I haven't update in a while, in which I am sorry… Kind of… I'm sick but I made a build a bear with my cousin so I feel much better. Oh yeah, High School students making a stuffed bear. MINE SMELLS LIKE STRAWBERRIES! Anyways, I've been having writers block and I didn't know any good lyrics. I finally got Foster the People's new album and I seriously am addicted. Also to the song "Booty Swing" by Parov Stellar, awesome song.
Anyways, I do not own the song or Soul Eater!

"Is this the life you've been waiting for?
You're hoping that you'll be where you want with a little more."
-"Ask Yourself" by Foster the People
…
Soul started his day like every other day, going to Death Bucks to stare at the coffee girl.
He knew it sounded sad but he couldn't control it. One day he walked in and she would be there, her hair in cute pigtails and her uniform showing off her curves. He's a man after all.
Soul would walk in and she would smile at him, saying she would get the usual for him. He would sit in the back near the giant window, writing down music notes for a song he would be working on for his Music Major for the DWMA.
It was the usual. He would wake up late because he's an ass, get changed into sweats instead of his dress shirt and dress pants because he's an ass, go to Death Bucks and stare at the coffee girl because he's an ass. No matter what, he was an ass. His mom said it; his father said it, his neighbor who looked like she could be part cat made him feel like an ass.
He was even too scared to look at her name tag because he knew he would stare at her chest, which he didn't want to do. He obviously did but he didn't want to creep her out. People were already creeped by his unusual crimson red eyes, which had dark circles because he would stay up until three in the morning, and his messy white hair that he would hardly brush because it wasn't worth it.
Although girls would swoon over him, he just didn't care. Honestly, he didn't know how he didn't even have depression. He didn't care about anything. He didn't care that his neighbor would invite herself in his apartment and make out with him because she was bored. He didn't fight her; he didn't care what happened to him.
But, he still would go to Death Bucks to see her. He would get nervous around her and it would be hard for him to talk. He wouldn't open his mouth that much to talk because he hated how his teeth were a little pointier than other people. The only teeth that were straight were his top four and bottom four teeth that rested in the center of his gums. He wished he would dress better than wearing his batman pajama pants and a "DWMA College" sweatshirt that his principle gave him.
She would just giggle at his shyness and go to make his mocha espresso.
That was until one day she started a conversation with him.
"You know, you come here every day and I don't even know your name." She said to him. He looked up from his IPhone; startled.
"Oh really?" His frantic eyes looked back at his phone.
She turned her back and started to make his coffee. "Well, I'm Maka."
"S-Soul…"
She had whipped her head back to him with big eyes. He just stared into her emerald eyes while fighting to make a nervous expression. "That's a really cool name. Wish my father had a better name for me." She poured the liquid into a shaker and started to shake the drink.
"You're name isn't bad." He stated, putting his phone in his pocket.
"Yeah, well I also don't cool like you. Don't see Albino's coming in here ever." Maka smiled while pouring his drink back into the cup, turning around to grab the whipped cream. He only nodded. She blushed and looked into his crimson eyes, smiling. "So I see you go to the DWMA."
"Yeah."
"What major are you taking?" Maka sprayed the whipped cream on his drink while lightly biting her tongue in concentration.
"Uh, Music." He looked at his drink awkwardly while scratching the side of his head.
"That's cool, you play an instrument?" She placed a red and white striped straw in his drink.
"I guess." He swallowed.
"What instrument?" Maka placed a cherry on top of the whipped cream and grabbed a cover, pressing it on the cup.
"Piano."
"I don't get music so I would probably fail at playing any instrument." She laughed at herself. She handed him the drink and turned around, grabbing a plate and tongs.
He nodded and stared at her butt, he then looked back down at the floor with big eyes. "What major are you in?"
"Anthropology." He was blown away from how smart she was. He never paid attention in class so he had no idea what that was. "It's really easy for me and I like all my classmates. Just hope I could get a better job than serving coffee." She turned around and handed him a slice of cake.
He questionably looked at the food and gave a confused look. "I only ordered the coffee."
"It's on the house." She smiled. "You're coffee is $5.64."
Soul handed her a twenty dollar bill and told her to keep the change. He walked to his usual spot and sat down, slouching and resting his elbows on the table while eating the amazing chocolate cake. He made a mental note to order a whole cake when he comes here.
