Author: Hello all. Wow, this must be the quiest ive ever gotten back to a fanfic. I just cant seem to get it out of my head. Also, I'm changing the POV to 3rd person. It was neccisary for the first chapter to be in 1st but from here on out it would be pointless and i beleive it would only take away from the story. 1st person POV always annoyed me while reading and its even worse to write. Anyway R&R

Disclaimer: I OWN NOTHING! All characters and places in this fanfiction are forever out of my reach and belong to someone else.

"Well that took bloody forever." The drawling voice startled Demyx and the beautiful instrament vanished although not, he noticed with some releif, the feeling that it had brought. It was as if a tendral of the horrible darkness still linked him to that beautiful sitar that had returned the feeling to his soul. The man who had spoken sat forward and his dark hood fell away from hair that was a briliant red that stood nearly straight in the air. Even from where Demyx stood he could make out the startling green of his eyes and the small dark marks underneath them. "Can somebody Pleeeease get this kid some clothes?" He continued, a smirk playing across his features. "Im starting to get all hot and bothered." Demyx blushed a deep scarlet. Since the appearance of the sitar he seemed to have regained his sense of shame along with the other emotions.

"THat is enough number 8." Xemnas drawled. "Number 9 shall be clothed soon enough. Since you seem to have taken such an interest in the boy, you shall take him to the witch. She shall take care of his needs." THe others in the room snickered but otherwise said nothing. "Aww man, this stinks. Cant you make the dog do it?!" The red haired man whined piteously at his superior.

"You shall also begin his training in the morning." Xemnas continued as if he hadnt heard him at all, and the redhead slumped in his chair, an expression of sheer annoyance on his face. "Fine, Come with me Mr. Fohawk." He said, gestering to the newest member once again. Demyx was confused.

"Mr..Fohawk?" he asked, not understanding the origin of the ridiculous nickname.

"Better show him a mirror too Axel." A cruel female voice came from another of the members. She pushed back her hood and dropped limberly from the thronelike chair to the floor in front of him. The other members followed suit, each pushing back their own hoods as they decended their seats. Xemnas alone was not among them. It seemed he had left the room entirely, although Demyx had not seen him leave. The woman had short blond hair with two longer strands near her temples that rested straight up and back over her smooth gelled hair. She stroked a long slender finger down Demyx's cheek. Although he didnt understand why, the action sent a nervous tendral of fear down his spine. The others stood silently around him, A huge man with messy red hair towered above him. Demyx glanced nervously around himself at the people surrounding him.

There was a thin, tall man with long, dark dredded hair whose angry grimace gave demyx shivers and another with a black ponytail, accented with white streaks. He had a creepy grin and an eyepatch. The man with the spiked red hair whom the blond woman had called Axel, stood next to him.

"Are we gonna stand here all day or are you idiots gonna introduce yourselves so I can get this crap over with?" Axel interjected annoyed. The blond girl stuck out her hand with a sly smirk and demyx hesitantly shook it. He again got that strange tingling fear and quickly let go. " Im Larxene, Number 12." She said, but the man with the eyepatch had already shoved her out of his way and thrust out his hand also. "Names Xigbar kid, Number 2" He grinned easily, and although the smile seemed slightly menacing, Demyx made an effort to smile back."my name is Xaldin. I am number 3 of this organization." The man with dreds spoke up, but made no move to shake Demyx's hand.

"And im Axel, though Larxene already said so." Axel interupted again, this heres Saix, he's the superiors lap dog and number 7 in our ranks. Axel gestered to a tall man with an X shaped scar across his face. Saix hissed at Axel angrily and turned away from the group without a word. He stormed down another hall opposite the one Xemnas had led Demyx through.

"Ah, dont mind him, he's nothing but a big puppy dog when you get to know him." A tall, musculer person with pink flouncy long hair spoke up, twirling a long stemed rose through his long fingers, confusing Demyx. He'd thought the person was just a woman, like Larxene, albiet, large and muscular, and though he looked so much like one, he spoke in a deep manly voice, shattering the allusion. "Im Marluxia, number 11." Marluxia spoke to him gently, and this lovely darling here, is Vexen, number 4."

