AN: Hello, and welcome to the second chapter of RWBY: AU Theater. As promised, I am going to have Ozpin be the main-character of this AU. Also, I noticed that in some reviews, people had misunderstood what I was saying.
I said that Jaune ISN'T the main-character for every AU I can come up with. It's just, some of the AU's I create might have to be based around Jaune, due to how he's practically the only one with not that much of a background to dwell into. So I repeat again, to make sure that EVERYONE gets it: Jaune Arc won't be the main-character for every AU I create, this story was made so that MULTIPLE CHARACTERS can have their own AU's.
Also, I was told that I should try and lengthen the characters' reactions, so I would try and do so. But, this is also the first reaction story that I am doing, so I apologize if some of the reactions are a bit short.
With that out of the way, I have said that Ozpin will be the main-character for this chapter. Now, for this one, I decided to have Ozpin try and recruit Oscar to become a Kingsman.
That's right.
I said Kingsman.
And, in all honesty, I'm surprised that not many people have created an AU where Ozpin is a Kingsman. I mean, there was that one time I read a Kingsman AU about Jaune, but that's not the point right now! Since Ozpin is all calm, collective, professional, and wears a suit all the time, it seemed like a good idea for him to become a secret agent. Also, I don't know why, and I'm not sure if anyone else feels like this, but I feel like Ozpin is like a father-figure to Oscar.
Also, expect Glynda being a bit OOC in this chapter.
And before I forget - Kingsman: The Secret Service belongs to Marv Films, Cloudy Productions, and was directed by Matthew Vaughn.
Time to get this chapter started.
HERE WE GO!
Abandoned Theater -
Team RWBY and Team JNPR both waited for the hooded-figure to return, for he said that he had to do 'something' first. While they waited, they all discussed the first AU that they had seen: an alternate Jaune Arc that had come from a long line of assassins, and apparently had no issues with death.
Weiss still stood by her claim of not respecting someone who would kill people without a second thought, as did Yang, who honestly wondered if her Jaune was keeping a dark secret like that from them. And if so, she would probably beat the crap out of him if because of that secret would result in something bad happening to Ruby, or any of her friends. Pyrrha, Nora, Ren, Blake, and Ruby didn't considered the assassin-Jaune to be a bad-guy, due to how he still showed concern when he didn't want to shoot the hostage.
That was when the hooded-figure had appeared in front of them, and told them,
"Alright guys, I have just finished setting up the next AU for you guys."
"Cool! So who's it this time?"
"Hold on, let me just do something first..."
The hooded-figure pulled out his laptop, and pressed a couple of keys on it, and that was when the room was filled with bright light again. As the light had died out, there were three new individuals in front of Teams RWBY and JNPR. The first person before them was a middle-aged man, with gray hair, brown eyes that were behind glasses, and was dressed in a black and green suit. The second person was a woman, who had platinum-blonde hair in tight-bun, with emerald eyes that were also behind glasses, dressed in a black skirt, white button-up shirt and a tattered cape. The final person, was a young boy with black hair and eyes that seemed to be hazel, green, orange, and yellow, who could've been younger than Ruby herself, dressed in brown cargo-pants, boots, and a white shirt with suspenders.
"Where are we...?"
"Students? Why are - "
"Uh...I'm pretty sure that I'm supposed to be on a farm, not in some theater..."
Both Teams had instantly realized who the first two individuals were.
"Professor Ozpin!"
"Professor Goodwitch!"
"And...some random...farmer...boy?"
The three people had looked around them, totally confused as to why they were now in a theater. When Glynda had looked at the hooded-figure, she immediately pulled the farmer boy behind her, and went for her riding-crop, only to realize that her weapon was missing. Ozpin said to his students,
"What is going on here exactly?"
"It's like this: the hooded-guy over there summoned all of us here to, apparently, watch Alternate Universes. I know that it sounds crazy, but turns out that is an actual thing. I mean, before you, Goodwitch, and the...farmer boy - ?"
"It's Oscar, miss...?"
"Ruby. And as I was saying - before you three got here, we watched a version of Jaune, who was an assassin, go into a club, and kill a bunch of people who were criminals."
"Ms. Rose, you can't be serious?"
