Mater and Lightning McQueen screamed as the two cars were being followed by several angry police cars, who mistook the two for crazy taxis, with several of those vehicles actually drifting by them as they were still in the chaotic city by the bay known as San Fransisco. It was rather misfortune that Lightning and Mater were chilling by the Pizza Hut when a crazy taxi went right through the restaurant, causing it to collapse as several police cars noticed and identified anyone nearby to be involved.
"Remind me to never be a crazy taxi!" Lightning exclaimed as though he was going faster than the police cars, he knew that he couldn't keep driving forever. "Racing in the circuit is one thing, but this is ridiculous!"
"You're telling me!" Mater panted as he tried swinging his hook as a distraction, but it obviously didn't seem to work. "But during the stone age..."
Driving on the grass obviously wasn't as smooth a ride as being on concrete, but it was enough for Lightning and Mater to escape, as the police cars were just too slow to even bother catching up. This did proof to be a problem, as more police cars from out of state started to gather up on the roads of San Fransisco, proving that it was going to get real ugly for any fast car soon.
