Sting was currently heading to Lucy's house. He was happy that Lucy had invited him to her house for dinner. He knew she cooked well because she always brought snacks in school. He was feeling really excited on seeing her message, he couldn't figure why.

"Why am I so excited about this thing? Mom also made a big deal out of this..." Sting thought to himself.

Flashback-

"Oh Lucy-chan has invited you for dinner at her place? That's so sweet of her! What a dear! Are you going?" his mom asked excitedly. "Yeah," he replied and his face turned into a comical expression when his mom squealed like a little girl.

"Tell me all the details okay? I have some sweets I'll pack 'em for you and you gift it to her okay? And buy some flowers too! Girls love presents!" she said excitedly.

"What the hell! Why are you so excited?!" he yelled.

"Ho ho I know everything young man! Don't deny it!" said his mom proudly.

"Don't deny what?" Sting questioned innocently.

"Ugh, are you dumb or what? That you love her of course!" she said face-palming. On hearing that he blushed madly. "What...what! WHAT DID YOU SAY!?" Sting yelled. "I don't LOVE her!" Sting protested blushing.

"Shuddap. I know you do! Look you are even blushing!" she teased.

"No I'm not!" he replied covering his face.

"Fine I'll tell her that you don't like her next time she comes here," she said with a straight face.

"Wh-what? NO! That's not true! I do like her!" Sting yelled.

"You do?" she asked raising a brow.

"Yeah! Well she's sweet, cute and really reliable and annoying too...but she's really nice," Sting smiled.

"Hehehe...someone's in love~!" his mom teased whistling.

"THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEANT!" he yelled, at the top of his voice.

-End of Flashback

"I can't stop thinking about her now-a-days," he thought. Suddenly, he stopped in his tracks in shock.

"WAIT! What is this feeling?"

"This is totally weird!"

"This has happened before too!"

"UGH I'm forgetting something, but I cant remember." Sting thought out loud, scratched his head and continued walking to Lucy's house. Soon he was in front of her house. He rang the bell once, but no reply came. He became slightly impatient.

He rang it the second time, no reply. Now he was hoping that she wasn't lying or pranking with him. He rang it the third time, 3 times in a row. His sharp ears heard Lucy's voice saying,"I said I'm coming!"

He smirked in satisfaction now. The door flung open and his eyes widened in disbelief.

"S-Sting!" Lucy blurted out. Her heart was beating so loudly that maybe he could hear it. She was definitely as red as a tomato. He was wearing a plain black 'V' neck full sleeved shirt and denim blue jeans. "Oh my gosh, he's looking so hot...that spiky blond hair, those blue eyes, that scar over his eye...STOP IT LUCY, STOP IT! Stop checking him out! It's not like I'm seeing him for the first time! After I've started liking him how is it that I am noticing him so much!? Stupid Lucy!"

"WHAT THE HELL!" Sting mentally yelled blushing madly looking at Lucy dressed only in a bathrobe. He quickly shoved the bag he was holding in front of Lucy before she could see his blushing face.

"H-Hey Lucy! I'm sorry I came a bit earlier than decided! My m-mom gave this to me and told me to give it to you..." Sting said.

Lucy took the package from him and looked at it. "What is this?" she asked.

"Its some c-cake and cookies she b-baked..."

"That's so sweet of her! Thanks! Please come in! It must be cold outside!" Lucy said smiling, her cheeks pink in color.

"Y-Yeah..." Sting said entering inside. She walked to the living room, with Sting following her closely. "Please make yourself comfortable! I'll be back in a bit," Lucy said and rushed to her bedroom. "Sure..." Sting said after she rushed off looking around.

"Gosh what was wrong with me there!? Stupid Lucy!" Lucy muttered, punching her head softy.

"Sorry to make you wait..." Lucy said entering the living room. Sting who was reading a magazine looked up at her and smiled. She was wearing a baby pink dress with puffed sleeves, which ended in yellow ruffles a little above her knees. She left her hair open as it was wet. She didn't want Sting to wait long so she didn't dry her hair.

"You're looking cute," Sting said grinning.

