Chapter 1 The family Heirloom
Jacqueline Royal awoke to the ethereal light of the morning sun shining in through her balcony window. As she was getting up she realized that today was the day that she and her friend Jamie Benson were going to go shopping in Diagon Alley for everything they needed for Hogwarts. Jacqueline and Jamie were both overjoyed about going to school. Jamie and Jacqueline had been best friends for as long as they could remember. This was partly because their parents had also been very good friends. Coming out of her thoughts Jacqueline took her favorite pair of jeans and shirt and went to take a shower.
As Jacqueline was coming down the stairs the family house elf Rose came up to her and said "Miss Jacqueline your parents would like a word with you in the parlor". As Jacqueline was putting her hair into a ponytail she replied " Ok, thanks Rose, please go get yourself some breakfast". Smiling and bowing the house elf disapparated to go get some breakfast while Jacqueline headed to the parlor.
As she entered she saw her parents waiting for her patiently on the love seat. Calmly Jacqueline asked "Rose said you needed to see me mom and dad". Smiling and standing up her father said "In celebration of your going to school, your mother and I decided to give you our family's heirloom, the jeweled necklace of the house of Royal". Placing a necklace with every single jewel known to man around her neck her mother said " This necklace will strengthen your powers and protect you, and there is rumor that there are other benefits of the necklace but you will find them yourself". Jacqueline then promised her parents that she would take the utmost care for it before they headed to the fireplace that would take them to Diagon Alley.