Goodwitch looked at her young skeptically, Oscar looked at her and the hooded-figure confused, and Ozpin had simple raised an eyebrow after hearing all that. He turned towards the hooded-figure, who actually handed him his mug. After taking a sip, Ozpin asked him,
"I take it the reason Glynda, Oscar, and myself are here...is because there is an Alternate Universe that is most likely based around us?"
"Ozpin, you can't be serious - "
"Now Glynda, I am pretty sure that this gentleman in front of has no ill-intention towards us. Now as I was saying - "
"Yes. This AU is based around you, specifically, Ozpin. And it might also include Oscar here as well."
The two that were mentioned looked at one another, before taking their seats, with Glynda sighing in exasperation before sitting down as well. Oddly enough, Oscar was sitting between both Ozpin and Goodwitch, with the former on his left, and the latter on his right. That was when snacks appeared before them as well, and the screen started to play the Alternate Universe of Ozpin.
Mistralian Pub -
Inside the pub, sharing a booth, was none other than Oscar Pine and Ozpin. The former was quite nervous, for he was working on his farm when the latter had appeared in front of him, saying that he had business with him. At first, Oscar wanted to decline the offer, but Ozpin had mentioned that he personally knew is parents, something that Oscar himself didn't have the privilege of having. The two also had drinks in front of them: Guinness for Ozpin and -
Wait a minute...
...How in the Hell did Ozpin manage to get Oscar inside a pub in the first place?
Isn't he like 13 years old or something?
That was when everyone did indeed notice that Oscar was young to be inside such an establishment. Which was why both Glynda and the students had looked at the Headmaster with such disgust, disappointment, and anger, that caused said-Headmaster to be sweating profusely. That was when Glynda turned her gaze towards Oscar, who snapped at attention as soon as he realized that he was now the topic of interest among these people he didn't knew.
Then she spoke, for some reason, in a stern-motherly tone,
"How old are you, young man?"
"I'm...thirteen right now, but I'll be fourteen in a couple of months. Why?"
However, Glynda's attention was now towards Ozpin, who tried his best to avoid her death-stare. He knew, that as an immortal being, he would tend to make mistakes as times passes by, but not once did he think he would end up with the possibility of intoxicating a minor.
"Would you care to explain as to why you thought bringing a minor to a pub was a good idea, Ozpin?"
"Well...technically, it was the other-me. And second of all...I am positive that I would make sure that - Oscar, was it? - would never consume any alcohol - "
"Make sure of it. It was bad enough Qrow - "
"Excuse me. I'm touched that you care about my well-being and all, but...is there any reason why as to you holding onto me?"
True to his word, Glynda actually had her arms around Oscar, bringing the young boy closer to her. She didn't knew why, but deep down inside her, some sort of...maternal instinct had sort of kicked in. Yang noticed how protective Glynda was acting, so she decided to joke,
"Wow, Professor, I didn't knew you were an absolute Mama-Bear - "
That was when Glynda looked at Yang, who shrunk a bit when she looked at the death-stare. Then she told the buxom blonde,
"Ms. Xiao-Long, I prefer you didn't finish that sentence, and continue with the vision."
"Y-yes, ma'am..."
"So...you knew my parents?"
"Indeed I did, Mr. Pine, or should I call you Oscar instead?"
"Oscar's fine for now..."
That was when the voice inside Oscar died out, the boy now looking at the water (thankfully Ozpin knew NOT to give alcohol to minors) rather awkwardly. Knowing that things were indeed awkward for the boy, Ozpin decided to change the topic for the time being. Ozpin realized that when he met Oscar, the boy was the only one that was working out in the field, but he swore that he heard someone - Oscar's aunt - from inside the house.
He asked him,
"Despite living with your aunt, how is it that you're the only one working around the farm?"
"That's the thing...my aunt is paralyzed from the waist down. Spent most of her life in a wheelchair..."
"Apologies, Oscar..."
Yep, he just had to take an already-awkward conversation, and turn it into an even MORE awkward conversation.
Both the Headmaster and the farm-boy had averted each other's gaze, obviously awkward from how their alternate-selves were reacting with another. However, after hearing what his alternate-self said, Oscar had gotten wide-eyed and shouted,
"My aunt's crippled?!"
"I take it that she isn't crippled in our universe then?"
"No! Not in the slightest! And my aunt DOES help me around my family's farm!"
