Notes: Slanted text, like so, means it is either a flashback, inner thought, or there is emphasis on that word. Also, bolded text, like so, indicates that Kyuubi is speaking to Naruto.

Naruto felt like throwing something. He settled for glaring at the Hokage.
"Don't give me that look, boy. You will do what I say, when I say it, because I am the Hokage."
Naruto scowled in annoyance.
"More like an old hag" he whispered under his breath.
"What was that?" Tsunade growled, eyes glinting in anger.
"Nothing!" Naruto said, face a perfect picture of innocence.
Sakura and Sasuke rolled there eyes at Naruto's antics, whilst Kakashi sighed. Tsunade rubbed at her forehead, trying to ward of the migraine she could feel throbbing beneath her temple.
"Look, Naruto, I know a year long mission isn't exactly ideal, but all our other teams are currently on their own important mission, and so I have no other choice. Besides, it might be good for you to get out of the village a bit. Get some fresh air."
"There's fresh air in Konoha" Naruto deadpanned. Tsunade grit her teeth in frustration.
In all honesty, Naruto knew why they specifically were being sent on this mission. All other teams were currently out searching for the Akatsuki, in the hopes of taking them down before they made their way to Konoha. Also, since Naruto had dragged Sasuke's ass kicking and screaming back to Konoha, there had been many political battles over the fate of the last Uchiha. Eventually, Sasuke was allowed to return back to duty under the condition that he be monitored frequently at all times by a Jounin or higher. That didn't stop Danzo from demanding his head.
This mission was more about protecting Naruto and Sasuke than it was protecting some teen "wizard."
Yes, wizard. That part, they'd all had a hard time swallowing. However, they found that giant birds spontaneously bursting into flames so as to return to their master was more than enough convincing.
"Naruto, it's done. We're going on this mission and that is final. Fall in line."
Kakashi wasn't usually one for ordering his Team around unnecessarily. However, he could see the blood steadily rising to Tsunade's face and so decided to intervene before they ended up having to dig up the boy from a pile of rubble, after having been put into the ground by said Hokage. Naruto, hearing the warning in his voice, obeyed with little more than a sour look on his face.
Turning to the Hokage, Kakashi gestured for her to continue speaking.
"Thank you Kakashi," Tsunade said. "As I was saying, you've been asked to go on a year long mission to a wizarding school called 'Hogwarts," where you will pose as students in their fifth year and work together to protect a young man named 'Harry Potter' from harm. It says here in this letter that some outside force named 'Voldemort' is attempting to kill the boy. The letter does not say why, simply that his death must be prevented at all costs."
"That sounds stupid."
"Tell me about it." Naruto said to his little inner demon.
"I'm not little." Kyuubi growled.
"Sure, furball, whatever you say."
Kurama said nothing in return, choosing instead to sink into annoyed silence. Naruto shook his head in exasperation.
"Naruto?"
His head snapping up, Naruto saw them all looking at him, seeming to be waiting for something. Sasuke rolled his eyes at him, muttering something that sounded suspiciously like "idiot" under his breath. Naruto ignored him, though he felt something akin to hurt burst through his chest. Especially when he saw Sakura nod almost unconsciously in agreement to Sasuke's silent mutter.
"I asked" Tsunade said, drawing out the syllables in annoyance, "If you had any questions?"
"Uhhh, yeah actually. How are we supposed to be getting there? I assume we can't just run there like we normally do."
"Good question. Dumbledore, our employer, said you would be getting there by portkey."
The look on their Hokage's face told them all even she didn't know what that was. Their expression must have mirrored a question, because she waved her hand helplessly to a corner, in which sat a beaten up old boot.
"Apparently," she said, drawing out the word to express her skepticism, "You touch this, it lights up blue, and then transports you to where you need to go."
Silence met her proclamation. Silence which Sakura eventually broke.
"I don't mean to step on any toes, Tsunade-Sama, but doesn't this all seem very sketchy? I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that I don't really fancy touching some magical boot and then being whisked off to some faraway land. How do you know we're not being deceived?"
At this, her eyes trailed to her captain and team mates. Anyone and everyone who was apart of the Ninja world knew who these three were. The last Uchiha, the Copycat Ninja, and the Kyuubi Jinchuuriki. Anyone who got their hands on them would make a fortune. All three, and they might as well rule the shinobi nations.
Tsunade inclined her head in acknowledgment towards Sakura at that, a proud look in her eyes. Sakura had grown up into a fine young woman.
"You're fears aren't unfounded, Sakura. However, I know this mission to be legitimate, only because the Third, rest his soul, told me of them. He himself has had dealings with them in the past, and told me that they usually communicated via their Pheonix, Fawkes being it's name."
"And now, it is time to go. I trust you have your things on you?"
They all nodded in confirmation. It was a rule that all Ninja's were to have a basic seventy-two hour survival pack on them at all times, in the case that they were either sent out on some sudden mission, or they were attacked out of the blue. They were kept on each Ninja by a seal tattooed onto their bodies.
"Good. anything else you need you can buy, Professor Dumbledore has offered to provide you with the necessary money from his own pocket. If there is anything of absolute importance that you need from you house, than you'll just have to get someone to send it to you at a later date. Understood?"
"Yes, Hokage-sama."
"Okay. Then please, make your way over to the boot and place your hand on it. Dumbledore told them that upon first contact, it'll immediately start glowing. After that, you have only seconds to get a hand on it before it disappears.
They all nodded their understanding, before going to stand warily over the boot. It was quite a worn down thing, so much so it could've been retrieved from the side of the road. Sharing a glance, they all bent down to grasp a section of the leather boot. Almost immediately, the boot began to glow an eerie blue, lighting up the whole room with it's fluorescent light. Naruto watched the boot with growing apprehension. Sakura looked as if she were about to tear her hand off of the boot and run off, but Naruto stopped her with a glance. Sasuke watched the exchange with mild amusement, whilst Kakashi looked as out of it as ever.
The light emitting from the boot expanded, enveloping them in a hue of light. With a tug, bright flash of light and an exclamation of surprise from Sakura, they disappeared.
Tsunade shielded her eyes against the light, only lowering it when all light had dissipated from the room.
Eyeing the spot they had disappeared from, she bought one hand up to warily slide down her face.
"Good Luck." she whispered to the now empty office.
They were probably going to need it.
A/N okay, this is the second chapter. Thank you for the reviews, they were all greatly appreciated. I get little (humongous) jolts of happiness every time I read them. Please keep them coming I would just like everyone to know that this will not be yaoi. In fact I'm not even sure it will have any pairings at all. Maybe later on when I actually have an idea of what I want to do with this story, but until then, all pairings will be practically non-existent.
