Double d was shaken out of his daze by Eddy's words. He turned to his friend, his mouth agape. "Y-You cannot be serious!" he shouted.

Eddy turned to his friend. "I'm dead serious! Think of the cash we could make by selling this thing!"

"Sell it? Sell it to who?"
"I dunno, the military?

"And what makes you think they won't just lock us up in a cell?"

"Why the hell would they do that?"

"I-I don't know, maybe we accidently stumbled upon a secret weapon of theirs or something?"

"What, and they entrusted my mom and dad to look after it, they don't even look after me!"

"Well I, I uh...where's Ed?" The two looked into the mirror and saw Ed frolicking in the field. The two shrieked in shock before running in after him. The mirror rippled as they ran through, its texture almost like liquid, giving no resistance to them and allowing them through. Eddy and Double d stumbled out into the grassy field, stopping for a moment to get their bearings. Edd's nervousness soon returned full force, however. "I-I-I think we may be in over our heads t-this time, Eddy," he said.

"Calm down and help me find Ed," Eddy replied, scanning the area with his eyes. He pointed westward when he saw Ed sniffing some flowers. "There's our lump!" The two hurried over to Ed, who looked up and waved at them.

"Hey guys!" he shouted before getting conked on the noggin by Eddy.

"Ed, you idiot! Who just runs into an interdimensional portal mirror? Who does that?!"

"Eddy's the voice of reason," Double d said, "We must be in another dimension."

"We must be if you're cracking jokes at a time like this," Eddy grumbled.

"I'm just doing what I can to remain calm. Panicking will get us nowhere. Now then, we've had our fun, let's return to the mirror."

"Probably a good idea, right ed?" Eddy asked, pulling ed by the ear.

"Awww," Ed lamented as he was pulled away. However, once they reached the mirror, they were shocked to find only a boulder where the portal once was. The only indication of there ever being a portal to begin with being a rectangle of glass in the side. The eds took this well.

"WHAT THE HELL?!" they shrieked in unison. Our three heroes ran around in circles for several minutes, screaming at the top of their collective lungs. Eventually of course, the panic subsided, and they all fell to the ground, exhausted.

"Okay," Eddy said in between breaths. "We um, well we...we're screwed."

"N-now fellows, let's not jump to conclusions," Double d said as calmly as he was able. "We may very well be not too far away from home."

"Uh, guys," Ed chimed in, pointing to the sky. The other two followed his finger and their eyes shot open like dinner plates. In the sky above them, high into orbit, was what looked like a ring! Not unlike the kinds of rings one would see around Saturn.

"Why am I always wrong about the stuff that matters?" Double d said in between sobs. Then, from the distance, the sound of hooves stomping the earth echoed through the valley. Someone was on their way to the eds location. Our three heroes perked up and looked to the source of the sounds. Seven men on horseback rode up to the eds, stopping in front of them. Just when the three thought they were safe, however, the horse riders reached into their coats and whipped out pistols to aim at them. Rustic, almost victorian-esque pistols, but guns nonetheless. Enough to assure the eds that they were in a heap of trouble.

"You're gonna get one warning." Said the leader of the pack in an indiscernible language. "Drop all your belongings and we won't kill you." When the eds didn't move per the orders they couldn't understand, the thugs cocked their pistols to demonstrate that they mean business.

Eddy could think of only one course of action. "Scatter!" And with that, the three took off in random directions, prompting the thugs to split up and chase after each one.

Eddy didn't know how far or how long he had been running, but he still heard the horse behind him, so he kept running. He tried to lose him in the woods, jumping over fallen logs and stones. However, the bandit had a trick up his sleeve. He loaded a bright red capsule into his pistol and fired into the woods. When it hit the ground, a massive fire broke out around Eddy. He turned around, seeing the bandit walk through the flames, grinning. "End of the line ki-hrgk"" the bandit's words were interrupted when another shot was fired from behind him, and a spike of ice burst from his chest. After a gurgle or two, the bandit fell over dead. Eddy stared wide eyed at the newcomer, a stocky figure clad in shining platinum armor. The stranger lifted its gun into the air and fired another bolt that exploded in mid air, releasing a shower of ice that put out the fire around them. Eddy backed up against a tree when the figure approached him. The knight pulled out a small jewel shaped device and swiftly stuck it onto Eddy's forehead.

Before Eddy could take it off, the knight spoke. "Calm down, kid. It's a translator jewel, it's not going to hurt you," the knight said in an undeniably feminine voice. Eddy stared at the girl in front of him as she flipped a switch on the back of her neck, causing steam to jet from the armor's neck. She then pulled off the helmet, revealing a pair of green eyes and a head of long black hair. "There, that's better. Now then, my name is Styna, what of yours?"

"E-Eddy," he replied, his cheeks tinting red. Eddy started to think that that mirror had taken him to heaven.

"taken him to heaven?" Why yes, I am an embarrassingly hopeless romantic XD. Oh well, see you in the next chapter.