Demyx tore his eyes away from the tall, pink haired man and smiled hesitantly at the tall man next to him. The man glanced around the room nervously around the room, as if he couldnt bare to focus his eyes on any one thing to long. He had long blond hair down to his knees, and when the man called Marluxia put hand on his shoulder as if to steady him, he jerked away, as if the contact had burned him. He wrapped his arms around his torso as if trying to protect himself from some unkown evil.

Afraid to do anything other than nod at the strange, panicky man, Demyx turned his attention to the next.

A shorthaired blond man reminded Demyx of a pirate and as he looked at him curiously the man gave him a huge toothy grin. "Hey there me boy!", he exclaimed excitedly."Im Luxord and this here's Lexaeus." The man with short blond hair indicated to himself and then the huge redhaired man Demyx had noticed before. "I'm number 10, he's number 5. He dont talk much."His ready grin teased a small smile from Demyx who held out his hand again.

"Nice to meetcha." Demyx told them both, the smile spreading across his face a little. "Im told that Im Demyx. Though I guess you guys already know that." he grinned sheepisly as Luxord laughed.

Demyx almost didnt notice the last of them, but once he he had seen the slate haired, shorter man, he was impossible to forget. He looked so empty. While the others seemed to have some sort of personality, and either smiled or glared at Demyx, the lack of emotion on the mans face was frightning, as if he alone had truly lost his heart and had never found it again as Demyx would swear to anyone he had in that strange blue sitar.

"Whats your name?" He asked the cold eyed, slate haired man. The man in question looked at him for a moment, as if deciding weather or not answering Demyx's question was worth his time. "Zexion." He said after a moment.

"So..you're number 13?" Demyx asked him, attempting to keep up with all the numbers he'd been given on his fingers.

"Six." Zexion told him just as coldly as he'd stated his name. He turned then, and exited through a dark hall that had materialized behind him, startling Demyx.

"How'd he..!" Demyx gave a cry of alarm. " How did he do that?!" He demanded of the other members aroun him. They sniggered a little.

"What, Xemnas didnt tell you about the portals of darkness yet?" Axel asked him, slapping him on the back. Demyx shook his head. Axel rolled his eyes.

"Well, we control them, kind of," Axel told him. "It's how we get around and everything. You'll learn to use em soon." Axel shrugged it off. "So, any other questions?"

"so..What about 13? Xemnas said he was number 1 but nobody has claimed to be 13 yet." Demyx asked him, struggling to look away from the vanishing portal. It was Axel who answered him again.

"We only have 12 members right now."

"But Xemnas said this was called the Organization 13."

Axel rolled his eyes. "Thats because that will be our final number. 13 hasn't joined us yet. Got it memorized?" The question confused demyx. "Umm, I think so." Axel rolled his eyes again. "Alright, follow me, the rest of you get lost." The other members glared at him, insulted at his abrubt dismisal and vanished into similar doorways as the mysterious Zexion had.

"Its a shame to clothe you, but I doubt you want to keep on running aroung in the buff." Axel joked. "Follow me and I'll take you to Namine'." Demyx followed him from the room on foot. He wanted to ask why they didnt take one of the strange doorways the others had, but his asking Axel questions only seemed to irritate the man, so he remained silent on their way down the dimly lit corridors. It seemed like forever before Axel finally stopped in front of a plain white door.

He pushed it open, beckoning Demyx to follow him.

"Hey girly, brought you a project." Demyx peered around him, attempting to catch a glimpse of who he spoke to. A little girl with blond hair sat in the middle of a blank, white room. She looked up as they entered and a soft smile lit up her angelic face.

"Axel." She said happily. " I wondered when you would come to visit me. Who's this?" She asked him as she spotted Demyx.

"New kid, called Demyx. Can't have him running naked everywhere, might cause a riot." Axel smirked at his own joke. Demyx became painfully aware of his nakedness again and attempted to cover himself "I can help him. You can leave if you want Axel, I think dinner will be ready soon." Axel ruffled her hair affectionately. "Good girl, see you later." And he disapeared into a portal, leaving Demyx alone with the girl.

