Chapter I: An Encounter
An unconscious young man lay on the bed as if he is a corpse. Pale milky skin that is covered with bandages. His soft golden blond locks stick out in different direction. His black vest with white long sleeve that had dried blood everywhere and a red cloak decorated with little black spades, a black ribbon tied on the back of his hair with hair clips that was shaped like an 'X' to hold his bangs up and black boots with red ribbon. A bloodied sword on his baldric.
How did they found him? Long story short, some group that travels from the Clover country found the feminine man in a bloody condition which they quickly carried him and tried to find a infirmary or search anyone with medical knowledge. That time, no one really care where he came from. All they care is to save the man from dying due to blood lost.
When the people in the villages heard their plea, they quickly called the doctor nearby. The doctor in an infirmary rushed to the man as fast as as they can. Fresh scar and old scar everywhere on his body that was already covered with bandages. It almost made the people around puke at how ugly and terrible those scar look on his body.
Judging by that many scars, he'd been through many fight and battle. Once they saw his tattoo, the doctor quickly asked one of the villagers to go to the palace and reported it to the young king of Hearts.
"The place itself was a bit far from the main central which is known as Central Pappilon(1). The person is in Destin Village(2), you know the small village that's famous for their waterfall..." The servant boy said to the young king in front of him.
Destin Village... The place where Rin might be right now, safe and most importantly, alive. Once Len reach Destin Village, everyone who noticed him quickly bow and greet him. Len just gave and wave and a small smile as he entered the infirmary and asked them where's the Spades general is. They, of course, just lead him the way.
When Len look at the boy/girl on the bed, but for his sake of sanity Len will called him a 'he' for the moment. He really look like Rin. Heck, he may be Rin cross-dressing. Len touch his golden locks, his eyes softened. Maybe...Just maybe he could have high hopes that this is real. Len smile didn't last long and look at the doctor.
"Doctor, how's his condition?" he said, blue eyes focusing at the doctor. The doctor who's name is doctor Nakamiya, a little bit surprise by the sudden question but still just nodded his head in understanding.
"The person had slightly burn skin, a little bit of malnutrition and what scared and surprised us are the scars on the body. It could cause death and lots of blood loss judging by its look. Some of them are still fresh, like it was just a couple of days ago. But otherwise, there's nothing wrong" The doctor explain but Len's gaze didn't softened.
If what the doctor said was correct, it seems the Spades tortured their own people. Now he know why people of Spades barely travel without permission. It's because they're scared of receiving punishment. Only people with a little bit of luck or miracle managed to escape Len suspect. Like this guy in front of him for an example.
Len just hope that he'll wake up soon so he could asked him some questions that needed to be answer.
Doctor Nakamiya stopped walking as he forgot one important detail about the Spades general that he supposed tell the young king of Hearts. The fact that this general of Spades is a girl. Oh well, nothing bad will happen.
The young man or woman woke up. She sits up straight and quickly observe her surrounding before her eyes quickly widened. She may not recognized the place but what she did know is she's in one of the Heart's village. Shuffling the blankets that was on her body, she quickly get up from the bed. She groaned a little bit as she felt a pang of pain on her body still aches.
She noticed that her wounds are bandaged up so she guess the people in this place did it. After that, she quickly walks toward the door but before she could touch the doorknob, it rattle.
The woman's eyes widened a little. When the door open, it revealed a middle aged man. "Are you okay?" He asked kindly. She just nodded her head slowly but inside she was actually annoyed at the man. Really, who asked that kind of question to an injured person who just woke up?
The man smile softly, looking at her with eyes that shouted 'IT'S FINE! I'M A FRIEND!'. But basically, the girl knew it's just a trick to earn her trust. Don't called her paranoid, she won't be called general for nothing.
"What's your name?" The doctor said. The girl's heterochromatic eyes hardened as she look at the man in front of her. The doctor suddenly realised something and quickly apologised to her.
"Forgive me. How rude of me. My name is Dr. Nakamiya, a pleasure to meet you Ms...?" Dr. Nakamiya asked her. The girl look at him, not sure whether to tell him or not.
Soon, ocean blue and blood red eyes stare at him. She decided to used this technique on him but Dr. Nakamiya seems not to be affected by her staring and the girl soon sigh, giving up. It would not affected anything if she told him right? But she better used her general name thought... It'll be too risky using her real name.
"Rinto" She said. Dr. Nakamiya was surprised and asked her to repeated it again. "I said my name is Rinto, Mr. Nakamiya" Rinto said to him and before Dr. Nakamiya could replied, someone enter the room with a loud bang. Rin felt sorry for the door.
"Papa/Pop!" The voice of a girl and boy said at the same time. Dr. Nakamiya smile as he hugged his son and daughter. Rin just look at the scene with emotionless eyes. Though deep inside, she envy them for some unknown reason."Pop! Sir Len is waiting for you outside right now! He wanted to know of the Spades lad's condition!" the little boy said with a big smile and Dr. Nakamiya walked outside with his grandchildren.
"I'm going to meet the young king now, Miss Rinto. So please wait inside this room for a few minutes... And don't move to much, your wounds are quite critical" He said and soon he walked out the room. Rin eyes widened at the word king and quickly called out for the doctor.
"Wait" Dr. Nakamiya stop walking and look at Rin. "Yes? What can I helped you with?" Rin bite her flesh inside and stare at him. "Don't revealed my gender to anyone. Please" her face darkened at the word 'please'. It's been a long time since she use that word.
Dr. Nakamiya gave his answer to her with a slow nodded. 'Women. I'll never understand them' he thought to himself. Despite being enemies, Dr. Nakamiya will always treat them with care. Especially if it's a woman.
When the door closed and no more footsteps were heard, Rin continue to stare at the door before blinking. 'I guess he's the one who bandaged me up. No wonder he call me Miss than Mr' she thought before standing up.
'I should make my move now...'
Searching for her sword and look at the door again. She need to escape. At first she wanted to escape by using the door, but it'll cause a ruckus. She shook her head and walk towards the window. It's a good thing that the infirmary is small, she climbed over it and run out.
Rin had a reason to escape and it's because she cannot meet Len yet. Well she can actually but not now. She winced at her wounds but still keep on running. She saw a horse and hush to it softly before sitting on it. Please, give her more time. No matter how strong or cold she is, there's only one thing she's not ready to face.
That is meeting Len Kagamine. The king of Hearts.

Dun Dun Dun! Rin finally appears! But to those who're confused, Rin is a girl that used the name Rinto, her other identity and Rinto is a 'he'. For now, in Rin POV she will describe herself as she while in others POV she will be described as a 'he' since she is using Rinto's identity for now.
