"I'm exhausted!" Lucy whined as she dropped her bag and fell onto her bed. Her muscles were aching and she was relieved that she was finally able to get some rest. She had just come back from a mission, and of course, Natsu and Gray had destroyed everything, again. She could feel a small tear roll down her cheek when she remembered having to hand over the reward money in order to help pay for damage repairs, "there goes my rent."

Knock Knock Knock

"Go away Natsu!" she shouted, not wanting to talk to the fire dragon slayer at the moment. After a few seconds of silence, a sudden realization hit her. Natsu never uses the door. Then what kind of idiot would be knocking on her door this late at night?

She heard a slight chuckle coming from behind the door and she raised her brow. What the hell did they think was so funny? She stood up from her bed and walked towards the door. She placed her hand on the door knob and slowly opened the door to find none other than Doranbolt standing on the other side.

"Doranbolt? What brings you here?" she asked while mentally going through all the things that her team had done in the past month, if someone from the magic council was here they really must have done something bad this time.

Doranbolt looked Lucy up and down, noticing that her clothes were dirty and ripped up.

"I'm sorry Miss Heartfillia, did I come at a bad time?" he asked and she shook her head in response.

"Don't worry about it, I just came back from a mission," she explained and he nodded his head in understanding.

"I see, well…actually I came here to discuss something important with you," he said and he looked to the side as if people were standing beside him. Lucy tilted her head in attempt to see who was there but pouted slightly when they were still out of view, "come here and introduce yourselves."

At his words two men stepped in front of the door and Lucy's eyes widened in fear at the two mages that stood before her.

"M-Midnight? C-Cobra? W-what are they doing here?" she stuttered as she took a step back in order to distance herself from the two.

Cobra smirked at her obvious signs of fear while Midnight looked elsewhere, disinterested in the current situation.

"Do not worry Miss Heartfillia, they are wearing magic cancelling bracelets, they cannot harm you," Doranbolt reassured her, "do you mind if we come in?"

Lucy turned her attention to Doranbolt and forced a smile, trying not to seem as frightened as she actually was, "R-Right, sorry, please come in," she said, motioning Doranbolt inside.

Doranbolt stepped inside, followed by the two dark mages that he had brought with him. Lucy sat down on her couch and Doranbolt sat beside her.

Cobra sat at Lucy's desk and began rummaging through her things while Midnight sat on the floor, his arms crossed and his eyes closed.

"So…uh…why did you bring those two here?" Lucy asked as she watched the two carefully, making sure that they didn't do anything suspicious.

"Well," Doranbolt started to answer, drawing Lucy's attention to him, "as you may know the prison has been destroyed by a still unknown source."

She nodded her head to confirm her knowledge about the incident, "yeah…I heard about that…"

"Because of this we have nowhere to keep the prisoners that had been kept there, so we have been asking mages throughout Fiore to keep an eye on them until the prison is restored."

"You don't mean…"

"We have come to the conclusion that you would be the best choice to monitor these two for the time being," he finished and Lucy stood up in shock.

"What?! Why me?!" she shouted which caused Doranbolt to smile slightly.

"You seem to be energetic, I expect nothing less from a member of Fairy Tail," he said and motioned for Lucy to sit back down again. She sighed and followed his instructions, "Miss Heartfillia, no, Lucy, I understand that you must be doubtful about your abilities to do this but I really believe that you can do this, I personally recommended you for this task."

"What? Why would you do that?"

"Because I know that you can do this, you have a kind heart Lucy," he paused for a brief moment and smiled at her which seemed to calm her down, "I have seen how good you can be with people and I know that you are capable of keeping these two under control, just like how you do with Team Natsu."

Lucy looks at the Midnight and Cobra. Midnight still had his eyes closed and Lucy assumed he was sleeping. Cobra had moved from her desk to her clothes drawers and she had to force herself from beating him when she saw him pull out a pair of panties. She didn't want to beat someone half to death in front of a magic council member, who knows how much trouble she would get in.

When thoughts of her poking Cobra's eyes out crossed her mind he turned his head to look at her and scowled.

