Lucius's P.O.V.

I sensed it. I knew that this boy had it in him. He could bring back the best of times. The triumph of evil over good. Everything depended on him. Out of everyone, it haaaad to be Potter's child? Well, it will show him right for eliminating Voldemort. I immediately called Slughorn and convinced him of the opportunity this child brought. It took some time, but he's on my side. It will be good to have someone else at Hogwarts to help me out. Well, I'll be pretty near the boy too, seeing as I was appointed to teach the Defence Against The Dark Arts class. McGonagall was really stupid enough to think that I would have changed with time and that I would be all about teaching my students AGAINST the dark arts. Ha. As if. Though, it was logical of her to ask me, seeing as I'm probably the person that knows the most about the dark arts that's not incarcerated or dead.

Now, I have to figure out what to do to get this boy on our side. Surely his dad must have put some values of love, bravery and goodness in his head. We must get those values out for him to be any value to us, but how...If he is sorted in Gryffindor, he is as good as out of my reach. He won't even have a doubt that his good side is bigger than his bad. The hat will probably let him choose between Slytherin and Gryffindor sensing both in him, but I'm certain he will go for the latter.

I have to figure out a way to rid the child of the choice. Force him into Slytherin. Make him think he is more ambitious and cunning then those pathetic Gryffindors. The official hat won't... but who said it was against the rules to bring in a fake...
