Everything was still progressing as normally as it could when one found himself with a toddler version of the person they had crushed on for years. Such was the life of Lie Ren as he held a confused baby Nora. The young girl still had yet to grasp the concept that she was the one not in the right body, constantly asking why he was so tall, and where his dagger was. Jaune and Pyrrha had little they could do to help, as both had little to no experience explaining things to toddlers, despite Jaune being the middle child.

This led to a series of missed attempts to explain anything about the situation. From Pyrrha trying using sweets to tell small amounts at a time, failing only because normal sugared up Nora was bad, but add young to that and it was a recipe for disaster. Jaune, on the other hand, tried telling everything in bulk, also failing because a child, even one who had seen as much as Nora had up to that point, could not comprehend everything at once.

At last, Ren thought to explain it in a very Nora sort of way. This was, of course, through overexaggerating and leaving out small things, such as her fascination with sloths during initiation. Next came the biggest issue, explaining it to Headmaster Ozpin.

When the quartet made it to the tower, the three older teens had sat through twelve long minutes of "Where are we going?" and "Why are we going there?" Luckily the wait proper was short, being a Monday not many were there after all. When they arrived at the top, Professor Goodwitch was quick to notice the odd one out and herded them away from any cameras that could be hacked.

Ozpin was surprised but not confused at the flame-haired brawlers' child-like state. "It's an odd condition, not much is known about it and it has no name. This," he said, gesturing to Nora "is one of the possible side effects, but luckily for you all, lasts only one week."

Assuming Ren could watch her one day, Jaune the next, then Pyrrha, then team RWBY in whatever order they thought would work best, each person would miss one day of classes, but it wouldn't be too much of a hassle if it was well coordinated. Thus, Ruby and Jaune met up to discuss just that. In the end, the agreed upon schedule was Weiss, then Jaune, Blake, Pyrrha, Ruby, Yang, and last but not least Ren.