"Lucy, I want force you do it if you don't want to," Doranbolt added and she looked back at him, "but if you do choose do take the task it will be classified as an official job and you will be paid for your services."

"I'm in!" Lucy shouted once she heard about getting paid. She coughed slightly out of embarrassment at her sudden outburst and continued to speak, "I mean…uh…I'd be able to help, I don't want anyone to get hurt after all."

"Thank you," Doranbolt replied, "I know that you will be able to do this without a hitch…but…there is one thing I'm worried about."

"Huh? What is it?" Lucy asked and tilted her head in curiosity.

"Well…I'm worried about what your team members might do when they see those two," Donranbolt answered and Lucy could see both Cobra and Midnight visibly flinch. Lucy stared at Midnight for a few seconds trying to figure out if he really was sleeping. When she couldn't come to a conclusion to turned back to Doranbolt and sighed.

"Yeah, I'm worried about that too…"

"Well," he started to say and stood up from the couch, "I'm sure you will figure it out, I know it is late so I will be taking my leave."

"I'll show you out," Lucy smiled and stood up after him.

They walked to the door and Lucy opened it for him. He stepped outside and turned around to look at her.

"Good luck, and don't get yourself hurt," he said and smiled at her.

"I won't, thank you," she replied and closed the door once he had left.

She turned around and sighed when she saw the two dark mages in her apartment.

"Get…out…of…my…clothes!" She shouted as she stormed over to Cobra.

"I didn't expect a Fairy like you to wear stuff like this," he commented and held up another pair of Lucy's panties, a smirk tugging at his lips.

"Pervert!" she screamed and kicked him across the room, "don't touch my stuff!"

He groaned and rubbed the back of his head as he stood up from the ground. He mumbled something that Lucy couldn't quite make out.

"Just because you're both criminals do not think that you can do whatever you want while you're here!" she snapped.

Midnight opened his eyes and looked at Cobra who was glaring at Lucy and then he looked at Lucy who was glaring right back.

"Thank you…for giving us a place to stay…" Midnight thanked Lucy and she looked at him in surprise.

"Well…uh…you're welcome," she replied and smiled at him nervously. He stared at her blankly and she sighed.

Lucy quickly walked over to her clothes drawers and pulled out some pyjamas before turning back to the two mages, "I'm taking a bath, when I'm finished we can sort out your sleeping arrangements."

She walked into the bathroom and slammed the door behind her, obviously still angry from her interactions with Cobra.

"Why the hell did you thank that Fairy?" Cobra asked as he sat down on Lucy's bed.

Midnight closed his eyes and calmly replied, "the best way to calm a woman down is to acknowledge her actions."

Cobra nodded in satisfaction at his answer. He would remember that next time that Fairy would yell at him, and he knew that would happen again.

"I can't believe we have to stay with that Fairy chick," Cobra muttered and lied down on the bed, his hands behind his head.

Time Skip

"Get off of my bed!" Lucy shouted as she stepped out of the bathroom.

Cobra groaned and opened his eyes to look at the blond girl that was now stomping in his direction.

"Can't you see I was trying to sleep?" he questioned and closed his eyes again.

"Well, Snake boy, you can sleep on the floor!" she screamed at him and pushed him off of the bed, "Midnight, you can sleep on the couch," she grumbled before she crawled into her bed.

"Hey! Why does he get to sleep on the couch?" Cobra complained as he pushed himself off of the floor.

"Because he hasn't been an asshole the entire time you guys have been here!" Lucy answered and pulled the covers over herself.

"You should learn when to calm down," Midnight lectured as he stepped over to the couch and lied down.

"Whatever," Cobra grumbled and sat on the floor, "at least it is better than the prison floor."

Okay! So this is the newly updated first chapter! As you may have noticed I have deleted all the other chapters. That is because I thought that the story wouldn't make sense if half of it was updated and half of it wasn't. So, I have removed the chapters and will be posting them again as I update them. I have also done this with one of my other stories and thought it might be easier.

Thank you for understanding and I hope to update soon!
