chapter 2 Saturday the following morning. Kubo was using the bathroom when Misheru pushed open the unlatched door and both of them screamed. Mr. and Mrs. Toshimitsu were cooking breakfast and setting the table when they heard the scream. And shrugged Mrs Toshimitsu smiled "Well here goes to day one." she and her husband laughed. Misheru slammed the bathroom door shut. and ran back to her room. Kubo left the bathroom and knocked on his sisters bedroom door. "Bathrooms open….." Misheru opened the door and stuck her head out Kubo bowed "Im so sorry it will never happen again." Misheru nodded and ran to the bathroom. Kubo looked into the room and saw Cedric still asleep, but on the floor. Misheru after using the bathroom went back to her room and saw cedric clutching Kubo as he clawed the floor gasping for air trying to escape. Misheru dug through Cedrics bags and found her big pillow and smacked Cedric and Kubo with it. Cedric released Kubo and yelled at Misheru "What was that for?! First I fall off the bunk and now your beating me!" Misheru pointed to Kubo who was curled in the fetal position gasping for air praising shrugged and walked into the bathroom to change and get ready for breakfast. Misheru crouched down next to Kubo and helped him stand up "Come on I smell breakfast." Kubo looked at her wild eyed "What just happened?" Misheru shrugged as they walked down the stairs "Cedric fell out of bed and was too tired to get back into it. You tried to wake her…but forgot that she is either clingy or violent when asleep. That is why she has an alarm clock but we forgot to set it, and you tried to wake her and became her cling toy. She has a strong grip docent she?" Kubo agreed as they sat down to the table. Cedric came down just in time for the bacon to be served. "Sorry Kubo, you okay?" Kubo nodded. Mr. Toshimitsu swallowed his food "So Misheru tells us that you fell out of bed last night." Cedric nodded as she served herself. "Ya, So she gets the top bunk after we remove the frills and put up a roll bar." Mr. Toshimitsu nodded "Misheru also wants to paint the room bright blue you okay with that?" Cedric nodded as her mouth was full. Mrs. Toshimitsu had finished cooking and sat down at the table. "So its a little too pink?" Misheru nodded "Ya, but the lace at the window is nice! Its just a little too pink, sorry." She looked down at her food "No no no dear Kubo kept telling me that but I wouldn't listen now your father is going to head to the school and register the two of you and Leave the painting to us!" Mr. Toshimitsu agreed and stood up. "My meeting with your principal is in an hour so Im going now, We still have paint from when we did the boys rooms and the sun room those are all blue and in different shades look at those before going to the store." Misheru smiled "Bye Dad! See you soon!" Cedric and Misheru said in unison. Kubo waved his mouth was full. After breakfast Mrs. Toshimitsu cleared the table and cleaned up banishing the triplets to the garage to find the paint. Kubo knew where it was stored and the girls picked the sunroom blue and the three of them lugged the five gallons of paint up. "Dad thought we might need extra so he bought too many cans of paint." Cedric smiled as they lugged paint up "I think dad took the easy stuff he just has to sign papers." The three of them all laughed and started clearing out the room so that they could start painting. Misheru dug though one of the boxes in the closet and found her radio and Cedrics CD's and popped one in. Kubo jumped as loud american music started playing "Aaaa! What on earth?" Misheru smiled "Music makes everything better!" Mrs. Toshimitsu smiled as she heard music filtering down from upstairs "Kubo! Phone!" Kubo heard his mom call and ran down stairs. "What?" "Phone your friends want to talk to you." Kubo took the phone "hello this is Kubo" "yea hi this is Yuko me and Shouko were wondering if we could come and meet your sisters" Kubo response "only if you are willing to paint" "sure i guess we can paint we are on our way see you soon" wait what " "we are already here" The line went dead and the door bell rang. "Kubo can you get that? My hands are wet." Mrs. Toshimitsu said as she continued washing dishes. Kubo walked to the front door to find that Yuko and Shouko were already in the house taking their shoes off. "Hi Kubo, sorry we couldn't wait to meet your sisters!" Yuko said as she walked past him "But… But…" "Shhh Kubo we have been talking about your siblings since you told us that they were coming. You should have been expecting this." Shouko said as she walked up the stairs. Yuko was standing slack jawed in the door way. Shouko and Kubo soon joined her to find that Cedric had dipped her hands in paint and had covered a wall in blue handprints as well as Misheru's butt. Shouko assessed the situation and asked. "Did