/A.N:Wowow another chapter out! Sorry if this took a bit, I was debating whether or not to change how I would write the POV for the rest of the story and bam. Anyways, I'm sure you guys saw the change in the title, I thought it would fit the story wayy better! Now now, let me stop my rambling and let's get on with the story! PS:Be sure to review anything, favorite, or do what whatever(: and also be sure to check the ending notes in case I decided to change something in the plot while writing! Thank you!

Amelia's head felt like it was about to explode any minute. It was either the process of falling through the portal that gave her the big headache, or the blunt force of the ground hitting the side of her face as she was subdued by an agent..
Why? Well...
-A few minutes ago-
"How the hell did the three of you get in here?" Said a deep voice coming behind from the ring of agents. Then low and behold came a person we'd never think to see in real life besides in the Avengers movie series and comics, Mr. Nick Fury.
Seeing him walk in, Amelia blinked multiple times, was she hallucinating? Oh god she hoped not. That would have been like the whole plot of Inception if she was. She tilted her head a bit to look at Rachel and Melissa. Rachel looked as pale as a ghost, looking a bit green(jokes anyone?) and Melissa was rubbing her eyes multiple times... okay TOO many times for it to be normal. She then turned back to Fury, who was looking at the three of them with a stern look, obviously wanting an answer. "We uh..." Rachel tilted her head to look to meet with Amelia's eyes. Both thinking the same question 'Should we?' It took a minute for the both to decide and look back to Fury "We uh need to talk... seriously." said Rachel. 'That was the most suckiest thing I have ever heard jesus christ.' Amelia thought trying to not crack up as she stared at every agent that surrounded them as the very small conversation was going.
"Well, we don't know if you're spies or agents from another organization, so before we do that, I'm gonna have to take some precautions. Agents"
Three agents from the circle walked towards them. Of course Amelia reacted, like hell she was going to be detained again like in the past, not again.
"Hey, watch it." Amelia said as she took a step back, the agent paid no attention to her and continued to take out cuffs. As he was about to grab her wrist, she caught his. That was a mistake, as soon as she'd done that, all guns were up again. But Amelia didn't care at the moment, she didn't want this agent to grab her like that at all, like damn fucking ask.
The agent looked up and met her eyes, in which from her light brown eyes, turned a bit dark."Like I said, watch it," Amelia said with a stern face, she was about to continue talking as she was, but she didn't end up hearing the footsteps coming up from behind her "You have to-H-HEY WHAT THE HELL?!"
Suddenly, two large arms grabbed her arms and forced them behind her back "Ow! Does it look like I'm made of rubber motherfuc-" It was a second later where the agent that snuck up behind her forced her onto the ground, pushing her head down. She wheezed and clenched her teeth as her head and chest made contact with the ground with force.
Now here she was, her two best friends' eyes wide open and a big smug look on the agent's face that slammed her onto the ground. Amelia took heavy breaths and thrashed under his grip "LET ME GO! I COULD HAVE JUST FUCKING WALKED LIKE A DAMN NORMAL PERSON!"
Fury nodded "Now, let's go have that talk." He turned and started to stride towards the building.
Amelia was pulled back onto her feet, stumbling a bit as she was pushed forward next to Rachel and Melissa. She looked back to the Agent with a look "Wipe that fucking look off your face before I kick it in." She mumbled as she looked back to her two other friends. "So, what hell are we gonna do next?" Melissa asked blowing her blond hair out of her face due to strong wind, she turned her head to Rachel, grey eyes filling with much worry as we neared the entrance of the facility.
"The only thing we can really do right now is needing S.H.I.E.L.D's help in getting us back home," Rachel said as she exhaled, closing her eyes. "I know it's a shitty plan, and that this shit is like a whole fangirl's dream, fanfic or whatever but we need to work with something right now." Amelia's face crunched up , the idea of being in a whole new other world with aliens, assassins..Well things that can kill them very very easily irked her, even though it was her fault they was there.
Oh god the guilt just hit her and she hated it. "Guys I'm so fucking sorry, I didn't know this was going to happen, I-I should have seen the risks and-" Rachel let out a chuckle, finding her friend's apology a bit funny in the situation they were currently in "Oh Amelia be quiet, I'm not use to you apologizing over an experiment like this, go back to your joking self right now, we have much better things to do."
