Wopiee there's gonna be some action in this chapterrrr ;)

Karen woke up in the morning to birds chirping and the warmth of a person close to her made her crawl closer wondering where it was coming from. She was used to sleeping alone for many reasons. After Stan had died she had to get used to sleeping alone, not that they had spent many nights in the same bed before everything. She preferred to sleep alone although she didn't want to. She wanted to be greeted in the morning by the person she loved, to be kissed and cuddled in the large bed tangled in soft silky sheets. Still not fully awake, Karen hummed and smiled as she pressed herself against the slim body that was next to her.

"Good morning.." Karen whispered, not wanting to move from where she was.

She felt two arms wrap around her waist and turn her to her side. Karen's hand rose to this persons hip and she moved her fingers around the bare skin she found there before opening her eyes, greeting the person who was holding her.

"Good morning." Grace said softly before smiling widely.

"What are you smiling about?" Karen asked with a small chuckle while her hand moved to Grace's back with the intention to pull her closer.

"Nothing.. I just love waking up next to you." The redhead said before pushing a strand of Karen's dark hair behind her ear "And I love you.." She continued.

A big smile took over Karen's face and she scooted closer to the other woman. She leaned is closer and just before their lips touched in a soft kiss she whispered back "I love you too."

Their lips moved slowly but passionately. Grace's hand moved up to Karen's cheek and she stroked her thumb across her soft skin. Karen, getting lost in the moment, pushed Grace back and crawled on top of her, her arms coming to rest on each side of Grace's head. All of the sudden Grace pulled back and she had a weird look on her face.

"What are you doing? We need to leave soon." Grace said

"Leave where?" Karen asked, confused by the woman's sudden change of behavior.

"You need to wake up." Grace said.

"Wake up?" She repeated in confusion. They were laying in bed, kissing and then all of the sudden they were supposed to leave somewhere. It didn't make any sense to her.

"Wake up. Wake up. Miss Karen, wake up!"

"I'm up!" Karen screamed sitting up and pushing her eye mask from her eyes.

She immediately looked to her side, not finding Grace there. She closed her eyes and sighed. How could she be so stupid to think that Grace would actually be here with her. Rosario walked to the bed handing her the silky robe she always put on in the mornings. "Another dream?" She asked.

Karen sighed and nodded. "Yes.." She said her voice still hoarse. The first time Rosario had woken her up during her dream she had lied that she had dreamt of Stan, but when the dreams continued and when she was talking in her sleep mentioning Grace's name, she had told her maid what was going on. Rosario had been nothing but supportive, not teasing Karen in any way about her feelings toward Grace.

"Grace called and said she will pick you up in two hours. Do you want your bath this morning?"

"No Rosie, that's fine. I'll just shower and get ready." Karen said stepping into her slippers and walking towards the bathroom. "Are my bags packed yet?" She asked.

"Of course miss Karen." Rosario replied.

"Good.. I don't need you to stay for longer. Go fix me some breakfast." Karen said with a hint of harshness in her usual high pitched voice.

"Yes yes, I'll mix the biggest drink for the biggest bitch." The maid said, leaving her boss' room.

Karen turned the water on in the shower and once it was warm enough she slipped out of her robe and stepped in. She closed her eyes and imagined herself back in that warm bed with the woman she loved. She smiled at Grace, playing with her fingers before kissing her palm gently. She lifted her chin a bit, imagining Grace's soft touch on her skin again, the water now hitting her face. She let out a small chuckle and shook her head. All she wanted was to hold Grace's hand, kiss her, take care of her and make her happy in a way that no one else could. But this will only be possible in my dreams, Karen thought.

What Karen didn't know was that on the other side of the town in apartment 9C, the redhead she was crazy about, was in the shower thinking of her.

