Percy opened his eyes as the sun came into the Gryffindor cabin. It was more of a house, holding about 60 kids, each on their own bunk. Each of the other houses had their own cabin at Camp Hogwarts. As he got up to go to breakfast in the mess hall, he met up with Harry, Jason, and Leo, other Gryffindors. They were all the same age and pretty good friends. Percy couldn't help but notice Harry was a bit flushed.

"Harry, what's up, you already been awake?"

Harry coughed. "I mean… I might have gone for a run this morning."

It didn't take a Ravenclaw to notice Ginny blushing as she walked past, also seemingly out of breath. Jason laughed, "Off running with Ginny?"

Leo laughed, "Is that what you kids call it now?"

"Oh you are one to talk Jason," Harry retorted. "Every single time we're training on the wall, I see you looking at Piper."

"A Gryffindor liking a Slytherin?" asked Percy, "What would your sister say?"

"Thalia would probably be fine with it, or she'd be a hypocrite. She liked Luke, a Slytherin that one time," said Leo. As he said it, they entered the mess hall. After the food magically appeared on the plates, Harry separated to sit with Ron and Hermione, also Gryffindors. Ron was always late getting out of bed, but Hermione had probably been awake for hours. How she wasn't in Ravenclaw, like Annabeth, always surprised Percy.

At the instructor's table, Chiron, the leader of the camp, sat watching the campers. He taught Transfiguration, a class that Percy and a quarter of the Gryffindors had today, including Jason, Leo, Harry, Ron, Hermione, and a Gryffindor kid named Neville. Then that group would join with some Hufflepuffs, including Frank, Hazel, and Grover to go to dueling lesson and work on defense. That was taught by Lupa, a wolf, so defending yourself against her was crucial.

"Hey Seaweed Brain, what are you thinking about, staring into space like that?" asked a voice behind him. Percy turned to see Annabeth along with a fellow Ravenclaw named Luna.

"Oh hey sorry, just a bit tired is all."

"Better get not tired because I'm going to kick your butt in capture the flag tonight. Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff together can't be beat."

Some older Gryffindors, Fred and George, leaned over and laughed, "Oh yeah? Well you'll have another thing coming. We've been preparing."

"Yeah, Wise girl, be prepared to lose," Percy smirked. Annabeth rolled her eyes, before walking off. Luna smiled dreamily at Percy as she followed.

As soon as breakfast ended, Percy rushed off to Transfiguration, taught in a room of the Big House. It was a bit crowded, but they all had enough room to move their wands. Chiron looked out the window to see Cho and Silena, two older Ravenclaws working on their archery. Another Gryffindor in the Transfiguration class, Charles, also looked out the window, at Silena, his girlfriend. Percy smiled and turned back to his spells.

The day went quickly as Percy anticipated capture the flag. By the time both teams were separated and hiding their flags, he was even antsy. Gathering with Seamus, a Gryffindor, Piper and Draco, Slytherins, and Ron and Leo, his team was meant as a decoy for Harry's team, to actually get the flag. Harry looked very happy with his team, which included Nico, a Slytherin kid as sneaky as they come, and Ginny, amongst others. Jason would be holding down the fort, heading the main border patrol. He did not seem happy with his group, having not only Neville, who got nervous during capture the flag, but also another Gryffindor named Lavender, who thought capture the flag was useless. However, it was made up for with Luke, who was a powerful and older camper.

The whistle blew and the game began. Percy and his group ran west to the border and saw a glimpse of the blue and yellow shirts of the other team. They hid behind trees and Percy thought he saw a few in one of the trees, but he was too focused on speed to try to avoid them. The plan was that Percy's team would run quickly to the flag, without much secrecy, before darting to the right, hopefully leading off some of the other team that were guarding the flag. Then, they would loop around behind the flag and run back close to the border to defend Harry's team's return to their side.

It was over before it began. When Percy woke up, Annabeth was standing over him, an apologetic smile on her face.

"So, jumping down from the trees worked really well until my dagger hilt hit your head on the way down," she muttered, trying to hide a grin. "You're going to be fine. Well, except your pride, Seaweed Brain."

Percy groaned. Annabeth continued, her grey eyes twinkling.

"With you down, your team scattered, so when Harry ended up by the flag, our full force was there, except for my team. We had moved on to crush Jason's team where he stood and return victorious. Ravenpuff victorious!"

"You got lucky," he sighed, inwardly smiling as Annabeth grinned down at him. Win or lose, he was so glad that he got to be at Camp Hogwarts with all his friends and especially Annabeth. And of course Gryffindor would triumph next time.