Melissa then added in a "She's right." Before Amelia nodded a bit slowly "S-sure.." Amelia looked around at her surroundings, she hadn't noticed they already entered the building, who the hell doesn't notice that? They were currently walking down a grey walled hallway(wow doesn't that sound familiar?) towards double doors, passing multiple gyms and armories.
"I honestly don't remember the last time I went to the gym." Amelia said to herself. Okay why the hell was she thinking about that. She felt a twinge of insecurity run through her head watching people train with nice fit bodies.
'Okay Amelia shut the fuck up before you have a complete meltdown.' Fury opened the double doors that led them into a meeting room with wooden walls and comforting office chairs.
'Ookay what the fuck.' Amelia thought. This was crazy, really crazy, no wait INSANE! Why the hell were they in a nice office when they, unknown people, literally fell into S.H.I.E.L.D ground. Shouldn't they be considered trespassers? Or something at least like that. "Sit."
Amelia and the other two sat next to each other on the right side of the wooden oval table. On the other side, Fury took off his black leather coat and laid it on the chair in front of him.
"I believe you guys have a lot of questions and things to explain."
The three stayed quiet, until Amelia talked first "Um hi sir, why are we here? I'm not saying we don't deserve to be here because you know we kinda landed in your secret government base thing but why in this office?" She raised her eyebrow at him. Rachel elbowed her side, making Amelia wince. Fury looked down to the table that had those cool keyboards in the table and pressed something that turned on a projector, you know, like the ones Tony Stark has in his lab.
The projecter showed security footage of the sky. In the footage, it was just you know, sky, until a small oval hole appeared, and from it came out three blurry figures.
While the figures were falling, one seemed to vanish out of thin air, leaving the two plunge towards the ground. While the two neared, one caught on fire, well completely on fire and the other seemed to have been in a soft purplish sphere. They landed a bit away from each other but soon grouped up. That was when Fury decided to pause the footage. Turning back to us, he crossed his arms, his face still holding onto that stern expression.
"Now, what the hell is this?"
"W-we can explain." Said Melissa, responding hesitantly, feeling a bit threatened. Probably because of the eyepatch.
Rachel nodded "It included a experiment."
Amelia decided to add in, putting on finger up "And a vortex." She leaned back into the chair before continuing "But can we kind of pause for a moment, we haven't introduced ourselves yet. Hi I'm Amelia Reyes, and that's Rachel Johnson and next to her is Melissa Angelo." she said while pointing the two out.
"Well I would introduce myself, but that would-"
"Be a danger for yourself and the organization. Don't worry, we know who you are. And that is in which why it leads us to our situation." Rachel said, turning her head to Amelia with a face of a parent who got called to a teacher conference "Care to explain Amelia?"
"Hey Rachel your hair is still a bit frazzled from the fall, how about I-"
"Amelia."
"Okay okay, So yeah. We're not from this world. Well dimension, and in ours, you all don't exist. Don't ask why, it has to do with comic books and movies, but you already know where this leads.. But anyways, we know all about S.H.I.E.L.D and everything else. Quick question, what year is this?"
Fury responded with a "2009"
"So-WHAT WHAT?!"
She was a bit shocked '2009!? WHY ARE WE SO FAR BACK!? WAIT WAIT DID WE ARRIVE BEFORE IRON MAN 2?!'
Amelia turned to Melissa, eyes wide open "Wasn't it 2013 back in our world?" Melissa nodded "Almost to 2014."
"Huh."
So quick calculation. If it's 2009 in this world and 2014 in ours, and I'm twenty-one back in our world. I would have been 16 in this world.
"Hey Fury, this world's year fucked up our ages."
Fury raised an eyebrow. But then he seemed to realize something rather quickly "How do you know-?"
"Like I said, different dimension."
Amelia nodded "Anyways, let's continue on how this happened. So, I was working on an experiment that I was conducting on my spare time and something went bad."
Fury listened attentively, squinting, giving Amelia the "Is that it?" eyebrow.