The next day he walked in and wore a plane captain America shirt with black shorts that rested just below his knees. He couldn't leave the house without his converse and Aviators. Today was Saturday. He fucking loved Saturday. It was his cheat day. Not to sound like a girl or anything, but he would eat three tubs of ice cream and drink two cans of each soda he could think of if he was allowed to. He wasn't allowed anymore because he would pass out from the amount of crap he would eat and his friend Black*Star would make fun of him… And the building owner would yell at him because would be too lazy to clean up his mess. Neighbors would complain about the smell coming from his apartment.
He walked to the counter and saw that Maka wasn't there today. A girl named Patty was in her place.
"Hi!" She said, her blue eyes big and her cheeks red.
"Hi. Could I have a whole chocolate cake and a peppermint milkshake?" He took out his wallet and bit down on his bottom lip while taking out a fifty.
"Oh. Is it someone's birthday today?" She asked, turning around to make the milkshake.
"No, It's all for me." He replied blankly.
Patty giggled while grabbing the tub of ice cream. "I like you already." Soul just smirked while taking out his IPhone, checking his e-mail and messages. He combed his bangs with his fingers and patiently waited. Patty turned around while the milkshake was being mixed. "Let me just go into the back and get your chocolate cake. I doubt we have a whole one out in the pantry." She skipped off into the back, her short blonde hair swishing.
He sighed and took off his sunglasses, hooking it onto his t-shirt pocket. Soul scratched his chin and lazily looked around the coffee shop, only to stop and look at who was in his usual spot. Maka was staring at him while sitting in his seat, sipping his usual coffee. She waved and he slowly waved at her nervously. Soul gulped when Patty came back with the cake. She had trouble holding it and huffed when she placed it onto the counter.
"Phew…" Patty wiped her forehead with her hand while placing a cover on his milkshake. She gave him a boring black straw and stood at the cash register. "Ok, you're total is $53.98." Soul groaned and handed her a fifty and a five. She gladly gave him the five back and said the fifty was ok. Soul quickly thanked her and heaved up the giant cake, the milkshake being held in his armpit.
Soul staggered to his normal spot and let out a loud sigh when he placed the cake on the table. He sat down and looked at Maka. She only laughed at him. "You must be really hungry."
He only replied with "It's my cheat day."
Maka sighed and grabbed her drink again, taking a long sip. She wore her college sweatshirt and pajama pants. Same thing he wore yesterday. Soul lifted an eyebrow as he started to sip his way too thick milkshake. Maka stared at him and then she nervously looked down at her lap, cheeks stained red. After a minute of awkward sipping, she put her drink down and smiled at him. "I asked to have the day off today."
Soul put his halfway finished milkshake down and nodded, grabbed a fork, about to dig into the amazing cake. He immediately straightened his back and placed the fork down, awkwardly looking down at the table.
She placed a hand on the side of her head and sighed. She grabbed a fork and took a piece of his cake, eating it without a care. Soul stared at her awkwardly, not knowing what to say. She quickly shut down the silence when she licked her top lip, which gave Soul shivers. "So, what's your full name?"
"Soul Eater Evans." He said, biting his bottom lip. He took his fork and went to get some of the cake. "Yours?"
Maka held her coffee with both hands. "Maka Albarn." She stated and looked at him, her pigtails hanging limp from the sides of her head.
"I had your dad as a sub once." Soul said as he sat up straight, taking the lid off his milkshake and grabbing a spoon for the thick milkshake.
"Yeah, he probably taught really badly." She snorted, rolling her eyes.
"I called him an ass and he failed me for the day. Stupid asshole only did roll-call for the girls."
"Of course he did. At least you understand him the way I do." She grinned, taking another forkful of cake. She licked the icing off her finger, which gave Soul shivers. He oddly felt comfortable around her, yet really uncomfortable too.
"He broke the piano at school just by looking at it. He had a heart attack on the spot." Maka started to laugh and blush when he smirked, licking the cream off the spoon. She was even redder as she watched him enjoy his milkshake.
And by the end of the day, he knew she was head over heels for him.
…
I know this was a little short, but I didn't know how to really finish it. Curse you writer's block. And holy shiz, almost been a year! I'm so sorry!