That was when Nora asked the young boy,
"What about your parents?"
The wince and sad look in Oscar's eyes was enough to tell the ginger girl all she needed. That was when both she and Ren went up to him, and gave him a hug. Oscar was an orphan, just like them, so out of everyone in the room, they were the one's who understood what he went through. Oscar was surprised by the sudden hug, but he didn't try to get out of it, instead it seemed like he hugged them in return.
"I'm sorry..."
"It's alright...I had time to get over their deaths."
After the three were done hugging, Ozpin looked towards the hooded-figure, who only nodded and resumed the vision.
"So...my parents...were they Hunstmen?"
"Well...yes and no."
The answer that the white-haired man gave Oscar had confused him. His parents were Huntsmen, but at the same time...they weren't? How was that possible? Somehow sensing his confusion, Ozpin had tried to explain what he meant.
"While your parents were indeed Huntsmen, and some of most finest I had ever seen, they were something else as well. They were - "
"Look who it is, boys. It's the little shit who 'forgot' to pay us!"
Ozpin looked at the front door, and saw a small group of men, walking towards them. Oscar also noticed them, which caused his eyes to widen and to swear under his breath.
It was the loan-sharks that had helped him pay for his aunt's medical bills.
He was about to leave, but it was already too late, for the group was now in front of the two. The one that had to be the leader, walked up to Oscar, and wrapped his arm around the boy's shoulder, and spoke to him in a so-called 'friendly' tone, and said,
"Hey, kid, came by your shit-farm for our money, only to see that you weren't there."
"W-well...as you can see, I am here. And...I can't exactly pay this month."
"Like Hell you can't!"
That was when the man grabbed Oscar by his shirt, making the boy look at him in the eye.
Nearly everyone in the theater had glared at the men with such hatred, that it could've attracted Grimm towards them. Yang was about to shout something at them, but surprisingly enough, Glynda had beaten her to the punch. The Deputy-Headmistress rose from her seat, and screamed,
"LAY A FINGER ON HIM, AND YOU'RE FUCKING DEAD!"
Glynda's sudden outburst had shocked not only her students, but also Oscar and Ozpin himself. That was when she realized that she had acted unprofessional in front of her students. Her cheeks had darkened significantly, and she sat back in her seat, avoiding all the disturbed looks she was receiving from her students.
She simply said,
"I...apologize if I startled you."
Ever since he had met Glynda, Ozpin had only seen her become that angry once, and ONLY once. And the day that she got that mad, was the day her relationship with Ironwood was over. In all honesty, Ozpin still shuddered from all the carnage Glynda had accomplished that day. He still couldn't believe that the girl - who was like the Yang of her generation - that he knew back from when they were still teenagers, had somehow turned out to become the Deputy-Headmistress of Beacon.
That was when he said,
"C-Could we continue with the vision. Please?"
That was when he reared one of his fists back, and threatened the boy,
"Listen, you little-shit, if you don't give us our money, then I'm gonna - "
"Excuse me, gentlemen."
Ozpin finally made his appearance become noticed among the group of men, who only looked at him with disinterest. The leader had diverted his gaze from Oscar, and looked towards Ozpin, sneering at him,
"What the fuck do you want?"
"Well, I was having a conversation with Oscar here, and that when you gentlemen burst in here, and threaten him. And, not only that, but I had quite a rough week, so if you please, could you just leave him alone so we could get back to our conversation? That...and I want to finish this lovely pint of Guinness."
After hearing his entire statement, Oscar looked at Ozpin as if he was crazy. He wasn't the only one, though, for the group of men had started to laugh at the Headmaster, who simply ignored the fact that he was getting insulted.
"Just leave, before you get hurt, old man."
"He's not joking, you should really, REALLY, leave."
"Very well."
That was when he stood from his seat, grabbed an umbrella that was next to him, and made his way to the door. But, before he even reached the handle, he heard the leader shout,
"If you're looking for a little boy to have sex with, there's a whole fucking orphanage down the street from here!"
Remember when everyone had gotten angry for the man to threaten Oscar?
Well when they heard Ozpin being laughed at, insulted, and accused of being a pedophile, it made everyone release an intense aura of unbridled rage. Hell, even Oscar was mad at this man, who he didn't even think had actually existed.
Here are some statements made from the group,
"I'M GONNA BREAK THEIR LEGS!"