Amelia rubbed the back of her neck, a bit embarrassed but continued "I had to use a certain element to actually power my experiment so I thought of a strong radioactive element that usually powers nuclear reactors aka Curium. And while I was carefully putting it into my experiment, something went off in the room next to ours, which scared me and made me drop the um Curium. And I'm guessing it reacted with the electricity and the experiment which caused a vortex to here."
She mumbled at the last part, but then looked up to Fury "I'm deeply sorry for infiltrating basically S.H.I.E.L.D, but this world is in no way like ours. Different studies and everything."
Fury rubbed the bridge of his nose "So let me recap, you guys are from a different dimension in which S.H.I.E.L.D doesn't exist, only in movies and comic books. And you guys ended up here due to an experiment gone wrong."
"And we need your help to get back."
"Oh really? How are we suppose to do that? Do you really think I'm dumb enough to just suddenly give you three strangers want you need? You may be damn planning to attack at this moment. What makes me want to help you get back?"
"We can help you improve a lot of stuff, Trust me." Rachel said.
"And plus, you don't want three people who can cause chaos running around in public do you?" Amelia asked smirking.
Fury sighed heavily. He knew he was cornered at that, the only thing he was thinking about was how many papers the board was going to make him sign.
"What was that element you needed called again."
"Curium."
"Give me a minute." Fury began to type something, multiple files began to pop up on the projector but Amelia's eyes caught two words, "No More."
"Sorry to tell this to the three of you, but records say there is no more Curium that currently exists, the last batch was used back in 1944."
Amelia's eyes widened, there was NO way there couldn't be more, especially in this world. The MARVEL world.
"Wha-"
"C-can we have a moment?" Melissa asked before anyone could speak, as stiff as a statue.
Fury nodded before exiting the room. After he left, everyone was frozen in the room, a pregnant silence proceeding.
"So, I guess we have to cross off trying to go back on our list." Melissa said, cutting through the silence. Amelia put her head in her hands "What are we gonna do..."
Rachel leaned back in her chair, biting one of her nails, looking a bit shocked as well as confused "How the hell is it possible to have no more Curium here?! Seriously they have gods, cool weapons, and monsters. " she exclaimed.
Melissa shook her head "Guys besides the bad news, can we just note that that was THE Nick Fury! The dude Samuel L. Jackson plays! Funny thing he looks exactly like him! We're in THE MARVEL UNIVERSE!"
"You know she's right Rachel, we're currently here in the Marvel universe, and if we all forgot, we have POWERS." Amelia added in, looking a bit shaky as she completely forgot they were in Marvel, probably due to shock of the news and that slam from earlier.
The reminder of the pain made Amelia wince and touch the side of her head.
"And plus S.H.I.E.L.D can probably help us!"
Rachel sighed "Right, right, problem is, we don't exist in this world! We're not even in our proper universe! What makes you think they want to help us? We're practically strangers!" She said as her hands went up to add an dramatic effect. It was a bit funny to the other two seeing their ginger-haired friend act a bit dramatic, especially with handcuffs on. "We can't even go back home now!!"
"Rachel, Rachel, Rachel, we're strangers with powers." Amelia pointed out, a small grin forming at her red-tinted lips.
Melissa began to tap her fingers on the table "And what's that suppose to do with anything?"
"Don't you see Melissa? The three of us are basically considered a "Threat" with these powers. I don't think S.H.I.E.L.D wants people like us running around in public, causing a huge scene." She ran a hand through her brown hair "This is gonna be a shitshow but might as well make it hella good."
She turned her head to the camera in the corner of the room "Shouldn't we?"
"Anything Natasha?" Fury said as he walked into the security office nearby.
"Nothing, none of the three were lying about what they were telling you, and if they were, they would have been very good at it."
Natasha had found it a bit of a surprise when she was told Fury was in an interrogation when she arrived, well, if she called it one. She had just arrived from a mission from France and flew in around last night. She was going to update Fury on how it went and walked to the security office, knowing what times Fury liked to check up on how the security program was holding up until she met up with Clint, who was in place of Fury, sitting in a leather chair, spinning around.
