Alex was a bastard, an orphan, son of a whore and a Scotsman, he lived in a small town in the Caribbean, and would one day grow to be successful, despite his poor origins. The founding father without a father got a lot farther by being being a lot smarter, by being a self-starter. And every day while citizens were being killed by diseases they couldn't afford medicine for, he struggled to keep his guard up, he was longing for something to be a part of, his brother willing to go to drastic measures to eat. And then the hurricane came, and town was left in the dust, he thought he would not have a future, thought he'd be killed, despite his drastic measures. He then wrote his way out of hell, put a pencil to the paper and wrote a refrain, a piece to describe the hurricane. People in the Caribbean found out about the piece, and thought the child needed to be recognized. They collected money for Alexander, to send him to the main land. They told him to get an education, to be recognized for his talents, to go to a place where that could happen, nothing would happen where he was.
Alexander Hamilton. His name was Alexander, Alexander Hamilton, and there was more than a million things he hadn't done. And to quote him; "Just you wait, just you wait!".
When he was ten his father abandoned him and his mother, forcing them to survive on there own. Left them debt ridden. Two years later he was laying in the bed with his mother, sick as can be. Nothing could help them, but maybe the younger could simultaneously get a curse and a blessing at the same time. Alex got better, but his mother? No such luck. He moved in with his cousin, a few short weeks later he found his cousin's pale body suspended by a rope in the ceiling.
Something told him he needed to fend for himself, so started to read, and read, quickly surpassing the expectations of a bastard orphan child. There would've been nothing left to do for someone less determined, he started working for his deceased mother's landlord. Trading sugarcane, rum, and things he couldn't even afford. He started scamming for things to read, and planning for the future. See him now as he stands, making the difference that the bastard orphan himself didn't think he could accomplish. He was serious, man. I quote him; "Just you wait!"
