AN- Thank you random reader for taking the review part of read and review seriously! I was just thinkign about her vision in the hall of the Soothsayer and how it seemed to make her really sad. I can't help but think that Nasuada would be constantly thinking of the past if she was with Murtagh. Brooding over past events is never a good thing.

Lets just say I have some evil plans for this fic, and I'm pretty sure everyone is going to hate me at the end. But, I don't mind~

Well, I'm obviously not CP, and a good thing too. Love him and his work though I do, Inheritance left a lot to be desired. I hope he doesn't abandon Alagaesia just yet! I don't own any of this, other wise I'd have a lot more money. XP

The pair plummeted through the cloud layer. Murtagh dropped off Thorns back and landed carefully on the balcony of the small estate Nasuada was using. He just stood there, completely frozen by the sight before him.

Nasuada was sitting on a small couch, her hair brushed until it shone in the firelight. She was wearing a simple nightdress, with matching little slippers. The woman was reading, and rarely, it was only for recreation. His heart ached at her serene beauty, the aura of calm authority she let off. He felt some the ache that had been curled in his chest dissipate at the sight of her.

The door opened. Her head snapped up in surprise and fear. Her expression remained wary and guarded, but she relaxed at the sight of Eragon in the doorway. She set the book down next to her and hugged him, far more than a casual embrace. His arms linked around her slender waist, hers around his neck, her head on his chest. That ever familiar pain returned, stronger than ever within Murtagh.

He turned to leave, his hopes all but gone. As he turned, the door clicked open behind him, Nasuada standing in the open night air. Her hair rippled in the faint breeze. Behind her, still inside, Eragon stared openly at him, his expression one of pure surprise.

Murtagh offered no explanation, no conversation nor greeting of any kind. He stared ahead into the night, trying to calm his nerves.

"Murtagh" Her soft voice reached him through his faint panic "Please, come in for a while."

AN- I think I'm gonna keep these chapters short, its just easier on me. Thank you for reading, please review. Sorry about my updating schedule, between all advanced classes and a long distance relationship, I have 0 time on my hands these days. Still, I hope to get back on my updating schedule... soon-ish.

Seems innocent enough so far, doesn't it? ...MUHAHAHAHAHA! My only problem is that I know where I want to go with this story, I just don't know how to get there just yet...

again, please review and all that nice machinimas
