in the club that wanted to make sure that they were in there and where they were in the club. When they walked in everyone was starring at them. Nick looked at them as they walked in and then realized that Danielle was one of them. He was angry he thought she had lied to him. He walked up to.

"What are you doing here? I thought you were hanging out with your friends from your old school at your house tonight?"

"I was but when I got home and my dad had canceled my friends coming over because he had to leave for business. We had a change of plans and came shopping at the mall. My friends were leaving when I bumped into everyone and they invited me along"

"I thought I could trust you!"

"You can."

"I don't think I can."

"Fine then I am going to dance with some else then."

With that argument she left the club. She didn't feel like being out anymore. She just wanted to go home and crawl into her bed. She hated how Nick wouldn't listen to her and that these girls could be that mean and do this too her. Now she knew why she didn't want to come here in the first place. Adam had changed her mind but it was only a matter of time before everything would work out to how to would have been in Adam didn't step in. Danny was also a little upset by the fact that Adam and Ryan didn't step in to defend her. She figured they would like it better this way. She could tell they were a little scared about the two of them dating and now they didn't have to worry about it.
