I wrote this poem to go with the story, and maybe this helps clear some things up. Or maybe not, I don't know. If you have questions, PM me please. Thanks!
Two For Tragedy
A sleeper lies,
Too still upon his bed,
His current state,
Is long expected,
The product of many years,
Spent in illness;
As white-clad soldiers,
Comrades of the fallen,
Pay their last respects;
Two sleepers lie,
So still within their caskets,
Together in death,
As they were in life;
One followed the other,
Into the abyss,
For living without,
Would have been too much,
Even for that man;
Between the two,
Lie all the words
They should have said,
All the sentiments,
Never expressed,
All the love,
Never shared;
No eternity,
Even for them,
Only sleep,
And its great waiting emptiness.
