Erza p.o.v.
I could not forgive myself for my weakness, which made me so ashamed of myself. I could barely protect my friend when she found herself in trouble and all this hesitation just because I was scared to be thrown away from this school. I had the strength yet I could only stare into the void when Laxus showed up. Just then black-haired locks came into my vision and soon I saw a female with determined look in her eyes rip the red card before Laxus himself. Most people stood there in shock as this happened. I could only glance at the female in admiration as she did something like this for a mere stranger. Some minutes later Cana approached us and this was when I realized that the unknown female was the best friend I heard so much about since the beginning of school after summer.
Cana's big mouth enveloped and soon we got to know her friend was trained by her father which was indeed the strongest man in Fiore called Gildarts Clive. I never meet him personally but from the information I got to know from Cana herself, he surely liked to travel. As his journeys continued he was about so many strange adventures that he was announced to the strongest man in Fiore by the people.
Now some hours later we were sitting, having a lunch with the new friend we made.
"I'm so sorry Lucy, I could not bring myself to defend you properly. Please hit me." That was the exact words that left my mouth and meanwhile everyone else looked at me strangely Joanna spoke.
"You can't blame yourself for that it's either you hold yourself back and hope he won't get rough on Lucy or strike back and made yourself get thrown out from school." I nodded because this was true. Laxus could just kick me out if I crossed his path. So it was either being kicked out and leaving Lucy in this school or hoping for the best.
"Doesn't it apply to you as well?" Levy asked as sure she probably risked being throw out at this point.
"Oh no I have a contract with chairman Macarov and so I can't leave this school until I graduate. I have everything on documents even he can't oppose them as long as Macarov is still alive for that matter." Cana then had to think out the worst possible scenario.
"Wouldn't he then kill his grandfather just for that?" everyone looked at her with are you serious look. Sure Laxus stepped quite low but he wouldn't sink himself to a level of scum at least that's what I was hoping for.
"Don't worry Cana he's going to accept this as a challenge, it be who will give up first me or Laxus." Joanna seemed so calm while saying this. She seemed to have a lot of confidence, so it seemed like even if Laxus used physical strength she wouldn't probably kneel for him.
"But isn't this dangerous to clash swords with Laxus?" Lucy asked quite worried as she seemed guilty reminding herself it was her mistake that bought all this upon us.
"Dangerous was climbing mountains without any rope with the fear of heights. This is going to be a challenge yes but in the end I be the winner." She smirked while Cana started to clap her back laughing.
"Are you going to make him fall for you or something?" the idea was ridiculous and only she could come up with such plan indeed. I facepalmed but soon Mira joined the conversation.
"Wait a moment let me imagine your kids." As always she probably imagined something awful and so she shook her head not wanting to see it.
"Don't say you imagined some buffy kid fighting with bears." Lucy said sighting at this stupid idea.
"Yes I'm sure they going to give birth to a monster." Meanwhile everyone beside Joanna just shook their heads. Instead the black-haired female was laughing on the floor unstoppably. Cana then thought.
"How about we join Blue Pegasus Academy instead, heard there is more hot guys over there." The mention of Blue Pegasus made Cana's best friend come back on her feet.
"Oh it's where Loki is going." I could see this sparkle in her eyes that soon died out as if she remembered something tragic. Mirajane seemed to seen this sparkle as well and from this moment I knew her match making side took over.
"But it's in the middle of term so I guess it be hard to get into this school." Levy remarked as Lucy agreed. Then Lisanna added.
"Well now we are students in top 1 school in Fiore. If the students of Blue Pegasus don't know about the groove situation in this school I'm pretty sure we can exchange our places with them." Cana nodded her head seeing this as a great idea so far.
"You can always go for it guys I can take of Laxus by myself." Joanna said as then Mirajane was the first to shake her head.
"Don't worry we only do it if it's an ASAP situation." Then we saw her put into a hug the awkward female with made us all giggle at the whole situation.
Sting p.o.v.
Our group made themselves comfortable in our usual spot, for some reason Natsu and Gray was again into a huge fight. These two never change in fact. On the other side it's quite enjoyable seeing how Natsu gets beaten even if I'm not the one fighting him.
Soon enough we heard Laxus slam his hand against the table which made the two idiots stop in their tracks as their attention span was now on Laxus.
"How dare she?!" he yelled as probably the whole hall heard his frustration. I must admit I never saw him this angry before, this chick must have driven him nuts already and this was only the first day. I could foresee that the nerd chick with glasses would probably leave us soon.
"Who is she by the way?" Gray asked and yes so far no one really knew her real name.
"Just a while ago I let myself get some information about her. Yet it seems barely any students know her beside Cana. I couldn't really get in contact with her and I assume because she is her best friend she won't tell us anything beside the fact she was trained by her father. If we must trust her words." Laxus gridded his teeth and so he asked.
"Have you at least a name?" Freed nodded as he continued.
"Her name seems to be Joanna Warmaker, that's the only thing I can tell you so far." Natsu was the first to comment it.
"Awesome." Which made couple of us sweatdrop at his reaction.
"Is that even a real name?" Bixlow asked as Freed looked at him from the papers.
"You have nothing to say when your last name is Souleater." Bixlow nodded as he got the point.
"I wonder who Gildarts is anyway." Sure I never heard about the dude and I had no idea what he accomplished for earn that title and so Natsu looked at me in shock. From his expression earlier I could tell he admired the man.
"He's the strongest man in Fiore." Which made me ask following question.
"How and why?" and the next to answer was Gray.
"I heard he defeated a runaway lion from the zoo." That sounded quite unique but it was just a rumor wasn't it?
"I on the other hand saw him once move a car with his bare hands." Bixlow claimed with sounded kind of too much for my taste.
"So if you are right does it mean the black-haired chick is the biggest treat after his daughter." That sure made the Thunder Tribe wonder. However soon my question was answered by Freed.
"No Cana is just a simple alcoholic, she never trained with her dad. She mostly is out and parting right now she is in a search for a boyfriend." Then I looked at him.
"So you know so much about her but not her best friend how come?" I asked quite confused that it was so hard to gather info on the nerd girl.
"I asked around. Meanwhile Cana is pretty social and she leaks info about her daily life right and left her friend is quite different. Let me read you some quotes from the students I interviewed. 'Once I tried to follow her home because I saw this mysterious side of her quite interesting, before I realized she turned around and glared at me seconds later she disappeared in the shadows. It was so scary as if I was watching the girl from the ring I never bothered with her again.' So as you see she is good at pushing people away." I wasn't really sure whatever laugh at this or look shocked because she was nowhere beside scary. I was sure that beside all the scene she made she was just a puny girl I could take care off.
"So who is most of a treat after that Joanna girl?" Rouge asked as Natsu and Gray looked at eatchother and they said.
"Erza Scarlet." They sure never agreed on something so fast before.
"How come?" Laxus asked also quite confused to why their hands were trembling in fear.
"She is hella scary even as a kid she used to beat us up." Natsu said as Gray nodded his head agreeing fully with the hothead. Seeing this scene just brought me to tears because this was too damn funny. They both seeing me rolling on the floor said at the same time.
"I'm going to kill you Sting." Yet before any real fight could evolve Laxus slammed his fist against the table yet again.
"Sting! Give the girl with glasses a red card!" this order made me pick myself up and as I followed his command. I couldn't wait to see that girl begging for forgiveness after she showed so much guts to the whole group.
