Drew, Draw, Drawn
Clickety-clack went the footsteps of the sneakers and heels. The two strode their way through town, on their way to the stand. The stand which held their beloved golden strings and salty soup. The stand where they would hold their final showdown. Determination radiated from their eyes, each pair daring the other to try and get to the shop first. Electricity sparked and flashed as people stopped to glance at the blonde and redhead speeding down the road. Even the dust was failing to keep up with the two. Reaching their destination, they would've zoomed right in to order the bowl of goodness, only to stop to a holler,
"Fortune telling! Stop to know your luck today!" Now, the blonde usually didn't stop for frivolous things like these but today she felt competitive. Her eyes glimmered in confidence as she dared,
"Whoever gets good luck gets to start five minutes earlier."
"Oh, you're on," the redhead challenged. Clang! The coin dropped as he drew a slip of paper and rapidly opened it, eager to see his fortune. He observed the paper which read, 'Best Luck. You will get something special' and an unfinished drawing on the bottom. She drew one as well and paid for her share. She observed her paper which read 'Good Luck. Accept all good and bad' and an unfinished drawing on the bottom on hers as well. Both exchanged each others for an answer and shrugged at the drawing.
Now eager to win, the red head jumped for joy when he found out he won the challenge. The blonde cursed her luck and proceeded to follow after the boy. The slips of paper fell onto the ground and lay side by side. Had the two drawn them together, the weird drawings would have formed a heart.
Haha..it sounds like a poem at the end...or it feels as if it should rhyme. What do you think? Please review on what you thought!
