Chapter 2

'Potter.'

'Malfoy... what do you want?'

Draco Malfoy had a certain vulnerability about him as he stood there in front of me.
'I wanted to thank you for all that you've done for me and my family. I know that it wasn't easy for you.'

I looked at him again. He seemed to have changed a lot since I saw him last, two months ago when It happened.

The Malfoy trial had been earlier today. He and his family had been let of easily because of my testimony. I'd also testified on Snape's behalf.

And it seemed Malfoy wasn't finished yet.

'I owe you my life and my freedom, I'm willing to do a lot to If that appeases you. I am indebted to you.'

'I don't need you for anything, Malfoy.' I said to him.

'Off course not,' he replied.

'You know,' he continued less stiff. 'I'm sorry for all the things I said and did to you and your friends. So call or owl me any time you need anything.'

'Sure Malfoy, thanks I appreciate it.'

I didn't think I'd ever contact him. Ever

As it turns out I was really quite wrong.