Grace had promised to pick Karen up at 12. She wasn't usually a good liar, but somehow she managed to hide her feelings from her assistant she was crazy about. She was too scared to be rejected, and too scared that Karen didn't actually feel the same way, even though she joked about it a lot. She knew that Karen had had sexual experiences with women before (at least if all the things Karen was telling were true) and Grace didn't know how it made her feel. At first she felt more confident to approach her assistant, knowing that she was really into women too, but then she worried she wasn't good enough for her, sexually. And the thought of Karen with other women made Grace mad for some reason. She wanted to be the only one to give Karen happiness and pleasure. Oh.. She was jealous.

Grace's thought were interrupted as there was a knock on the window. It was Karen with Rosario who was holding her bags. Grace let out a small oh before opening the back door. Karen opened the door and climbed in the rental car Grace had arrived with.

"Hey honey." Karen greeted her friend cheerfully.

"Hey." Grace replied with a smile. "Ready to go?" She continued.

Karen closed the door and nodded but Rosario knocked on the window.

"Yeah, just a sec honey." Karen said and rolled the window down.

"Have a good trip miss Karen, and Grace." Rosario said.

"Thank you Rosie." Grace said and smiled at her.

"Are you sure you want to go?" Rosario asked Karen with a lowered voice.

"Yeah honey, I'll be fine." Karen said and smiled at her maid.

They said their goodbyes and took off. Grace had heard what Rosario asked, even though she wasn't probably supposed to hear it, but she did. She kept wondering what she had meant by that. Did Karen not want to come? Was it too much for her to attend a wedding since she was going through her divorce with Stan? No, Karen would've told her if she didn't feel comfortable going with her. Wouldn't she? Grace decided to just let this one go. Karen would tell her, she was sure of it.

They chitchatted most of the five hour drive, mostly about normal things, like work, Will and Jack. Karen had also taken a nap or passed out for a while, Grace wasn't sure. But she had looked over at her friend and smiled. She looked so peaceful and beautiful sleeping. Karen had mumbled something in her sleep but Grace couldn't quite understand what she was saying. And when Karen giggled in her sleep Grace's heart melted. She wanted to be the one who made her laugh like that. What she didn't know that it was her making Karen giggle like a schoolgirl. Karen had dreamed one of her dreams on Grace again.

When they finally reached the hotel, Grace was starving. Sure they had packed some snacks but Grace had the appetite of a horse, even if she had just eaten. So when they got inside with their bags Grace ran off somewhere trying to find food. Karen chuckled slightly and stepped over to the counter.

"Hello. We had a room, under the name of Grace Adler." She spoke out.

"Alright, let me see." The receptionist said with a smile. "Yes, here it is. Grace Adler and Karen Walker, in the room 503, the romantic suite."

Karen froze. She was pretty sure they weren't supposed to be in a romantic room. But what if. What if Grace had planned this. They were at a wedding, which are typically a romantic event for everyone included.

"Ma'am?"

No it couldn't be it. Karen was delusional. But if it was, Karen didn't want to change it.

Karen lifted her gaze back to the receptionist and nodded.

"Is there a problem? This room is reserved only for married couples, so unless that is not the case-"

"Oh no, I was just.. Well, we have been thinking about changing my name to hers, so hearing my own name sounded a bit funny." Karen said and smiled.

Now Grace was back, with no food and she wasn't happy about that.

"Ugh there's no damn food anywhere." She said and walked next to Karen.

"The room service will be available to you 24 hours. Here's the list." The man behind the desk said handing the menu.

"Room service? I didn't know we had a room that-" Grace started but was interrupted by Karen who took her hand.

"We have the romantic room, remember?" Karen said, giving Grace a smile. Grace shook her head a bit in disbelief. "Because we're married." Karen said and swung their hands. The receptionist looked at Grace with a suspicious look. Karen only smiled at Grace, moving her eyes back and forth between her and the receptionist.

"Oh the romantic room!" Grace said, finally getting the hang of Karen's idea. "Oh yes, I completely forgot because we're newly weds." Grace said, looking at Karen with a soft smile.

The man gave them one last suspicious look before he handed them the key to the room. "Here you go, enjoy your stay." He said and gave them a quick smile.