"Hi, I'm Demyx." He said timidly, unsure if the girl was friendly or just pretending.

"Hi Demyx, I'm Namine', Im going to draw you some clothes." She smiled at him now. " You'll get a room later but It'll be pretty basic. If you come see me again later I can make it look however you want though." She said sweetly. Demyx smiled at her again, a bit less nervous now." I'll just draw what you need real quick." She told him, turning her attention to a small drawing pad and some pencils in different colors she had nestled in her lap. "How does that help?" Demyx asked her. " Do you show your drawings to a store?" Namine giggled. "No silly, my drawings become real you know. If I draw you in the normal cloak of the orginazation, you will suddenly appear in it. If I draw you a room, that is how it will appear. If you tell me what you want, I can draw you some casual outfits for times when you do not need the cloak." She explained patiently. Demyx nodded, he thought he understood pretty well. "Thats a pretty cool trick, can everyone do stuff like that here?" Namine shook her head. "Everyone's powers are different here. You'll soon find yours. Its connected to your own weapon and personality."

"Weapon?" Demyx asked her, "You mean that beautiful intstrament? The one that made me feel stuff again?" Namine smiled at him. "Yes that one, but the feelings arn't real. They are merely a memory. The weapons merely magnify the memory, creating the illusion of feelings so that we may better blend into the worlds of somebodies. It is not your heart but a weapon, and a tool. But you may name it so if you wish."

Demyx nodded again and changed the subject. "So what kinda clothes do
I need?"

"Well, whats your favorite color?" She asked him, and Demyx answered her immediately.

"Blue." he told her. That same vibrant color as the sitar that he had been rebourne with. She nodded absantmindedly and began to scribble into the notebook.

It took him a few moments to realize he was now in one of the long black cloaks that the other members wore. Releived at his newfound clothing and curious, Demyx moved behind the girl to peer over her shoulder at her work.

"I'll draw you some other clothes to start with. They'll be in your room later." She told him. Etchings of a closet with double doors covered the page and Namine was busy filling it with what appeared to be copies of the cloak he wore now, along with blue and white shirts, long black pants and several pairs of shoes along with the uniform black boots. Though he had told her blue, some splashes of greens and greys mixed in with the blue and blacks and Demyx found he rather liked the color scheme. Namine shooed him away, concentrating on the notepad.

"You may as well head to dinner yourself Demyx, This will take awhile. Come see me tomorrow and I'll fix up your room for you okay?" Demyx thanked her and waving goodbye Demyx exited the room, shutting the door. He realized then that he had no idea where he was and neither did he know how to create those strange doors that everyone here seemed to be able to create so easily. The smell of frying fish drifted down the hall, making his stomache grumbled irritably. Inhaling appreciatively, he followed his nose down the halls.

He wandered aimlessly, and though he found dozens of huge chambers and what appeared to be someones bedroom, done in bright energizing yellows and flashes of withe and black that made Demyx think of electricity or lightning, he had yet to find the kitchen. So much for being able to follow his nose he thought. Just as he was begging to think he would starve to death he turned a corner and ran into another member of the organization.

"Hey there little dude, you get lost?" Demyx looked up at the man from the floor. Xigbar grinned down at him and reached down to pull him to his feet.

"Hey, I was just looking for the kitchen. Must've gotten lost." Demyx told him sheepishly.

Xigbar laughed. "How bout I show you the way huh little dude?" Demyx nodded vigorously, releived.

"Yes please!" He told him, "I'm starving!" Demyx's stomache snarled just then, filling the halls with the sound.

Xigbar smirked again. "That's normal Kid, you'll be pretty starved the first couple days after your rebirth. Must be because you've never actually eaten and rebirth takes alot of energy."

He steered Demyx down the hall as he spoke. A few turns and several moments later they finally entered a large dining room with a long table and several benches. At the moment the benches were occupied by several of the other members, currently enjoying the heaping platters of fried fish, great bowls of rice or potatoes, and what appeared to asparagus. The table seemed to be groaning.

