JK continued to 'run' through the woodland with aipom performing acrobatics through the trees overhead on their way to new bark town, again his attempt in exercise quickly fizzled out and aipom had to circle back round for his panting trainer "how... How about we take a break at the route pond overhead?" Aipom shook its head in disapproval "well it looks like we need a tie breaker then" JK released his new weedle from its pokeball, it still looked pretty weak from its battle, although was generally happy with its capturers "hey little guy how about we take a break at the pond up ahead?" Passing it some leaves to eat. "Weedle" it responded in joy, it wasn't clear as to what triggered the response but he took it as a win "alright let's get going then!" Aipom responded by shooting a side glance and resumed to its acrobatics overhead. JK and Aipom's bond had already grown relatively strong in just 2 hours "aipom is too trusting" JK thought to himself.

The three of them reached a clearing and found the pond, although it was pretty much a lake. weedle and aipom both went and drank from the pond immediately "that is nasty guys, you don't know what's been swimming in..." He paused himself when he looked a couple of yards up the lake to see someone, a girl, with long radiant dark blue hair, she wore short jeans and what appeared to JK as a pink and white vest top, although he wasn't entirely sure as what to call it. She was sat in a deck chair with an expensive looking fishing rod in the pond.

The girl looked up and spotted JK "hey you" she shouted, however before she could finish she was interrupted by the fact that she caught a bite.

She wasted no time in yanking the fishing rod out immediately and a horsea flew out of the pond and crashed into the grassy bank. It leapt up and began to jump on the spot, pumping itself up.

"Let's go, corsala!" The girl threw a pokeball and released a pink and white corral like pokemon. The anticipation of battle filled the air and it caught the attention of JK and his team.

"Corsala, bubble now!" She exclaimed

Corsala blew an array of bubbles at horsea, to which it responded by leaping in the air and firing the same attack, causing it them to collide and releasing blue sparkles and a cold chill that JK could feel, in the midst of the attack it was shown that corsala's attack was stronger and had knocked Hosea on its back. "Oh my god wasn't that beautiful, did you see that corsala, wasn't it just magnificent!"

She leapt up and down in joy and corsala lowered its head in embarrassment.

"Sea-sea" horsea responded by leaping in the air again, and firing a smokescreen at them. The girl's face quickly changed to becoming cold and stern, "streamline, corsala!" She commanded "use tackle!" Corsala responded by charging with great speed, the corrals sticking out its body where retracted and caused it to raise its speed drastically, running underneath the smokescreen and leapt at horsea, defenceless as it was still falling from its attack. JK could feel the connection as the two collided and horsea was sent straight into a tree ten metres away, knocked out.

Without a sound, she threw a pokeball straight at the horsea, swallowing it whole. Silence filled the air as the ball shook 3 times. "ping" suddenly the pressure lifted and was filled with joy as the girl screamed and collected her prize. She then turned to JK with a quick motion.

"Hey boy, did you see that? Wasn't it amazing, the style and grace of water types is just incomparable dont you think?"

JK responded her, but with no intention to answer her lucrative questions "you certainly have a good set of lungs on you, you've scared my weedle" he said with a demeaning tone "I'm JK" as she got closer. When he saw her at closer range he noticed she had a pale blue eyes, that where beautiful and intimating at the same time "good" she said with a giggle "it's a nasty little thing anyways, I think we should have a battle so I can prove it" JK didn't want to battle her, in honesty she seemed pretty unhinged and if he beat her he didn't want to know what she would do. "no thanks" he said "my pokemon need to be properly healed, and I need to get..."

"Use bubble now!" She commanded, and corsala responded by firing a seemingly stronger bubble which was fired with precision between JK's legs and hit weedle, sending it straight into the pond.

"WEEDLE!" Jk grabbed his pokeball as fast as he could and returned weedle before it could go under.

JK's anger overcame him once again, and turned back to the girl "what the fuck is wrong with you" he shouted, "I don't know how they do things where you're from, but here in Johto when we say we don't want a battle, it means we don't want to battle!"

Her face became stern once more, "if you're weedle was a water type then we wouldn't have had this problem, I'm just trying to perfect my water types so I can become the best..."

