((Doing a perspective flip, first person felt weird for me, going to third-person following))

Previously on Dragon Ball Super Fighterz:
Android 21 had sacrificed herself to ensure the destruction of her evil counterpart. The soul that was bound to the Z-Warriors had said his farewell prior to finding his body- but with some new improvements! Uncertain of what to make of these, he made his way off to Capsule Corps and fought with Vegeta who thought Super Saiyan Blue was the best way to test Todd's power! After consuming a senzu bean, he was brought into the lab and Bulma began to examine him, what will we find out about the newest Z-warrior?

Victory Party:

The Z Warriors Meet Their Old Friend for the First Time

"Well... After running some diagnostics, it seems that you are genetically you- at least as far as the DNA test went..." Bulma flipped the page, sighing, "The only thing I could find is that your energy output is increasing at a rate of 1.3 times per hour-" She shifted her position placing her hand on her chin, looking to the clock, "I don't know if it'll cap at a certain rate, but you've already grown by that at least once since you've gotten here- Hmmmmm, this is peculiar..." She shrugged, "Oh well, it just means Vegeta and Goku get a new person to train with! I know Goku will be happy to hear that!" Bulma nodded, "Anyway, I went ahead and invited everyone to a party tomorrow- for victory over the evil 21, would you like to stay?"

Todd nodded eagerly, "Yeah, for sure!-" He paused, unsure if he wanted to ask, "I was... actually wondering if there was a chance for me to get a job in Capsule Corps. 21 told me she wanted to consider her cells for medicinal purposes, and I think Buu would be happy to help if I offered him some sugar," Bulma and Todd chuckled together at that little joke.

"I'm sure he would!" Bulma chimed, "Anyway, I would like to run some more tests on you when we get the chance, but I'll certainly leave the lab open to you if you want it for something- now get some rest! Goku is probably going to want to fight you tomorrow -" she sighed, "He's gonna be so angry with Vegeta..." She shrugged, "Oh well!"

Todd nodded at her before leaving the small medical bay. This mansion was insane something he never thought he'd ever have in seven of his lifetimes, let alone one. The Briefs were certainly an amazing group of people, that's for damn sure. He made his way to the bedroom the family provided. He sighed as he made his way to the shower. He needed to clear his head. After he finished his shower, he collapsed onto the bed and fell immediately asleep.

Todd awoke and made off to the gravity room, Vegeta recommended him start training with him in the morning. He decided to take the saiyan up on that offer. The two of them trained for a while. Todd was actually quite surprised he could keep up with Vegeta considering how he was only beaten by him yesterday, but Bulma did mention that he was growing at a rather exponential rate. They ended up leaving the gravity chamber after a while and Bulma had them eat breakfast. While they were eating Bulma had pulled out a small round disc, "Oh, it's Whis-" she pressed a button, "Hey there!"

"Greetings Bulma! I just wanted to let you know that Lord Beerus and I might be a little late to your party, we're on our way to meet with King Yemma to talk about 21's reincartion~" Todd flinched, he was certain that he was okay with that. But hearing about it made him... Uneasy, he wasn't really sure if he wanted that or not now that he was back in business. Whis looked over and saw him, "Oh! If it isn't you, I'm glad to see you up and around!" He chuckled, "If we see 21 is there something you'd like us to say to her?" Todd swallowed his food before replying, "Just, uh, tell her I wish her the best!"

Whis raised an eyebrow, "Is that all? I feel like you would have much more to say~ But, very well if I see her I'll be sure to relay the message!" He turned his attention back to Bulma, "Be sure to stockpile plenty of yummy food for us~" Before Bulma could even reply, Whis hung up.

Bulma sighed, "Those two are such a pain sometimes-" She looked over to Todd, Vegeta, and Trunks, "I need your help to set up the party, so let's get to it!" Vegeta's mouth twitched before he complied. Trunks whined, "But I don't wannaaaa" Bulma shot him a look. He froze before nodding, "Okay, okay! I'll help!" Todd laughed at the whole kerfuffle, knowing damn well what Vegeta had said about her prior, "Sure, I'll help- it's the least I can do!" Todd got up and placed his dishes in the sink.

They set out and began setting up the party, Bulma had rented a property a bit further away from her home. She knew what Goku was going to be doing and didn't want to risk the city being obliterated. The four of them had nearly finished setting up the party, really at this point they just needed to set the tables. Todd placed a rather large circular table and looked to Bulma, "Why is this one larger than the others?"

Bulma shrugged, "Honestly, I figured a lot of people would want to get to know you, seeing as how you were inside so many of them," She relaxed her pose a little, placing her hand on her hip. Todd nodded in reply, that seemed fair enough. The guests began to trickle into the party and, sure enough, all of the seats by Todd were taken up rather quickly. Krillin, Yamcha, 18, Maron, Tien, Piccolo, Gohan, Videl, Pan, Trunks, really the table was filled faster than Todd expected!

