Nyx, the raven companion of Sybil, walked in dressed in her black feathered ballerina outfit. Her bird eyes narrowed in distaste at the two detectives and the new rookie cop from before behind them. Unlike the rest of her companions, Nyx was special as she had been born a shape shifter and followed Sybil loyally, because she was interesting.
"Nyx, where's White Leopard and Circe?" Sybil asked Nyx.
"They're coming with spare clothes for you. How disgusting that the detectives drag you out in that (her gown) without letting you change." Nyx scoffed and headed to the bedroom.
"She's always difficult at night." Sybil sighed in her head.
"Fine. I don't want to see any more of your demon spawn anyway." He tossed the files carelessly on the coffee table before his partner and the other cop walked out.
Sybil sighed as she sunk down in the chair. She was too tired to go grocery shopping, get linens for the bed and bathroom, and have the ghost spiders make her a new wardrobe. She fell asleep immediately.
"Hey, so she's a witch right? I thought witches cast curses with spell books?" The rookie asked Steven.
His partner answered. "They do. However, every witch and other supernatural are not cookie cutter with powers. They may be the same species and breed but they have different abilities. Some use sacrifices for everything. Some use nature and others use their talents they would still have as a human. Sybil uses herbs and aromatherapy for her spells. She can also sing spells to make the spells or ingredients faster and more efficient. She also has an affinity with the moon. Her spells are much more powerful at night particularly her singing spells."
Steven explained further. "She has five servants at her beck and call. They all have a mark between their shoulder blades that's proof she owns them. Jericho, the white bat, is her spy along with Nyx the raven. Circe the cat is her assistant and errand girl. The White Leopard is her bodyguard. She used to be one of us until she was on her deathbed from a zoo attack by a rare white leopard. Now she's a monster, a shape shifter that knows our protocol and one of our best female fighters. She dresses like a tribal warrior and even welds a spear. Luna is her enforcer more than her bodyguard. We're pretty sure that white dire wolf does a lot of deeds in the dark. I'd avoid her. In fact, just stop thinking of them as people. They're the only ones that outwardly show their monstrosity. Our task force was created to use them until they pose a threat or of no use."
"Then we kill them. I always sleep like a baby afterwards." The partner, Beck, added. It made the rookie uncomfortable…
Circe, dressed in a black silk pencil skirt, white blouse, black blazer, and black tie opened the door for Sybil. The two were down at the police station to look at the victims of RSM, the serial killer that's the top news for three months straight. He's claimed five victims so far, and he leaves a cryptic message with the police after they find his kill. Sybil will also be looking at that.
Sybil wore calf-high black leather and black crushed velvet stiletto Victorian boots. The laces were blue. A black and blue bustled skirt, a form-fitting blue blouse with bell sleeves and a black formfitting vest with blue accents and shoelace string, certainly attracted the attention of the policemen if the black velvet cape with gold leaf embroidery did not have their eyes stray from their tasks first. Sybil knew where the task force's station was at, but she accepted help anyway since the policeman, Jerry, was always willing to help her.
When she opened the doors, the policemen stared in stunned silence for a few moments before casually focusing on their task only occasionally sneaking glances at the strange people.
"I wish you'd dress with the times. Your looks should change with the hottest trends like other 22 year old women." Steven groaned. Beck nodded in agreement.
"I don't care. Now, where are the bodies? I'd like to purify them and get a closer look at the bodies of RSM." Sybil told them casually.