The two was interrupted I'm her feud when a psybeam was fired between them and hitting the water, causing a wave to cover the both of them.

They both turned, covered in pond water. "Who dares shame the beauty of marine, the amazing water performer!?" The girl next to him said.

JK looked up in horror, at the image that was before him. "It's...you two form before" he said "the two who want aipom!"

They both began to laugh, the woman stood with a misdrevous beside hovering around her and the other one stood with a tangela next to him. "Let's make this easy kid," the woman said "give us aipom and we won't take the rest of your pokemon"

JK ran In front of aipom to protect him "how about you have none" he replied "and I might not report you to officer Jenny"

That just made them laugh even more

" don't you know who they are?" Said marine " look at their uniforms, it's team rocket, they are originally from Kanto but have begun operations in johto"

"That's right little girl, maybe you should listen to your girlfriend" said the green haired grunt "

JK looked distressed, he turned to marine "marine, I don't particularly like you , but I need your help, my dad is the gym leader of cherry grove city, if you help me I'll have you paid"

He didn't really want her help but if he didn't they'd take all his pokemon

"I'll help you JK, not for money, but for the sake of your aipom, but I'll take the money anyways"

"Fair enough" he responded

"Wrong move" said the grunts, simultaneously, aipom, corsala, misdrevous and tangela moved I front of their trainers to battle.

"Weedle and horsea are to weak to battle, so these two are our first and last line of defence, so we need to be careful" said JK

Marine took no notice "speak for yourself, use bubble!"

The grunt smiled "vine whip"

Tangela moved with great speed and popped each bubble in quick succession, and then proceeded to hit both corsala and aipom, sending them into their trainers.

JK realised he was going to need to battle himself if he had any chance of winning

"Use swift aipom!" Aipom leapt into battle again and fired swift, however misdrevous moved into the way of the attack, taking no damage.

"Psybeam!" Its trainer responded.

A powerful psybeam hit both aipom and corsala again, this time knocking out corsala. "NO!" Marine screamed

"Make it suffer" said the grunts

"Stun spore!"

"Confuse Ray!"

Tangela and misdrevous responded, showing no remorse for corsala.

Without any command, aipom dived in the way of the Attacks, becoming deluded and paralysed at the same time. "Finish it misdrevous, psybeam again!" With no hope, aipom snapped out of confusion and took the attack head on. Relentless, misdrevous continued the attack.

"Aipom don't give up, I know you can win" shouted JK watching on as aipom tried to resist psybeam

"Stop it aipom" cried marine "JK tell it to stop, they'll just keep hurting it!"

JK's dark brown eyes didn't leave aipom, they looked seemingly bottomless and he just stared, he didn't know why. He just stood there.

Tears began to well in marine's eyes and she turned away, disgusted in his trainers lack of care. As she looked at the floor, her shadow looked extremely dark, like there was a bright light behind her, as she turned back, she looked on at aipom as he had become engulfed in a harsh bright aura that seemingly absorbed the attack, it then stomped on the ground and relinquished the attack in a heart beat. She was scared, terrified. What was it? Was it an ability? All she knew was that aipom looked almost possessed, and that it was stronger than before, much stronger...

She turned to JK, "what is it?" She asked "what is happening!" She raised her tone, but he remained completely silent, but she knew he was as shocked as she was.

Without command. Aipom's tail was covered in a golden aura, much more prominent than before, it began to spin at frightening speed, like a mixture of white and golden blur and a powerful swift attack was fired at great speed, devastating both Tangela and misdrevous in one motion. In utter shock, the rocket duo recalled their defeated pokemon and retreated.

"So this is why he wants that pokemon" said one "that is one powerful aipom" said the other, disappearing out of the brush.

As the threat left, the aura retracted from aipom, but a shockwaves resonated the area, causing it to collapse.

"We need to get to aipom to professor elm's lab NOW!" Shouted JK, shocking marine, as he hadn't said a word in the whole ordeal, they scooped up aipom and ran on.

Several minutes later they found themselves in new bark town.

JK didn't even slow in relief, he continued to run and reached the lab, still cradling aipom. He stormed through the front doors.

"where is the professor!"
