I'm not sure what exactly to in this situation, but I think you should just be you and ask him out. If he doesn't like you back then at least you told him and got it out there. I went through the same thing about 2 months ago. I liked this guy named Aaron, he was tall, cute, and funny. He wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed though. I liked him anyway. We had been friends for a while, and just friends, but everyone assumed we were 'together'. I had liked him for a while and decided to tell him. He didn't like me back but I realized it was just a school yard crush. Long story short we lost touch but was glad I told him. I'm not sure if this helped or not but I hope it did.