"Damn ingrates..."
"If I was there, then I would pretty much be charged with murder."
"...I would help you in murdering them."
After hearing the extremely offensive and inappropriate statement, Ozpin had simply took a deep breath, and exhaled. He then noticed that the doors in front of them had three locks: two latches on each door, and a lock that would keep both doors tightly secured. He turned his head back to the group, who thought that he had already left, were expecting him to leave those doors right now.
After coming up with a decision, Ozpin reached for one of the latches.
"Manners - "
As he fastened the latch, he began stating something.
" - Maketh - "
Another latch was fastened, and then he made sure that the lock kept the two doors from opening.
" - Man."
He turned around and faced the group, and asked them,
"Do you know what that means? Then let me teach you a lesson."
Without hesitation, he used his umbrella, grabbed a glass that was next to him with the crook handle, and threw the drink at the leader. The glass shattered upon impact, and that was when the man's eyes rolled back into his head, and he collapsed. His group had looked at their leader in shock, so did Oscar, but then that shock was turned towards Ozpin. Speaking of Ozpin, the man looked back at the group, and asked them,
"Are we gonna stand here all day, or are we going to fight?"
As they saw their Headmaster knock out the leader with minimal effort, the students had cheered very loudly. In fact, Ruby, Yang, Nora, and Jaune had stood up from their seats, and shouted in excitement as soon as Ozpin had said his one-liner. The others looked at Ozpin with respect and said,
"It's obvious that the Headmaster will DESTROY these guys."
"Yep."
"No question."
Ozpin then looked towards Oscar, who simply nodded his head towards him, a sign of gratitude for not leaving his alternate-self. He also nodded his head, a gesture of saying that it was something he would do in their universe as well. That was when he noticed something else about Oscar -
His soul.
It was...similar to his own.
Before Ozpin could dwell on the thought even more, he heard one of his students shout,
"The fight's about to start!"
That was when the group charged after Ozpin, who simply stood there. One of the goons threw a right hook at him, only for that punch to be deflected by Ozpin's umbrella, and instead punched one of his friends so hard, that one of his teeth came out. He then kicked the man in front of him, using his umbrella to block another attack from one of the others.
As he smacked the man across the face with his umbrella, Ozpin turned to his right, and jabbed the handle into another goon's stomach. He then felt someone grab onto shoulder, only for Ozpin to grab the man's arm, and punched him repeatedly in the face. He turned back to the goon on his right, and bitch-slapped him with the umbrella, making him hit the bar. Still holding onto the man that was behind him, he used him as a shield for when a guy tried to stab him with a knife.
When the knife entered the man's shoulder, both he and his friend looked at the knife, then at each other. Ozpin then swept the man off his feet, and knocked him out with an upward strike of his umbrella.
He heard the sound of a knife being unsheathed and ducked underneath the man who tried to stab him from behind. He knocked the knife out of the man's hand, and jabbed him in the chest with his umbrella, which he was using as if it was a rapier. He wasn't done yet, for he moved the umbrella underneath the man's armpit, grabbed it by the shaft, and pulled it towards him, making the man's arm bend at an odd angle.
He heard a man scream next to him, just in time to see the guy whose tooth came out rush at him with a knife of his own. He simply shoved the man back into the bar, only for that man to grab a bottle, planning to smash it against his head.
But, that was when Oscar saw something that really confused him.
Ozpin's umbrella shot a cable at the man, which wrapped around his wrist, and magnetically attached itself to the counter. Not only that, but the cable started to electrocute the man, fully incapacitating him.
Who the Hell is this guy?
As soon as she saw the umbrella do that, Ruby let out a squeal of delight, and immediately was by Ozpin's side, asking him questions. Everyone else was surprised to see his umbrella do that, but then they all realized something: WHY did Ozpin have an umbrella?
They had always seen the Headmaster with a cane, something that they always considered to be his main weapon of choice.
Ruby was still asking Ozpin questions about the umbrella, that was until he told her,
"Ms. Rose, you do realize that umbrella is a weapon of my ALTERNATE-self?"
"Oh yeah...sorry about that."
"It's alright...though, seeing that cable is starting to give me some ideas for my cane."
