Kikyo sighed. The sound of the wheels against the train tracks was starting to irritate her, although it was probably because she was so nervous. The resurrected priestess had no idea how her reincarnation was going to react to her plan when she told her. Would she even go along with the plan or would she try to talk Kikyo out of it. She didn't want to have to fight her and if she rejected the idea there would be a fight. She wasn't about to let things continue this way.
The click-clack of high heels drew her attention away from her thoughts. She turned her head to see a tall fox demon.
"Hello, I came to inform you that we've reached our destination. Please follow me."
Kikyo sighed again but got up from her seat and followed the woman into the hall where Kagome seemed to have been waiting in her military uniform and with a huge smile on her face. They both turned and followed the fox to the side doors of the train.
"Alright," said the fox; "You'll meet General Akitoki at your designated check point."
Kikyo got out of the train and Kagome followed suit.
"Good bye" with that the demon closed the door and in three seconds the train was gone. Kikyo looked around, they were in a very large farming area surrounded by mountains and just a mile ahead she could see the flag that told her that the building to the right of it was the check point.
She turned towards Kagome to see that she was looking up at the sky and just smiling.
"What are you so happy about?"
Kagome turned and looked at her.
"This is the first time I've ever been outsideā¦It's the first time I've ever seen the sun."
The resurrected priestess stared in disbelief at her reincarnation who suddenly stared running and doing cartwheels towards the checkpoint. Kagome then yelled at the top of her lungs "Best fifteenth birthday ever!"