"T-thanks!" Lucy smiled, blushing. "Lucy you idiot! Why do you stutter!? Gosh I hate this!" she thought to herself angrily.

"What were you reading?" Lucy asked eyeing the magazine.

"Nothing..." Sting said and quickly placed the magazine back on the rack. She shrugged, "Shall we eat dinner?"

"Yeah sure!" Sting replied grinning like an idiot. He ran-walked to the kitchen with a giggling Lucy following him.

"Oh my gosh Lucy! I love this food! You cook so well!" Sting said in between of his continuous eating.

"Don't flatter me..." Lucy said eating her food slowly with manners.

"No way! You're amazing! You must invite me more frequently!" Sting said eating like a pig.

"Y-yeah..." Lucy sweat dropped. "Well at least she isn't acting cocky!" she smiled to herself.

"Man I would love to have a wife who cooks food like this for me! Hey 2-3 years after graduation maybe we can hook up together!" Sting blurted out, his concentration still on the food.

Lucy on the other hand almost choked on her food and her jaw dropped.

"Whaaaat!? What the-? What does he mean by that? How could he have even said something like that! How can he be so insensitive! Wait, does that mean he's interested in me? Oh my gosh I wasn't prepared for anything like this! What should I do? What should I do?" Lucy thought to herself, blushing furiously. Sting was still oblivious, eating like no tomorrow.

"This is the correct time to confess! OKAY YES. You can do this Lucy! You can do this! YOU CAN DO THIS! Keep calm and confess. Don't worry Lucy. YES, OKAY!" Lucy kept chanting positive thoughts in her mind.

"Um...Lucy are you okay?" Sting asked who had stopped eating now, looking at her weirdly.

"Ah, what? Uh, yeah I'm okay, I'm okay!" Lucy said snapping out of her thoughts.

"Oh...okay then!" Sting said and resumed his eating.

"Um...Sting...?"

"Yeah?"

"I-I...want to...tell you...something..." Lucy started blushing like crazy.

"What is it?" Sting said still eating not really paying attention to her.

"This guy..." Lucy said looking at his with slant eyes and a tick appeared on her head. She gritted her teeth angrily at his behavior. Here she was feeling so nervous and serious, and there he was so carefree and enjoying. Lucy stood up angrily from her chair and banged her hands on the table at which the plates and bowls shook and stopped his hand which was holding the spoon to his mouth.

"I'M TRYING TO SAY SOMETHING IDIOT!" Lucy yelled at him.

"Wh-what?" Sting said, sweating at her yelling.

"Say it Lucy, say it. I like you." Lucy thought to herself.

"I HATE YOU!" Lucy yelled. "WHAT ARE YOU SAYING LUCY!? HAVE YOU GONE CRAZY!?"

"Wh-why?" Sting asked surprised. In utter surprise and shock he dropped the bowl of rice on the table he was holding and the rice fell all over the table. Lucy's expression suddenly softened and she stretched out her hand to pick up the bowl and at the same time Sting stretched his hand. It so happened that Sting placed his hand over Lucy's.

Both of them froze and looked at each other wide-eyed. Lucy quickly withdrew her hand blushing madly.

"No...that's not what I meant...! Uh, actually...well..."

"I'm sorry! I wasn't paying attention...What did you want to tell me?" Sting asked her. Lucy simply shut her eyes, not able to look at him in the eye. "I-I...I..." she started. "What the hell Lucy stop saying 'I, I!' Just tell him what's taking you so long!" Lucy thought.

"I li-"

"What are you doing here?"

Lucy shrieked at the sudden voice. "F-Father!" Lucy blurted out, wide-eyed. There was her father standing by the kitchen door, glaring at Sting.

Yes, Jude Heartfilia hated Sting Eucliffe. He had met Sting first at Lucy's birthday party, where Cana brought alcoholic drinks with her (who knows why) and got Sting drunk for a dare and Sting in his drunk state always flew over Lucy and clung to her like a baby. Jude thought he was like that in nature and took and immediate hatred to him. He shuddered at the memory of the birthday party.