They both thanked him, took their bags and headed towards the elevator. While waiting, Grace grabbed Karen's hand again and pressed a soft kiss on it. Karen smiled and her heart melted. It was just like in her dream. The soft touch of her soft lips on her skin felt amazing. Karen mirrored Grace's actions and the redhead smiled back at the woman. Once they got inside the elevator, they both burst out into a laugh.

"Wow Karen. I don't know how you just did that but thanks! I can't wait for the 24/7 room service." Grace giggled. "We should tell people more often that we're couple, that way we can get nice benefits."

Karen only smirked. "Hah, you're right there honey."

In Grace's mind the nice benefits weren't about food and nice service. It was about holding Karen's hand or kissing her in front of everyone, showing her love for her. Karen's thoughts were parallel to Grace's. She wanted nothing more than to rise on her tiptoes and press a kiss on the other woman's lips. It was a shame they were both too scared to show their true feelings towards one another.

Once the women got to their room they had been amazed with everything. The room was huge, beautiful, decorated with roses and candles. And there was champagne, a lot of it. They had opened a bottle while getting ready for the party. They had drank, laughed, helped each other with their outfits and hair. They had opened another bottle before they left the room and Grace was already way past tipsy. Karen on the other hand was just tipsy, being used to drinking a lot.

As they waited for the elevator to hit the lobby Karen grabbed Grace's wrist.

"Okat Gracie, remember, we're supposed to be married. So if anyone asks-"

"Yes, we got married a few weeks ago, it was a tiny ceremony but we'll have a celebration later yeah yeah.." Grace said.

Karen sighed. Grace wasn't too drunk, but Karen was afraid she would ramble the truth to someone.

"Don't worry, wife." Grace said as the elevator doors opened "this won't be a difficult task." She said and pressed her lips softly on Karen's.

The kiss was soft and quick, far too quick for Karen's liking. It didn't give Karen time to answer the kiss, pull the other woman close to her body and hold her. But as they stepped out of the elevator Karen was happy that they didn't take it further. The lobby was filled with people, other guests for the wedding. The women held their hands together and stepped to the side. They mingled with some other couples, exchanging small stories.

"Grace, is that you?" A woman not far from them asked.

"Oh my God Stephanie!" Grace exclaimed. She tucked Karen close to her and they approached the woman with a man.

"I heard you got the invitation late, I wasn't sure you'd make it." The blond women said coming to hug Grace. "Oh and who's this?" She said, looking at Karen, smiling.

"Oh how rude of me." Grace said clearing her throat. "Stephanie this is my wife Karen, Karen this is Stephanie Emily's sister. I decorated her house, remember?"

The two women shook hands. "Oh I do remember. Grace showed me some sketches, it was beautiful." Karen said. She hadn't actually seen the sketches, but she was sure it was beautiful.

"Yes, nice to meet you. Oh and here's my husband Luke." Stephanie said, pulling her husband from her side and they all shook hands.

"I didn't know you were married." Luke said to Grace. "Last time we met, you were single." He said.

"Oh yes, well.. I hadn't met this beautiful woman back then." Grace said, leaning down once again, pressing her lips softly on Karen's.

This time the kiss laster for longer, not that long that it made the other couple uncomfortable, but it was long enough for Karen to reply to the kiss. The sensation of their lips touching was indescribable. Goosebumps ran all over her body, her lips tasting the sweet lipgloss from Grace's lips. The kiss didn't last no more than a few seconds but it felt like an eternity.

Karen smiled and opened her eyes. She felt Grace's head lean on hers. "Yeah, we had a small ceremony not too long ago, just a few friends and family members." Karen said.

"That sounds amazing. So.. who proposed and how'd it all go?" Stephanie asked.

Karen and Grace looked at each other. They hadn't really discussed about it. "Uh could you excuse us for just a minute.." Grace said with a small smile, pulling Karen aside. "We didn't talk about this Karen." Grace said with panic in her voice.

"It's okay, don't worry about it. We'll just head towards the bar counter and don't see them again." Karen said, shrugging her shoulders.

Grace smiled and took Karen's hand. "Alright, wifey." She said with a smile.