Yamcha made a side-eyed glance at Todd, "So, buddy, how's the luck with the ladies? Did you have someone to come home to?" Todd shook his head, "Actually, no, I had lived on my own for a while, nothing out of the ordinary, fell asleep and the next thing I knew I was linked with 18," He said looking over to 18. She nodded, recalling the events, "That was... weird, to say the least."

The group had continued asking Todd about various things on his life: where he was from, what his family was like, among other things. Then... 21 came up, "Such a shame we couldn't do anything to help 21..." Gohan lamented. The table nodded in agreement, "Yeah..." Todd began to clench his fists tighter. Wishing he could have done something- 18 reached her hand and placed it over his reassuringly, "You did what you could" is what her look told him. Was it that obvious? 18 removed her hand before playing a bit with Maron.

Thankfully, Whis and Beerus joined the party and broke up some of Todd's awkward internal silence. They looked around and made their way to the buffet table when they finally saw it, "Oh my, Lord Beerus, this table looks absolutely delightful!" Whis took up a plate and placed on some different items from the table, "Mmm, mmm~" He chimed, Beerus nodded in agreement.

"Better than what that 'King' Yemma offered to us, I even told him that I didn't want any of his drab food, either. But he insisted," Beerus sighed, "So I ate what I could, but I considered it more of an appetizer."

Todd looked around, slightly confused though, where was Goku? He saw that Whis and Beerus were here, he waved at them rather casually and Whis offered a polite return as he walked over, "Oh my, if it isn't the soul that was trapped in everyone's body! How delightful to finally make your acquaintance! You certainly seem a lot stronger than our last encounter, I'm impressed!"

Todd nodded at him, "It's nice to see you again! I was wondering," He looked down to his food, "Did you, uh, see 21?" He blushed slightly. Whis shook his head at him "We only asked King Yemma to reincarnate her today, actually. She'll be picking her new life within the-" Whis tapped his chin contemplating how much time had passed, "Hour or so, actually! Why? Did you want to see her?~" He teased.

Todd reddened in his face, "Yes... Do you know how I could get there?" Whis smirked at him before speaking, "Well, I could take you there right now-" He looked over to Beerus, then back to Todd "But it seems Lord Beerus is busy and I must attend to him- but I believe you only have to go to the lookout and the Guardian can take you there!" Whis handed him a small coin, "This coin should get you in without too much a hassle~" Whis winked at Todd, "Much more romantic that way, don't you think?"

Todd held the coin in his hand. He turned back to the people he was earlier talking to, "I'm—I'm sorry I have to go!" Krillin smirked at him, "The Lookout is the tallest thing in the world, you can't miss it. Just go high up and head that way!" He pointed out the general direction of the lookout, "Go get her, tiger!" Krillin cheered at him, "Thanks!" Todd said before bolting off!

The table busted into laugher together, Yamcha jabbing Krillin's shoulder, "Seems you're not the only one with a thing for Androids!" The two of them shared laughter before Goku appeared onto the table, Chichi and Goten in arms. He set them down before speaking, "Hey guys! You see Todd? I heard from Bulma that he got really stronger!"

Krillin shrugged, "You just missed him, actually! But he's on an important mission! I wouldn't go after him if I were you, Goku..." Goku frowned at this, "Oh but come onnnnn, Vegeta already got to fight him! Why can't I?"

Whis came over, "I'm afraid our new friend is saying his final goodbyes, although I personally doubt they'll be final~" He winked, with Krillin and Yamcha snickering in response. Goku scratched his head, "Sound confusing but okay..."

Todd flew at a steady pace, he wasn't sure if he should even be doing this. But he knew that he wanted to. Would he even be able to let her go again? He sighed, "Women are tough... Vegeta was right, they're the only attack impossible to defend against..." Shaking his head he remembered all the good times he had with 21. Her smile, her talking about her plans after the fact. Her final moments crossed his mind as well, that's something he loved about her. She was willing to sacrifice her life to save everyone. It came as a shock to some, but he had linked with her enough that he felt like that was her plan all along... He wished he could have done something more against her evil version and perhaps she would still be here and they could finally enjoy each other... Another thing Vegeta said flashed into his head, "...One step to gaining strength is finding something to protect..." Those words echoed in his head. "...finding something to protect..." he clenched his fists, "...Something to protect..." – No. This would not be the end. Todd was going to get 21 back. He flew off at a faster pace, he was going to bring her back.

King Yemma placed some papers on the desk, eyeing them with his glasses, "Right then, Android 21...?" A pink figure stood in front of his mahogany desk, "You called for me, sir?" She bowed respectfully, "Lord Beerus had put in a personal request for your reincarnation... He told me to give you anything you wanted," He brought out his pen and prepared to fill out some paperwork, "So, what is it you want to be?" 21 shifted as she brought her hand to her chin, "Hmmmmm..."

Will Todd make it in time to convince 21 to return to the living? Will 21 even want to come back? Will 21 return Todd's feelings or will he be rejected? Will Goku get his chance to spar with Todd? Will Todd's mysterious powers be explained?