"Ya look awesome today babes," a drunk Sting said looking at Lucy from top to bottom. Jude immediately called off the party then as he didn't want anything more to happen. Since then, Jude has been cautious whenever Lucy hangs out with Sting. He even found Sting very cocky and totally bad influence to his pure, precious daughter. On the other hand, Layla, Lucy's mother thought Sting was very sweet and kind boy. She would always tease Lucy with Sting which Jude didn't like AT ALL.

Coming back to the present, Jude simply hates Sting Eucliffe. There he was, his head poking into the kitchen door and glaring at Sting.

"What are you doing here?" Jude growled again, glaring as hard as he could at Sting and emitting a dark aura.

"Uh g-good e-e-evening Uncle J-J-Jude!" Sting stuttered shivering a little under the elder man's glare.

"What are you doing here Dad? I thought you had work!" Lucy huffed standing in between Sting and her dad to block the glare.

"Yeah, I do have work...but I had to collect some files and documents..." Jude replied, eyeing Sting from over her shoulder.

"Oh is that so? Is Mom here too?" Lucy asked.

"No...only me..." Jude said.

"Oh...ok then take your documents and shoo, shoo!" Lucy said pushing her dad outside the kitchen. Once inside their study room Jude asked stubbornly, "What is he doing here?"

"Uh...um...well...yeah! I was alone and scared, so I called Sting!" Lucy made up a reason.

"You could have told us dear! We could have done some adjustments and come back for you! You didn't need to call him!" Jude growled at the end.

"No, no its alright~! I'll send him away after dinner okay? Don't worry about me." Lucy said sweating dropping.

"Leave you with Sting Eucliffe? NO WAY. I'm staying here for dinner alright? That jackass. Why didn't you call anyone else?" Jude asked.

"Uhmm like who?"

"Like Erza! Isn't she your best friend? I've heard she's a black belt in karate! Why didn't you call her for a sleepover?"

"Uh...she was busy!"

"Mirajane?"

"She's...um gone out of town!"

"Levy?"

"She had work to do!"

After suggesting almost all the girls from her class and Lucy making up a thousand reasons, he finally gave in but insisted to stay for dinner. Jude sat beside Lucy and they all continued their supper. Sting now ate slowly with manners, sweating as he felt Lucy's Dad stare at him like forever. Awkward silence filled the room.

"So Sting Eucliffe..." Jude started. Sting tensed up a little and stopped eating.

"Yes Uncle-?"

"Call me Sir." Jude said making an indifferent face.

"Yes Sir?" Sting immediately replied. Lucy mentally face palmed.

"How's school?" he asked.

"It's fun...?" Sting said nervously but made it sound more like a question.

"Studies going alright?"

"Yes sir..."

"What are your grades?"

"He's got A in all subjects Dad! And he's even in top 10! He's one of the most popular guys in our school and he's the star foot ball player!" Lucy grinned nervously. Sting gave her a toothy grin at which Lucy blushed.

"Oh! I'm impressed Eucliffe! You're not half bad as I thought!" Jude said smirking.

"T-Thank you so much sir! I'm really flattered sir!" Sting said scratching the back of his head. The rest of the dinner they ate in comfortable silence. After dinner-

"Woah, I ate like a pig! You're awesome Lucy! Thanks for inviting me!" Sting commented and burped. Lucy inwardly gasped and Jude had the displeased look on his face again.

"So...whom do you hang out with?" Jude asked bluntly.

"Uh my friends..."

"How many girl friends do you have?"

"Sir, I said friends not girlfriends..."

"Which girlfriends?"

"Uh..."

"Hey Dad! Could you pass me that jar of water? Boy I'm thirsty!" Lucy said trying to lighten the atmosphere and to save Sting...hopefully. Jude didn't break his eye contact more like glare contact from Sting and just passed the jar to her.

"Okay Eucliffe, you don't need to answer that." Jude said after moments of silence. Sting and Lucy sighed of relief silently.

"Thank goodness Dad doesn't want to ask more questions!" Lucy thought smiling a bit. Her Dad was kind and sweet after all!