They took a few drinks at the bar, talked to a few other guests before the real party started. There was music and dancing. After two hours of dancing the dance floor was about to close, but there were still a few slow songs playing. Karen hands rested on Grace's back and the pretty drunk Grace's were crossed on Karen's back, hanging close her behind. They stayed together their heads side by side, eyes closed, just enjoying each other. There were a few other couples on the dance floor, other guests sitting at their tables and some had already left since it was already way past midnight.

Karen's hand moved on Grace's back, slipping into her curly hair, twirling it around her finger. Grace noticed this and hummed in satisfaction. She smiled and turned her head to Karen. She breathed in her scent and hummed again.

"Karen.." Grace whispered.

"Mhm.." Karen replied, swaying them slowly around.

"Take me to our room." Grace whispered pulling back from Karen, looking deep into her eyes.

Karen took a deep breath and nodded. She took Grace's hand and started walking them across the dark room, towards the lobby. Everything seemed to go by so fast. The walk to the elevator and the ride up. When they finally got to the door, Karen reached in her purse for the key, but she was distracted from her actions, when she felt two hands running up and down on her hips. Karen took a sharp breath and her body tingled as she felt fingers running on her stomach over the thin fabric of her dress. Nothing had ever felt this good and Karen leaned her head back. Karen closed her eyes and let the hands turn her body her back now facing the door. She bit her lips together and slowly opened her eyes finding Grace looking at her with soft eyes. The redheads hands ran on the shorter woman's sides before they rose to her bare arms.

"I want you Karen." Grace whispered, lifting her arms to Karen's cheeks, before pressing her lips on hers. Karen let herself enjoy this moment and she answered the kiss. Her hands wrapped around the redheads body and she pulled her closer. Their lips moved passionately together, their mouths opening, tongues joining the action. To anyone who would have seen them, the scene would have looked like two high school teens drunkenly making out, but for them it was much more. The event released all the sexual tension that had ever been between them. In this moment they didn't need to make anyone believe they were a couple. They simply let go of everything.

"Grace.." Karen breathed out between the kisses. "The door.. Inside." She managed to say before Grace pulled back.

"Alright.. But hurry" Grace breathed in her neck.

Karen turned around quickly and finally got the door open even though it was hard for her to focus sinceGrace's hands roamed all over her body.

Karen pushed the door open, dragging Grace in behind her. She kicked the door closed before spinning Grace around so now they faced each other again. She cupped the redheads cheeks before pulling her into a heated kiss. Their lips moved together as they headed towards the gigantic bed. Grace's legs hit the edge of the bed and they fell down on the soft sheets. Their hands roamed each others bodies, skin touching skin.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" Grace asked as their lips parted only for a second. They kept their eyes closed, their noses touching.

"Yes.." Karen whispered. "But just give me a sec?"

"Of course, but don't be long." Grace said with a sultry voice.

Karen smirked and gave the other woman a quick peek on the lips. Karen rose from the bed walking to the bathroom. She looked herself in the mirror and breathed heavily. Okay Karen, the woman you love is in the other room, go in there! She wants you! Karen took a look at herself again. No, this wasn't right. They were both piss drunk and she couldn't do this without knowing Grace was actually okay with it. Karen closed her eyes and looked at the door. She needed to walk out of there and tell Grace that she couldn't do this, not now, not like this. She took a deep breath before opening the door. She walked to the bed, finding something totally different to what she was expecting.

Grace laid on the bed passed out and Karen saw that she had tried to get out of her dress. Karen smiled a bit, being relieved that she didn't have to tell Grace the news. Karen walked to the bed, poking Grace a bit. When she didn't respond Karen was sure she wouldn't wake up. Karen couldn't let Grace sleep in that awfully tight dress, so she helped her friend get out of it. Karen walked over to Grace bag, grabbing her pajamas and putting them on her friend. After Karen had washed of her make up, gotten out of her dress she joined Grace in the bed.

She reached for the lamp beside the bed and turned it off. She crawled under the covers, looking over at Grace. She inched closer and pressed her lips gently on her cheek.

"Good night Gracie."
