Chapter 2: The Emperoring of the Eighth Barian
Dumon paced back and forth in the Council Room, worried about Nash and Marin.
Where could they have gone? he thought to himself. Vector walked in the room. Dumon glanced at Vector in disapproval. Dumon began to sit when he heard the two brothers arguing. He turned and walked out the room and headed toward Michael and Ryo Bakuras' rooms. The other Barians shrugged.
"Ryo, let go of me!" Michael shouted in anger as his psychic powers erupted from his body. Ryo stepped back a bit. Dumon reached out and grabbed Michael's collar from his shirt.
"Come on Michael, you're going to be known as the eighth Barian Emperor soon ." he said calmly. Michael didn't fight back. He remembered Marin's words: You'll be the greatest Barian Emperor of us all. Ryo followed behind Dumon. Dumon, Michael and Ryo entered the Barian Council Room where the other four Barian Emperors sat.
"Well? Are we going to vote or what?" Mizar asked, a little annoyed.
"Relax Mizar." Dumon said. "We will start the vote process soon." Mizar nodded. Dumon stood on his chair.
"All in favor of making Michael Bakura a Barian Emperor, raise your hand." he said. Vector smirked and raised his hand. As moments passed, Vector still had his hand raised. Vector turned and looked at the other Barian Emperors, they didn't have their hands raised. Vector scowled in disgust.
"Just one?" asked Dumon. "How disappointing." Michael looked at Dumon in sadness.
"So, I guess I won't be a Barian Emperor after all." he muttered. Dumon held Michael close to him. Michael looked up at Dumon, and gave a shy smile. Dumon looked at the other Barians, they began to raise their hands. Dumon nodded in approval. Michael cheered softly. Vector stood up.
"So, what should the name of this new emperor be?" Vector asked Dumon.
"I was thinking Psycho." Mizar said. "But that means he's crazy, which he isn't."
"True." agreed Dumon. Vector spoke up.
"How about Umbral?" he asked. Girag and Alito shrugged.
"Sure, why not." Alito agreed. Dumon smiled.
"Good. Now, we send him to the Human World to get information on them. Specifically, Yuma Tsukamo and the Arclights." Vector smiled at this suggestion.
"I'll go with him to the Human World and get info on Yuma. Michael can get information on the Arclights." Dumon nodded, and opened a portal to the Human World, then turned to Alito and Girag.
"Go with them and search for Nash and Marin." Dumon ordered. Alito and Girag nodded. Mizar rolled his eyes. Dumon nodded.
"Good. Now you four, head to the Human World!" he said. Alito, Girag, Vector and Michael saluted to Dumon.
"Yes!" all four of them said, and disappeared through the portal.