you know that your butt is blue?" Misheru's lower lip quivered as she put her paint roller down "Cedric did it and.. and…" Cedric popped up and the next thing they knew Kubo's chest had two blue hand prints on it and misheru started laughing. Cedric smiled "Ya I fell and hit her on my way down and had to balance it so thats how she got her handprints then we decided to get you Kubo!" Cedric giggled "So who are you two?" Misheru asked as Cedric grabbed a paint roller and started to paint over her handprints. "Well Im Yuko and this is Shouko! Were Kubo's friends and wanted to meet you." Misheru looked at Kubo "Kubo….shouldn't you introduce us? Or is it different in Japan?" Kubo stopped looking at his shirt and quickly introduced them "That is Misheru Cedric is the blue handed devil. These are my sisters." Cedric smiled "Devil am I? Bwahaha" she then dropped her roller re dipped her hands and put a blue handprint on each of Kubo's cheeks. Yuko started laughing "So where are our rollers we came to help." Shouko said walking into the room Kubo then glared at Cedric 'Stop no one wants blue hand prints Cedric and its not funny." and handed Yuko and Shouko each a roller. Shouko looked at the triplets and then dipped her hand in the paint "Its so pretty." she said and then put a blue handprint on her blue jeans. Cedric smiled "Looks great Shouko!" "Would you like a blue hand print too? You and Yuko are the only ones with out one." Shouko asked holding her blue hand up. "Sure!" Cedric smiled and held her arms out. Shouko then gave both Cedric and Yuko blue hand prints on the hip of their blue jeans. Kubo rolled his eyes. After they finished painting Shouko and Yuko were the first friends that Misheru and Cedric made in Japan. Kubo felt a little bad that he hadn't considered that his sisters had no friends and they were all laughing as they cleaned up the painting equipment. Shouko and Yuko promised to come back on Sunday to help set up furniture. As they sat in the middle of the floor eating the snacks that Mrs. Toshimitsu had brought Yuko asked "So what were your grades like in school?" Misheru tilted her head "What do you mean? Dad said that we had to take a test and that our grades wouldn't matter." "Well if you had come at the beginning of the year you would take a test but since you are registering in the middle of the year your grades will determine what class you will be in." Yuko said around her cookie. Cedric furrowed her brow "Well Misheru hasn't done so well not since our mom got sick two summers ago, her grades have fallen pretty far, and mine are better than Kubo's." She smiled as she looked at Kubo. "Well then you might not be in the same class" Shouko said. "What happened to your mom?" Yuko asked "Misheru and Cedric looked down at their paint covered hands "she died from cancer. she just waisted away." Misheru whispered. Yuko and Shouko felt shocked "Im so sorry, I shouldn't have asked." Cedric looked up "Well you wanted to know, Mom taught us that no question should remain unanswered, that you should always answer a question wether you want to or not." Shouko nodded 'Your mother sounds like a remarkable woman. Thank goodness you two take after her, Kubo seems to be the ugly ducking." "I am not! I just look more like my father than they do!" Kubo shouted. "No wonder you didn't like talking about your sisters they are obviously much cooler than you are." Misheru giggled as Kubo glared at Yuko "She's right your the only one who has to where glasses and has a cow lick." Cedric said "Ya and you should see him in the morning, his bed head is scarier than any monster!" Misheru giggled "yeah i saw him this morning and thought i was going to die he looked like a dead man" "no i did not" Kubo said in embarrassment . "So have you two picked up your uniforms from the uniform department at school yet?" Yuko asked. "Not yet we were planning to get them tomorrow afternoon, we thought that we would tour the school after getting them." Misheru said Cedric nodded "And I already found out that I can wear Kubo's pants till I get my own. I hate skirts." Kubo glared at Cedric as she said this "When did you go in my room?" Kubo asked "When you went to answer the phone. Your pants are fine no paint on them what so ever." "did you even ask if you could borrow them" "yeah i asked your mom" Shouko and Yuko interrupted them "why don't we all go pick up your uniforms after we are done moving the furniture" "ok thats fine with me what about you Kubo?" "sigh fine" Yuko clapped her hands together "Then its settled, Shouko and I will meet up with you here tomorrow morning set up your room and then get you settled at school!" Mrs. Toshimitsu called upstairs "Kubo are your friends staying for dinner?" Shouko stood "We have to go now its getting late. Thank you for having us." Cedric laughed 'Thanks for showing up and