Dammit! Ichigo hated it when there were a group of hollows attacking instead of just one. Made things more complicated and made it more likely someone might get hurt. The number of hollows that were around reminded Ichigo of the time that Uryuu set off that hollow bait and it went out of control. That stupid Quincy didn't do that again did he?
Ichigo jumped and was about to slice the mask of another hollow when an arrow made of what looked like blue light pierced the mask and the hollow melted away with a roar. He turned in the direction that the arrow came from and spotted Uryuu on top of a nearby building, "It's about time you get here to help. You didn't use another one of those stupid hollow baits did you?"
Uryuu narrowed his eyes as he shot another arrow, "Of course not idiot. I haven't used that since our battle."
"Well then why are all these hollows coming at once?"
"How would I know? But I suggest you continue to fight so you can protect yourself."
Ichigo looked at him surprised then raised his zanpakuto to block another hollow's attack. Idiot, he yelled at himself. He almost forgot he was in a battle, which is one of the stupidest things to forget.
Some of them were pretty strong hollows too, not quite to the gillian level, but almost there so since there were so many of them Ichigo had his hands full and barely registered that Orihime and Chad had arrived to help.
There were only about 10 left when from out of the sky came a dark navy blue ball of energy, hitting the hollow Ichigo was going to battle next square in the mask causing it to disappear.
Ichigo gaped at the space that the hollow had occupied for a few seconds, then looked up trying to find out who it was the energy ball came from.
They were a ways away still so he couldn't tell who it was, then they started flying closer. Wait! Flying? That was impossible, not even shinigami could fly. But the figure kept on defying the laws of both physics and shinigami abilities and flew down to them. The figure, Ichigo could now tell it was a female with black hair, formed another ball of energy on her fist and then punched a hollow, and it disappeared as well.
Ichigo then heard Orihime's disbelieving voice, "Tatsuki?"
It was then that he realized it really was Tatsuki, and that the others were staring also.
"C'mon you guys, quit standing around like idiots, there are more hollows you know!"
Tatsuki proved her point by firing another shot of energy behind Uryuu killing the hollow who was coming up behind him.
XxXxXxXxX
Tatsuki thought that the looks on their faces were just priceless, so worth the work it took for her to get as far as she has so far.
But she didn't allow herself to truly revel in the feeling till the hollows were dead and everyone was safe.
After the battle and she landed among them, Orihime approached her first, "Tatsuki how did you do that? You hadn't developed any spiritual gifts when we did so I didn't think you were going to."
Tatsuki smiled a little, "And I still haven't."
Ichigo then spoke up, "But then how did you do that?"
"You remember me telling you about Trunks right"
"That he was an alien and stuff, yeah." Then Ichigo thought about what she was saying, "You mean he's been teaching you?"
"Ha ha, you got it Ichigo."
Orihime clapped her hands together with an excited look on her face, "Oh, I've got to meet him. I've always wanted to see an alien. Is he all green with giant weird eyes like in all the movies?"
Tatsuki facepalmed a little, "No Orihime, he doesn't. He looks very human really. Which is part of the reason I didn't believe him at first." She looked at Ichigo, "Same with you too huh?"
Ichigo nodded.
"Oh yeah, I remember that now." Orihime laughed and rubbed the back of her head, "It would be easy to believe he was an alien if he looked like that. Well, I still want to meet him."
Tatsuki felt something, and looked up at the sky, then smiled, "Well, you're going to get your wish. Here he comes now,"
She saw Orihime look up squinting, trying to see him but in the wrong direction and he landed in their group before she knew it.
"Hey Trunks, didn't expect to see you today."
Trunks smiled at her, "I can see that. So I take it you finally showed your friends?"
"Yeah, you should have seen their faces."
Uryuu approached, "I've heard a little about you, my name is.."
"Wait a second Tatsuki," Ichigo rudely interrupted the Quincy. "Wait a minute Tatsuki, you had just met him didn't you?"
"Well since I hadn't seen him before , then yes. I'd say that's correct. You couldn't teach me to do anything since I don't have enough reiryoku to be a shinigami. So I had to find another way to be of use." She smiled and said while walking up to Trunks, "Besides, he hasn't done anything to me that I didn't want him to." With that statement she reached up and took his head in her hands and pulled him down for a long deep kiss. Trunks was surprised for a second, then smiled as he kissed back and wrapped his arms around her waist.
