Dragonets The Magic Prophecy (Bk 1)

Seven dragonets of all tribes come together as friends at Jade Mountain Academy when they all happen to cross into one corridor at the same time during their first day. Then, they're in the same winglet. Then, they are all in the same class, which seems like another coincidence. But it turns out all of their classes include them all. Why? Read to find out! (Only the first chapter.)

2. Prologue

Prologue

Glory woke up in the middle of the forest, and for a moment, didn't know why. Then, as her eyes got used to the dark of the night, she felt something moving beside her. She jumped back and snarled at it. It was… an egg?

No. No, it couldn't-could it be hers? Oh. Glory had remembered. It was a RainWing egg, after all, but… it had a tinge of black on the top. And.. was that… a bit of blue on the bottom? Yes, this was hers. But… Glory had never noticed the blue at the bottom. Could it be… Deathbringer's family had… SeaWing blood? (Note: This is not true to the books. It's only a fanfic.)

Glory was confused. She decided that later, she would ask him. Only he knew she had an egg. No one else knew. That's why I'm out here in the middle of the rainforest. Because I wasn't sure if I should tell them. But Glory had forgotten the egg was moving. The egg was hatching! Glory turned back. The egg was almost hatched. The little dragonet's muzzle was sticking out of the egg. The muzzle opened with an "Awrk!" Glory went over excitedly to shush the small dragonet.

The dragonet slowly hatched. When she did, Glory pulled her to her feet. Definitely had some black on her face… normal RainWing color changing…? Yep. The dragonet turned pink as Glory hugged her close. She was all blue at first, but as she turned pink, her claws and tail tip stayed blue. Wierd. I'll really have to ask Deathbringer

"I'll name you… Destiny. Yes. That will do well." She smiled at her new daughter. "I love you Destiny."

The dragonet squeaked, "Ma-ma."

Glory gasped, and then laughed. "You can already talk! You're going to be a smart little dragonet. Alright, Destiny, we'll tell the RainWings. What's the worst that could happen?
