Lucy woke up to an warm bed, her body prickling in the sensation of being poked all over.
Hard.
"Mmm..." she groaned, and peered blearily through sleep-laced eyes, "What is it, Natsu..."
The salmon-haired dragon slayer of her affections looked down at her cheekily. "Luce."
She sat up and rubbed her eyes. "What..."
"I'm going out." he told her.
She sank back against the sheets and pouted,"Again?"
"I'll be back soon. Promise."
Lucy frowned. "Fine. And Natsu?"
He had already leapt from the bed, and climbed onto the windowsill.
"C...choto! Use the—"
And Natsu, like always, jumped eagerly out of the window before she could finish her sentence.
"...door." Lucy looked at the rapidly disappearing figure, and sighed. "Jeez. You never learn, do you?"
JELLAL
He walked down the path to Fairy Tail whistling cheerfully, before pulling open the huge doors.
Inside, as always, the guild was busy partying, and it never ceased to amaze him how they could continue their merry-making no matter the mood.
"Everyone! Erza is going to be released today!" he smiled to the forever-boisterous crowd.
Her guild whooped with joy, and Jellal couldn't help but laugh.
"Mira! More beer! Beer!" Cana yelled to the white-haired Mage.
"Coming~" Mirajane smiled.
He turned to leave when he heard a astonished voice.
"Really?"
He looked at the blonde who had came in a minute before. "Yup."
Lucy sighed in relief, "That's good. I was beginning to get worried."
"She's fine now." Jellal smiled, "By the way, I'm going to visit her now. Do you want to come along?"
"Sure!"
Well, Jellal decided, even though he had never gotten to know the stellar Mage personally, she was fun to talk to.
"We're here." Jellal lead her into the huge white building. They filed up the stairs and to Erza's room.
He pulled open the door.
And stopped.
LUCY
She bumped rather roughly onto Jellal, who stood motionless at the door.
"Jellal?"
He didn't move.
"Jellal, what's going on?" she gently pulled him aside to look into the room.
Her eyes landed on a scene that she never would have expected, nor wanted to see.
On the bed, Erza and Natsu were kissing passionately.
Unaware of their audience, Erza pulled Natsu and straddled him.
And all at once, she felt like her heart had been shattered, stepped on, ripped and thrown back at her, all at the same time.
Lucy couldn't find her voice. There was a horribly freezing feeling in the pit of her stomach.
"N...Natsu?"she whispered, sounding so vulnerably small.