"Let's move on to your family." Jude said.

"EEEHHHH!?" Lucy and Sting yelled in their mind.

"May I know what business Mr. Eucliffe is engaged in?" Jude asked.

"He's the director of Eucliffe enterprises," he answered trying not to sound snotty.

"Oh, Rich-spoiled brat huh?" Jude muttered quite loudly.

"Dad!" Lucy gasped angrily.

"What are your plans in future?" Jude asked ignoring Lucy.

"I would like to continue my father's business," Sting said sweating again as the question-answer session begun again.

"For that you need to have intense knowledge about business, will you be able to put up?" Jude asked smirking.

"Dad that's enough!" Lucy yelled raising her voice. "Sting is a nice guy! And he really cares for all his friends...and me too! Dad by asking such question you are humiliating me more because indirectly you are questioning my choice. Please Dad...please stop..." she ended in a whisper. Sting and her father looked at Lucy wide-eyed. Boy, she looked angry. Jude realized Lucy's feelings and his face softened. Both the males had a sorry expression plastered on their faces.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to be mean. I think I must get going now..." Jude said and got up to leave. He glanced at Sting and whispered, "Please take care of her and sorry..." at which Sting nodded.

They heard the front door shut and both of them were left alone. Awkward silence followed.

"Lucy I'm so-"

"I'm sorry, my Dad wasn't trying to be mean...he was just being too over protective according to him..." Lucy interrupted him.

"No it's really okay! You don't need to apologize! Geez, Lucy! Stop making such a sad face! A smile suits you the best so smile more!" Sting said grinning. However her expression didn't change. She looked at her feet angrily as tears threatened to fall.

"Don't cry in front of him, Lucy, stop being such a cry baby..." she explained herself.

"I'm Erza Scarlet, and I'm the student council president! I like Jellal Fernandez but I'm afraid to admit it!" Sting suddenly spoke up making his voice sound like Erza's.

"I hate it when students don't follow school rules. NATSU AND STING ARE YOU BOTH FIGHTING?" Sting continued imitating Erza.

"No ma'am!" he said with a change of expression and voice.

"I WONT SPARE YOU!" he said sternly like how Erza would say. Lucy started giggling and Sting's grin followed.

"You know Erza would have killed you if she would have heard you," Lucy said laughing loudly now.

"But it will be worth it if it makes you smile," Sting whispered at which she blushed.

"Now is the time to confess!" Lucy thought butterflies coming in her stomach.

"S-Sting I wanted to say that-" Lucy started but was interrupted by the house bell. She exploded angrily in her mind.

"I'll get it..." Lucy sighed at got up to open the door. She opened the door to find Rogue Cheney.

"What are you doing here, Rogue?" Lucy asked staring at him, confused.

"Sorry to barge in here late at night, Lucy. I just wanted to know if Sting's here?" Rogue asked politely. As if the cue Sting appeared behind Lucy wearing the same confused expression.

"Rogue what are you doing here?" Sting asked.

"Well, Mr. Idiot, tomorrow we've got to submit the Science project which for your information hasn't been started yet," Rogue said crossing his arms.

"Oh no, I knew I was forgetting something!" Sting whined.

"Yeah tell me about it." Rogue muttered.

"So...what now?" Sting asked idiotically.

"We have to do it now, duh!" Rogue said frowning.

"Ugh, fine. Even though I don't want to." Sting said and grabbed his jacket.

"I'm really sorry Lucy, you see I've got a work come up," Sting said wearing his shoes.

"Oh, that's okay...it was late anyway..." Lucy said.

"Oh and what were you going to tell me?" Sting asked.

"Uh...well...I-I was going to tell you that...YEAH I wanted to tell you that the cookies your Mom made were yummy!" Lucy said smiling nervously. There was no way she was going to confess in front of somebody else like how strange would that be!

"Okay? Well see you later then! Thanks for the meal, you're a great cook!" Sting said giving a crooked smile.

"Bye!" Lucy said waving at both the boys as they left. Lucy shut the door behind her and groaned to herself. What a night.