Normally she wasn't into such a display in public, which is why Trunks was a bit surprised at first. But this way she could show what their relationship was without having to say anything.
Since no one said or did anything during her kiss with Trunks she assumed that they were too stunned to do anything and when the kiss ended she turned to look at them and saw that she was right. Well mostly anyways, Orihime had clapped both hands in front of her with a goofy, yet gleeful excited look on her face and she knew exactly what was going to happen next and stepped to the side so she wasn't barreled over by her enthusiastic friend.
Orihime squealed a little and ran up to Trunks, "Oh my gosh, you must be Trunks. I've heard about you from Tatsuki and Ichigo. I'm Orihime Inoue, Tatsuki's best friend."
All of that was said in a slightly high pitched voice very quickly and Trunks seemed a little stunned and overwhelmed even though she told him about her.
Then Orihime turned to her with her hands on her hips, "Why didn't you tell me that you two were dating?"
Before she could respond Ichigo pointed his finger at her and started waving it a little as he began yelling, "What the hell Tatsuki! You guys haven't known each other very long and now you're dating him?!"
At that point Trunks started to get mad at Ichigo.
"Who do you think you are? Don't you trust her judgment? Or do you think of her as a little girl and can't be trusted to make her own decisions?"
"What?! Take that back! She's not a little girl!"
And so the argument went on with the onlookers sweat dropping a little. Tatsuki should have expected this really. She knew Ichigo didn't have any kind of romantic interest in her at all, but she was his oldest friend and he protected his friends, and he didn't know Trunks at all.
After only about 45 seconds she got tired of listening to them, "Alright children, that's enough!"
Both of them shut up and stared at her in surprise.
"That's better. Ichigo, first thing is you don't get to have a say in my personal life, you're not my mother, or anyone else to say who I can date. Although my mom doesn't have a say in it either, but that's beside the point. Trunks is right, you can trust me to make a sound judgment on someone. After all, you had just barely met Rukia and you trusted her to let her stab you in the stomach with a sword right? Plus, I know you've started dating her."
Ichigo looked stunned and reddened as everyone turned to him in surprise. Apparently she was the only one that caught on to that little tidbit.
She then turned to Trunks, "And you, I know Ichigo was butting in where he doesn't belong and was being rude, but it doesn't mean you can insult him like that. He's just trying to look out for me because even though I might get angry at him sometimes, he's still my friend."
She looked back and forth at both guys to make sure they got the point and she noticed Trunks looked a little bewildered and then realized that he had never seen her angry before. Though this definitely wasn't as bad as she can get. Her other friends knew how she was and were a little relieved that she didn't unleash her full wrath at Ichigo.
Both Ichigo and Trunks sighed at the same time and then said, "Sorry Tatsuki."
The boys glared at each other for a few seconds then looked away.
Seriously, why are guys so childish sometimes?
"Anyways Trunks. Was there a particular reason you came today, or is this just a random visit?
Trunks looked at her a little startled, then smiled, "No, it isn't a random visit. I thought we could go out tonight. I've found a place here that looks interesting and thought we could check it out together."
"Sounds great, let's do that." She walked up to Trunks and took his hand, "Let's go."
She then turned to everyone else, "Sorry this is just a short visit with Trunks everyone, but you'll get a chance to get to know each other later. Bye."
With that comment both her and Trunks took to the sky flying towards Tatsuki's place so she could start getting ready.
While still on the ground everyone looked up at them, still amazed at her. Even though they didn't know it, each and every one of them were thinking the same thing, "I've got to get her to teach me to fly."
A/N: Wow, sorry that took so long guys. I had started this a long time ago, and then got stuck and couldn't figure a way out of it till now. Now I know that the meeting was brief, but the Bleach gang and Trunks are going to meet again in the next chapter. And things will go better that time too, lol. This will be one of the rare times that one chapter is going to tie into the next one. So stay tuned for it.
As before, I still haven't come up with a good title for the entire collection of short stories, so any suggestions will be appreciated. And so would any ideas you guys might have about what could happen in the future for them.
