Now on with the story.
Prologue
For the first time in his life, Minato was scared. Everything seemed to be going well for him, until everything just crumbled and fell apart.
"Goodbye my son..." Minato thought as he began sealing the Kyuubi.
The Kyuubi's eyes widened as he did so. In a last ditch attempt to stop Minato he tried to impale the newborn. It was at this moment Kushina jumped in front of the Kyuubi's claw, and dropped to the floor with a smile on her face, as her eyes fluttered closed.
A few moments later Minato finished the handseals.
"Eight Triagrams Seal!" shouted Minato.
"Damn you Namikaze!" roared the Kyuubi as he was sealed into baby Naruto.
Minato quickly went through another set of handseals.
"Shiki Fuijn!"
The ghostly figure of the Shinigami appeared behind him, and another seal appeared onto his stomach.
Suddenly, a white beacon of bright light appeared on Naruto's seal.
Smiling, Minato stroked his son's forehead.
"I love you, Naruto." Minato thought, before he too, dropped dead on the floor.
A few hours later, Hiruzen arrived upon the scene of carnage and destruction. As he walked inside the safehouse, he saw Minato lying on the floor, and Naruto crying in his cot.
"It's almost as if he knows what happened to his parents." he thought grimly.
Some moments later, Kakashi sunshined (A/N: Is it sunshined?) next to Hiruzen.
"What will become of Naruto?" Kakashi asked solemnly.
"It's been a day of loss and suffering; his future will be decided tommorow in the council chambers." he gritted his teeth at the thought of the members on the council. "He'll stay with my son until then."
As he walked away with Naruto, Kakashi stayed on the scene, staring down at Minato.
"I failed you... sensei." he whispered as a single tear rolled down his cheek.
Aaand cut.
Hope you enjoyed this chapter.

Not too sure what will happen in the next chapter. I'm just letting the story go where it takes me.
