Mario was asleep in his room as his phone rings which wakes him up as Mario naked gets out of the bed and walks towards the phone and answers it.
"Hello?" Mario said into the phone.
"Mario, get down to Captain Toad's house right now" Peach's voice said from the phone.
"Why what's wrong?" Mario said into the phone.
"Captain Toad & Toadette have been murdered…" Peach's voice said from the phone as Mario's eyes widen.
"Alright i'll be right down…" Mario said into the phone before hanging up.
Police cars were outside the house the bodies as they put police tape around the house.
"Alright everyone get back, there has been a serious crime here, back up!" a police toad ordered as a car drives towards the house as it stops as a police toad walks up to it to notice Mario & Luigi in the car.
"Good morning Mario & Luigi, please step right on in" the police toad said moving out of the way of the car as it parks up onto the driveway as Mario & Luigi get out of the car and made their way towards the house and enters it to notice Peach sitting down on a couch while hugging a crying Toadsworth and two bodies being covered by blankets.
"Who was the first to discover the bodies?" Mario asked.
"Oh Mario, thank god you showed up, it was Toadsworth who found and reported the bodies first" Peach said.
"It was horrible, i entered the house, and found their bodies dangling by the chandelier" Toadsworth said while upset.
"Did you see who did it?" Mario asked as Toadsworth shook his head.
"Shit, well we better take a look at these bodies then" Mario said before walking towards the bodies and kneels down in front of them and takes them off as Mario's eyes widen as Luigi made a disgusted face and then coughs and ran into the kitchen as he was heard vomiting.
"A slice to the neck, and a stab in the gut, either someone was not happy with these two, or we got a possible serial killer going around in the Mushroom Kingdom" Mario said.
"A serial killer, Mario we never had a serial killer before…" Peach asked.
"I know, but we need to find out who it is before we get killed ourselves, but the big question is, who is this supposed serial killer" Mario said as someone knocking on the glass was heard which startles the group as they notice Yoshi & Birdo outside the glass door.
"Hey relax, it's only us!" Yoshi said.
"Oh fucking hell you two, what are you even doing here?" Mario asked as he opens the glass door letting the duo in.
"We were just wondering what all the police business is, and whoa are those two dead?" Yoshi asked.
"Yep, they been murdered by a possible serial killer, good news he's only killed two so far, and not anyone else, but we have to find him before he kills anyone else" Mario said.
"Well Mario, you dealt with Bowser before, you don't think it's him do you?" Yoshi asked.
"No, Bowser would never kill anyone, not like this" Mario replied.
"Well, this supposed serial killer, or mushroom slasher, if it's ok to call him, or her that, would possibly just be targeting important people, that's what serial killers do right, and my guess would be that, it's attacking people that either you, or Peach knows, and if it started with Captain Toad & Toadette first, then the slasher would most likely go for Toadsworth next" Yoshi said as Toadsworth's eyes widen.
"I don't want to be murdered…" Toadsworth said while whimpering.
"Yoshi how would you even know?" Mario asked.
"I'm just guessing really, just helping out with this serial killer problem, and we better get going now, me and Birdo have a date to catch" Yoshi said before walking off with Birdo.
"Toadsworth you'll have to stay in the castle tonight, you'll be protected there" Mario said to him.
"I normally am the one that's supposed to be guarding Peach, by the tables have really turned this time" Toadsworth said while sniffing.
"Come on, let's get you back to the castle" Peach said as the duo get up and walk out of the house as Mario covers the bodies back up as paramedics take the bodies away as Luigi walks out of the kitchen and wipes the sick off his mouth.
"So what do you plan to do with this slasher?" Luigi asked.
"The slasher may possibly go for Toadsworth next, so i plan to use him to bait, then wait for the slasher to come for him, and then wipe him or her out" Mario replied.
"And if this doesn't work, this will cost Toadsworth his life" Luigi said.
"Yeah i know, but two people are dead, and i don't want anymore people to be killed by him" Mario said before walking off as Luigi follows as the duo walk out of the house.
"Mario, Luigi, Kylie Koopa from Koop News, what do you plan to do with this murder, and will there be more murders yet to occur?" Kylie Koopa asked.
"We don't know yet, but if it does happen, we may possibly have everyone to upgrade their defences, get all of the weapons you possibly have, and defend yourself, because you might be next as the mushroom slasher's target, mushroom slasher if you're watching this, we're coming after you, and will be putting an end to your killing spree, that will be all" Mario said before he and walk off into the car.
"No wait!" Kylie Koopa said.
"You heard what Mario said, now please get back away from the house please!" a police toad ordered as the car Mario & Luigi drives off the drives down the street.