"Climbed through the vents again?" She asked as she walked in, "You already know me so well Nat~" said Clint who was currently twirling in a chair, now in hand, watching a single camera. "
Who is he interrogating?" She asked behind Clint's shoulder looking at the camera that displayed 3 young women sitting with handcuffs. Natasha analyzed them all from the emotions they had on their faces to the small movements they made.
The one with short-brown hair with a navy blue long sleeve sitting at the very right looked like she was deep in her thoughts, she did seem like a fighting type due to the proportion of her arms but she slouches, her eyes with evidence dark bags have resided, she looked a bit nervous. Social anxiety? Natasha continued, the ginger next to her with a green turtle neck was a bit different, she definitely looked like the fighting type, but at the same time she looked like she'd rather stay back as support.. Looked like she was able to keep a stern expression. The dirty-blonde on the left with a purple sweater on was completely different, she reminded Natasha of someone timid, someone who'd rather work helping people then hurting them. She had a bit of a lanky posture but looked a bit smaller then the other two. She seemed like a strong nurturing type. All three looked like they were dressed for the middle of fall or winter.
She looked down to Clint who was playing around with the wire on his bow "Thoughts?"
Clint turned his seat to face her "Oh well I don't knowww, they fell from the sky, literally." He said with a tint of sarcasm Natasha raised her eyebrows "How the-"
Clint leaned over and pressed a button, rewinding and showing Natasha the footage of the fall. After, she watched it, curiosity hit her "So different dimension kind of stuff?"
"Well that's what they're exactly saying right now."
"Let me see." She presses another button that made the screen go back to the security feed of the office.
Natasha watched and looked into their eyes from the screen, and from her past of seeing many liars, mob bosses , and criminals. These three were good at lying. She saw Fury walk out the door, leaving the three young women alone to discuss whatever they had to talk about.
There were multiple footsteps nearing the room from the hall until Fury stepped in "Anything Natasha?"
"Nothing, none of the three were lying about what they were telling you, and if they were, they would have been very good at it." She said, putting the file she was holding down.
"So, they know everything about us?" She asked, Fury nodded "In their world, we only exist in movies and comics. I'm not a bit surprised."
"That sounds like something out of a teen movie. You read fanfics Fury?" Clint asked, not wanting to laugh in front of the directors face.
"No, a sibling of mine did."
"You have a sibling?!"
Ignoring Clint, Natasha shook her head. Clint laughed it off " What are you gonna do with them?" He asked as he twirled the chair around so he could face the large screen in front of them
Fury crossed his arms.
"We can't let them roam free in public with abilities like that, not risking the lives of innocent people is the top agenda," He said. " We could use this to our advantage, have them help us. Now we know that people like them exist." Fury looked down to the two assassins "We can introduce them to the program, let them work with S.H.I.E.L.D. I know they wouldn't let that down since it's a new world for them. With them, we may have an upper hand against Hydra."
"Are you sure Fury? This can backfire so quick-"
"I'm sure. In two days, the two of you will start to train them to be S.H.I.E.L.D agents, get them ready to go on missions in which they'll accompany you in, understood?"
Both assassins looked at each other, a bit unsure of the task, but it took a moment for the both of them to say "Understood."
Fury rubbed the bridge of his nose "It's gonna be a bit more busier around here.
"Hey Fury?" Clint asked
"What?"
"You should go back in." Natasha finished, eyes on the screen.
"Natasha's right, I think one of girls is melting off her handcuffs."
"Jesus-"
"AMELIA STOP IT!"
"WELL I WOULD IF I COULD!"
"ALRIGHT ALRIGHT CALM DOW-AMELIA THE IRON'S ON YOUR PANTS AND THE FLOOR NOW!"
"OH MY FUCKING GOD."
This was Amelia's bad luck, totally, she knew it. She was literally just sitting, mentally stressed the hell out, and suddenly her iron handcuffs, started to melt. Who noticed? Melissa did. While the handcuffs were almost melting off, Melissa spotted a water bottle a bit away from them, she bolted up from her seat and ran over to get it. Opening the bottle still handcuffed, she ran back over and poured water over Amelia's hands, that were starting to turn red.
"FUCK! STOP, STOP, MELISSA THAT HURTS!" Amelia yelled, pulling her hands away and towards her chest.