"Bout time you showed up newbie, thought Namine must've drawn you into a pit or somethin." Axel called out, startling Demyx who was busy staring at all the food.

"She..She can do that?" Demyx asked him nervously, taking a seat across from Axel at the great table. Xigbar shoved a plate of the fish and rice in front of him. Demyx was greatful to see he'd left off the asparagus and had added a roll dripping with butter. Picking up his fork Demyx took a hesitant bite of the fish, warily looking at Axel.

"She could, but she wouldn't...probably." Axel told him, chuckling as Demyx dug into his food at a feverish pace.

"Slow down kid, you'll choke." he told him. The man called Luxord handed him a glass of amber liquid. Demyx sniffed it. It smelled kind of spicy and Demyx took a large swig. Demyx choked, pushing the glass back at Luxord he grasped at the glass of water Axel handed him across the table. As he sat gulping the water desperately Luxord laughed uproariously while the others sniggered.

"Newbie can't hold his Rum!" he exclaimed delightedly. Setting the glass down finally Demyx blushed and turned back to his fish, attempting to ignore them. It only made em laugh harder.

"Don't worry about Luxord, he's a drunk" Axel told him.

Luxord kept laughing as he exited the kitchen through one of the dark portals.

"This might take some getting used to huh?" Demyx asked Axel, digging into his food again.

45 minutes later Demyx leaned back in his chair, finally satiated. He'd gone through what appeared to be an entire platter of the fried fish and 5 heaping servings of the rice and had even tried the asparagus which turned out to be pretty good, drizzled in oil and some sort of seasoning before they'd brought out an enourmous birthday cake. His name had been crossed out by somebody and replaced with the words "Fresh Meat" He'd had two slices before he'd been unable to eat another bite, although he'd tried. Xigbar hadn't been wrong when he'd said he'd be famished.

Demyx looked around the table. Most of the others had left, leaving himself, Axel, and Xigbar. Vexen sat at the far end of the table, desperately trying to avoid Marluxias attems to feed him bits of the leftover cake and Zexion sat just a few seats down from Demyx, emersed in a thick book. Demyx was surprised to see him, as he hadnt noticed him sitting there during there meal. He guessed he must have just come in as there was a small plate of the fish and rice sitting in front of him, barely touched.

Demyx's attention was split for a moment when Axel and Xigbar said there goodbyes and exited. Demyx started in surprised when he saw huge vines holding Vexen in his seat, cake smeared on his mouth as Marluxia continued to try and get him to eat the cake. Attempting to ignore the duo at the end, Demyx turned his attention back to the slate haired man.

"Hey, it's Zexion right?" Demyx asked him. Zexion looked up and angled his gaze at Demyx, his empty gaze seeming almost irritated. Demyx wondered if he was remembering being irritated.

"Thats correct." Zexion answered him finally. "Did you need something or can I please go back to my book?"

"Gee sorry, didnt mean to bother you." Demyx said. "Just sayin hi is all." Zexion stared at him coldly.

"I'll just head out now." Demyx said nervously, retreating towards the door away from that cold emotionless stare. He started when he bumped into somebody behind him.

"Hey, figured you'd need someone to show you to your room." Demyx look behind him. Axel stood there beconing to him, a dark portal already open. Glancing back at Zexion Demyx saw he'd already returned to his book. Demyx nodded.

"Yeah thanks Axel." He hesitantly followed the red haired man into the dark hallway. Once he'd entered the doorway the darkness closed around him. Demyx froze.

"Hey now, keep moving, I dont feel like messing around with the heartless right now." Axel told him, pulling him along. Wondering what the heartless were, Demyx walked quickly behind him. The darkness opened suddenly into another of the white dimly lit hallways. Demyx practically leapt out of the dark hall and nearly bumped into a large white door. IV was carved into the center in silver.

"Dont worry, newbie." Axel told him. " You'll get used to it." Demyx nodded.

"What is this place?" he asked him, looking at the door with the funny symbol on it.

"What do you think? It's your room newbie, got it memorized?" Axel told him. "Welcome home number 9" He opened the door with the funny symbol. It swung inward ominously, revealing a square of pitch black.