Ruby once again squealed in delight, this time hearing the Headmaster considering to upgrade his weapon. In all honesty, she was curious about it since she laid eyes on it, wanting to know what exactly it was capable of. Maybe she would be able to -
"I appreciate the offer, Ms. Rose, but I think I can modify my cane on my own."
"Eep!"
Afterwards, Ozpin threw the guy he was holding onto towards a table, breaking it as the man landed on top of it. Then, he grabbed one of the thugs by the throat with the curve handle, and threw him at the guy who got stabbed. He then saw that the last goon pulled out his knife again, only for Ozpin to grab his wrist, latch the umbrella's handle onto the man's throat, and threw him into a metal-pole on the counter, the metal bending upon impact.
All that was left was the leader, who had finally regained consciousness, and pulled out a handgun.
Ozpin reacted quickly, immediately getting down on one knee, and opened his umbrella as soon as the leader fired rounds into it. At first the leader thought that the bullets would go through it, but it seems like the umbrella was not only bulletproof, but the inside showed a HUD, allowing Ozpin to still see the leader.
The leader was shouting as he continued to fire at him,
"YOU FUCKING, DIRTY, FUCKING, DIRTY - "
Click.
Click.
Click.
When he heard that he was out of ammo, he looked at Ozpin with wide eyes, scared of what the man was about to do now. Ozpin then spun a dial on the handle, in which the HUD showed him the word 'STUN'. That was when a trigger was revealed in the handle, and Ozpin pulled said-trigger, a beanbag round hitting the leader in the face, knocking him out for good.
As he got up, Ozpin noticed that the barkeep was about to call the police. He looked at his watch, in which another HUD opened up to him, showing the word 'AMNESIA'. Ozpin looked back at the barkeep, and actually shot him in the neck with a dart. The man had looked at Ozpin, only for his eyes to roll back into his head, and then collapsed onto the bar-counter.
Oscar looked at Ozpin, who was now walking back to his seat. Then he told him,
"Were was I...? Ah, yes, you're parents...they were more than just Huntsmen. They were apart of an independent, international intelligence agency, operating at the highest level of discretion. Above the politics and bureaucracy that undermine the integrity of government run spy organisations."
Oscar leaned in, and said to the older man,
"What were they?"
Ozpin simply smiled, and pulled off a signet ring that was on his right hand, and showed Oscar the inside of the ring. The boy noticed that inside was the phrase Ozpin said earlier, and there was also an emblem inside it. He told the boy,
"They were Kingsmen."
That was when the vision in front of them had ended, and they had mixed reactions.
"WE WANTED TO SEE MORE!"
Ruby, Nora, and Yang all shouted at the hooded-figure as to why he would end it in a cliffhanger. Jaune was the only one who was going all fanboy, for he had started to do so when he heard the word 'spy' come out of Ozpin's mouth.
Blake, Weiss, Ren, and Pyrrha all looked as if they were in deep thought when they heard of an actual, secret, spy organization. It made them wonder if there was such a thing back in their universe.
Both Ozpin and Glynda looked at each other, thinking that this...'Kingsman' Agency was quite similar to their own little 'Inner-Circle'. They, alongside Ironwood, Qrow, and the other Headmasters of the combat schools worked in the shadows, with no one - not even the Council - knew of what they were doing.
That was when Oscar realized something,
"Wait a minute...was Ozpin trying to get me into the world of spies?"
Everyone looked at him a bit odd, with Ruby asking him,
"What do you mean?"
"Well...think about it: Ozpin told me the entirety of Kingsman, for no apparent reason, except for the fact that my parents were apart of Kingsman as well. Why, though?"
"Maybe...maybe he saw potential in you."
"Potential? What potential? In case you haven't noticed...I'm just a farm-boy."
"Nope!"
When Ruby said that, she walked up to Oscar, and placed both her hands on his shoulders, and told him,
"You do have potential...you just have to dig deep to find it."
That was when she smiled towards Oscar, who was glad that his tanned complexion was able to hide the faint blush on his face. Before he could set up the next Alternate Universe, the hooded-figure looked at the interaction between the two young teens, and muttered,
"Rose Garden..."
AN: That was the second chapter of the story, now excuse me I have to go make the third chapter.
Also, once again: Jaune isn't going to be the main character for most of these AU's.
Anyways, leave your reviews, tell me what you thought about the chapter, and I'm out.
See ya later!