"What! Your hands were burning!"
Rachel stomped on the cooled metal on the floor in front of Amelia that began to make the carpet catch on fire.
"What the hell is happening in here?" Said a strict voice walking into the room. All heads turned towards Fury, who looked very annoyed. The room went silent.
Amelia looked down to her hands. Her wrists had traces of iron etched into her skin, probably from it being cooled down from the melting, and the heat disappearing from her skin, leaving her normal pale-ish peach skin to yet again feel cold.
"Um..."
Amelia put her wrists up to Fury "Powers?"
"Ow."
"I'm so sorry dear."
"It's okay."
At the moment, everyone was discussing what Fury had just told them.
'Should we work with them? It seemed pretty tempting, but what about all the shit that happened throughout the movies? What the hell are we gonna do about that? Just play along? No, that's a horrible idea, when the characters in fanfics do that it goes to shit so no.' She thought. She was sitting back down in her chair as a doctor pulled out the iron that was stuck to her skin.
"So let me recap, you want us, strangers, to work for you?" Melissa asked, face perplexed.
Fury nodded "I'm sure you three have nowhere to go. Since it's a "new world"."
"Damn he got us there." Amelia said, as the doctor wrapped her wrists in bandages. After she left, Amelia rubbed them softly.
"And plus, you guys can help S.H.I.E.L.D in ways we can't."
Fury didn't continue, knowing that we got the idea of what he was trying to say.
"Why do you trust us?" Amelia asked, because if she were Fury, she wouldn't have batted an eye to the three.
"Because no one just falls out of the sky through a purple portal."
Rachel turned her chair to face Melissa and Amelia, who were sitting next to each other "How about it guys?"
Melissa, who was playing around with the bottom hem of her striped sweater shook her head "Well, we have nothing else to lose so I'm in."
They turned to Amelia, who seemed to be thinking about something, hand under her chin.
"Amelia?"
Amelia looked up and moved the hair in front of her face "I'm in."
"It's-"
"But,"
Amelia sat up straight "I'm gonna have to have a catch. Catch is, we join you. But in return you have to let us study as much as we need, get our degrees and whatever, let us have our own place, and we get our own payroll. Agreed?"
Fury went silent for a moment then sighed "Agreed."
He cleared his voice "So it's settled, your gonna work for S.H.I.E.L.D, but not without a screening and a whole lot of papers to fill and sign."
Amelia smiled as Melissa and Rachel high fived each other.
"Now, let's get to work, but before that, all of you gotta go change clothes because I'm not having the smell of churning clothes, smoke and fresh dirt in my facility. I'll call I guess who you already know Natasha to help you guys."
The three nodded. That's when Amelia knew. This was gonna be one hell of an adventure.
A.N:OHMYGOD I FINALLY FINISHED CHAPTER 2! BRAVO BRAVO! Funny thing, I would have posted earlier if I kept my first draft of the chapter, and halfway I decided to rewrite it! Here's a lil qa of some questions.
Am I going to add the screening they'll have onto this story?: Yes!
Why did Fury accept the 3 so easily?: Well, if we looked into Fury's Point of view, he wouldn't want to risk S.H.I.E.L.D and other dangerous things being revealed to the public (yet(: ) especially with the three having very particular powers. So he decided if they were loose canons, they should be on S.H.I.E.L.D's side then let Hydra know about them and get to them first. What are you going to do with each character's backstory?: I'll be making each of their backstories into their proper separate story so that wouldn't be very confusing and jumble up with the story line, but I will be incorporating their backstories in throughout the story, and trust me, their backstories WILL affect them in different ways, affecting multiple situations, missions and etc. So look out!
Honestly, i'm sorry if this came out very late, school work got a bit in the way. Anyways, a lil hint to the next chapter is a good time skip, I know you guys wanna get to the good stuff so that's a late easter gift(: Like always, be free to review the story so I can keep improving my writing as I go along! Favorite, Follow, do what you need! Mystican out-
PS: If you guys didn't notice, I changed the POV in this chapter to experiment which writing style I'll be comfortable writing with in the story. What are your thoughts on this? Is it better like this?
