~Chapter 2~
The sun was shining brightly into Jay's eyes as he awoke. He squinted his eyes, and brought his right arm up onto his forehead in an attempt to block the light. He groaned groggily and slowly climbed out of the bed. Hand still held over his eyes, he made his way towards the window and pulled the shutters closes clumsily with his non dominant hand, stumbling back to bed when he was done.
The boys room consisted of two bunk beds; one held Jay and Zane, the other held Kai and Jay; and a small twin sized bed for the one and only green ninja. The bed rattled as Jay slumped down on the bottom bunk, arousing the robot above him. Zane sat up intensity with a small yawn.
"Good morning, brothers."
The red, black, and green ninja groaned loudly as the stretched and sat up in protest.
"I don't wanna get up..." Lloyd mumbled as if he was still a little kid.
"Oh, I'm sorry." Zane said, studying the tired faces of his four brothers. "Did I wake you?"
"YES!" They all cried together. Zane pouted his lip slightly in confusion before continuing to get up, much faster then the still half-asleep ninja.
"What's for breakfast...?" Jay asked tiredly as he stumbled into the kitchen.
"We don't know." Cole answered. "No one's cooked yet."
"What!?" Jay screeched. "Why, when I found out which one of you-"
"It was Nya's turn to cook." Kai mumbled.
Jay's face turned a bright scarlet. "Oh... Well, I'm sure she had a perfectly good reason to sleep in." Kai and Cole rolled their eyes, while Lloyd simply smirked at his uncle. "So..." Jay spoke once again. "Where is Nya?"
The ninja all looked at each other. "Don't know." Kai answered. "Zane's cooking, now, so... Nya must still sleeping."
"I'll get her..." Jay said, getting up. Kai zipped out of his chair and pushed Jay back into his faster than Sonic on a sugar rush.
"Like hell you will. I'll get her. You will stay right here."
"Why can't I get her?" Jay asked.
"Dude!" Kai raised his voice, turning with a warning look on his face. "I don't want you in my sister's room while she's in her Pjs!Do you know what she wears to bed!?"
"No?"
"Good!" Kai roared, pointing a finger at a very pink-faced blue ninja. He then turned on his heel and went to get his sister. Jay turned around to face his family in his seat, still a bit flustered.
"So Jay? What do you think Nya wears to bed?" Cole pried. Jay's face darkened by three shades and grabbed for something to chuck at Cole. The first thing he reached, being a muffin, Cole definitely got his daily carb load... Sensei Wu scolded Jay as Cole wiped the dough and blueberries from his face, trying to ignore a chuckling Lloyd. The funny scene was interrupted, however, by a very distraught Kai.
"Guys!" Kai yelled, getting their attention. "Nya's not in her room." The ninja and Wu blinked.
"So where is she?" Cole asked.
"I don't know, but she's not on the bounty!"
Jay began to get worried as well. Nya never missed her turn to make breakfast. She would either have to be sick, or kidnapped. And if she was sick she'd be in her bed so...
"OH MY GOD! SHE"S BEEN KIDNAPPED!" Jay cried, freaking Kai out.
"What do you mean?" Kai asked. "Did you see her get kidnapped?"
"No!" Jay's eyes widened. Kai looked very desperate. "I just saw her disappearing when we were returning from the past!" He shouted before clamping a hand over his mouth. How did he remember that? Though, now that he said it, it did seem to come back to him.
"Yeah..." Cole spoke up. "I think... I think I saw that too."
Kai racked his brain to remember that he couldn't.
"Wait, you saw her disappear?" Sensei Wu asked.
"Yes." Jay and Cole answered at the same time.
"And what exactly happened?"
"Well," Jay started. "The weapons were disappearing and then I heard Kai call out 'Nya! What's happening?' and then we woke up and Nya wasn't there." Jay finished.
"And is that what you remember, Cole?"
"Yes Sensei." Cole answered immediately. "Although, when we were training Lloyd, Nya was holding a watermelon and when we came back, the watermelon was the only thing there."
"Oh dear..." Wu mumbled, worried out of his mind for the poor girl, lost in time.
Dun dun dun! Unfortunately I'm going to keep you guys in suspense for a while. As much as I like this idea of mine, I really want to work on some of my other stuff and I have two friends who created accounts that I'm helping edit and plot a bit. So, I'm putting this on haitus (sort of). I might update here and there if I'm in the mood to write this... I'm sorry followers. Please no flames...