helping out so much Shouko, get home safe alright?' Yuko stood "we will. See you tomorrow!" The triplets walked them down stairs and waved them good bye "See you then!" misheru shouted. Dinner with the Toshimitsu family Mr. Toshimitsu was grinning he had refused to answer any of his children's questions till after dinner was over and the kids had finished five minutes ago. He however was having fun teasing them and eating his food super slow. "Dear Hurry up and finish I want to get the dishes finished and the kids are tired." His wife said from behind him. She had cleared all the food and places so his was the only one remaining. He sighed "all right. So Cedric you and Misheru are registered. I requested that the two of you get placed in the same class at least till next semester starts and you can take the test, that way you can lean on each other and adjust. Unfortunately Kubo's class couldn't take in two new students at this time, you'll have to test into his class next semester if you want too. So now to answer the question the three of you have been asking since i got home. You girls will be in Class F. they were the only class that is able to take in two new students. Im sorry, I really wanted to get you two into Kubo's class." Kubo frowned "I thought they were being placed based on grades." Mr. Toshimitsu cleared his throughout "Well If we did that Cedric would have skipped into senior year class A and Misheru would be in second year class F. So the principal and I compromised. Since second year class A couldn't take two and class F could we just put them both into class F hoping that Misheru can pull her grades up and test into a better class next semester." Misheru looked down "Im sorry my grades are not the best…" Mrs. Toshimitsu cleared her husbands place and looked at Misheru "Dear grades are not the most important thing. Grades can change with hard work. The most important thing is love and standing up for what you believe in." Misheru smiled. "Your right. Ill do my best this semester!" "Thats the spirit Misheru now can you grab your fathers glass for me?" "Sure no problem!" Cedric was yawning at the table. "Thanks for…yawn… keeping us together dad." "No problem, now why don't you and Kubo head off to bed Ill send Misheru up in a minute." Kubo stood "You and Misheru can share the bottom bunk, its a double like yours is in your room. You should both be able to sleep in it okay. Ill take the top bunk don't want you falling out of it…again" he smiled. Cedric punched him lightly on the shoulder "Ya wouldn't want to give you a bear hug in the morning either cowlick." at the Kinoshita house hold "where have you been sis" Hideyoshi asked "oh out unlike you i don't have remedial classes to go too" Yuko said as she sat down next to her brother with her cup of hot tea "did you and shouko go shopping again" Hideyoshi asked in-between sips of his own tea "no we went to kubo's house" "so you went to your boyfriends house" "he is not my boyfriend we went to meet his sisters and im going back tomorrow to show them around the school" "so what class are they going to be in?" He asked placing his cup on the table and turned to look at his sister. "I don't know, Ill find out tomorrow when I see them. Were going to get them uniforms and give them a tour of the school while we are there." Hideyoshi nodded "That sounds good no one will be there unless they have a project or extra remedial classes, so it'll be empty." Yuko smiled "Yup, you sound so smart sometimes, if only you would apply yourself." "I would but then I would be in the same class as you and no one would be able to tell us apart." "You wish you were in my class." The twins laughed "But really Hideyoshi you should try harder in school." "Yuko I like class F its entertaining." "Oh does class F have remedial classes tomorrow? I was thinking of showing them the different classrooms but i don't want to disturb your studies." Hideyoshi picked up his tea again and took a deep sip "No we don't have class tomorrow, however be careful with the door. Iron man slammed it too hard this week and it was just fixed." "Ill keep that in mind I don't want him to give me extra classes." Hideyoshi smiled at the thought of his sister getting additional classes "Would you like me to come with you tomorrow? And help show them around?" Yuko thought about it for a moment but thought "If I take him then all of class F will follow and I really don't want them near Cedric and Misheru…" No I think Shouko and I will be fine, It will be easier if its just us showing them around with their brother, I don't want them to get confused, besides you plan to hang out with your friends right?" Hideyoshi nodded "I forgot, were going to clean the pool again, Akihisa bled in it so Iron man has us cleaning it tomorrow." The twins smiled tomorrow was going to be a good day.
