This is the original first chapter of 'Enemies'.

Artemis was annoyed. No, she was more than annoyed. She had been called to Olympus for an important meeting, and had been waiting for twenty minutes for everyone to arrive so that they could start the meeting. Almost everyone was here. They were only missing two people. Two people who Artemis hated the most. Her brother Apollo, and his best friend Percy. It seemed like Zeus was getting angry at them as well.

Suddenly, there was a flash, and the two stumbling idiots appeared in the middle of the throne room.

"Sorry Pops! We would have been here sooner, but we got caught up with something!" Apollo told Zeus cheerfully.

"Yeah sorry! It won't happen again Uncle Z! I promise!" Percy grinned.

"Just go to your thrones," Zeus sighed. The two nodded and fist pumped before going to their respective thrones.

"Right. Now that the meeting can finally begin, does anyone have any news to share before I tell you why I called you here" Zeus thundered.

No one said anything because they new that Zeus didn't care about their news and only asked out of procedure. Unfortunately, two idiots didn't seem to get it.

"I beat Apollo in a drinking contest!" Percy smirked.

"You might have won the battle but I will win the war!" Apollo smirked back.

Zeus glowered at them. "Now, as for why I called you all here. Hades has informed me that monster activity in Tartarus has increased. Normally, that wouldn't be a problem, but Athena has reported that she recently saw a group of monsters. It seems as if the monsters are grouping together."

"Father, when we were hunting yesterday, the girls and I also came across a group of monsters. There was a pack of hell hounds and some cyclopes. We defeated them, but they had been acting odd," Artemis put in with a frown.

The room was filled with murmurs as everyone thought about what this could mean.

"Okay, I want each of you to keep an eye out for anything odd. Hermes, you and Iris keep an eye on who's messaging who. I'll tell Hades to keep checking on Tartarus. Poseidon, could you check the underwater prisons. Athena, research what could be causing this. And I want the God and Goddess of Hunting to work together and hunt down more of these monsters." Zeus ordered. Everyone gasped at the last order.

You see, the gods had many rivalries, but some of them out right hated each other, and if you put them together to do anything, it would be disastrous. For example, Athena, Goddess of Wisdom, and Poseidon, God of the Sea, hated each other. Ares, God of War, and Hephaestus, God of Forgery, hated each other. And Artemis, Goddess of the Hunt, and Percy, God of the Hunt, hated each other.

"WHAT!" came two screams. Immediately, Percy and Artemis glared at each other.

"Father! I cannot work with this useless pig! I bet he can't even shoot an arrow properly!" Artemis screamed.

"Please! I'm the one that can't work with a selfish bitch like you! And I bet I could shoot an arrow better than you could!" Percy screamed back.

"I am going kill you!" Artemis growled.

"Yeah? Well I'm gonna be nice and help you release all that pent up sexual frustration before I kill you!" Percy smirked coldly.

"I would rather fade than have you anywhere near me you bastard!" Artemis hissed.

"Ditto bitch!" Percy growled.

By now, they had their weapons out. Artemis had her bow, and Percy had his sword, Anaklusmos. The other gods were watching the fight like a tennis match. Finally, Zeus decided to stop them before they actually killed each other.

"Enough! Both of you will do as I say! You just have to find the monsters and kill them! You will not harm each other in any way, or you shall both be punished! Now, I will not hear any more arguments on this. Everyone do as I have ordered you! Council dismissed!" he declared before flashing out.

Soon, all but Artemis, Percy, and Apollo, had flashed out.

"Hey, it won't be so bad guys! I'll visit you as much as I can! And we can go out when you're done with this hunt!" Apollo side in an attempt to cheer them up before he too flashed out. Percy sighed.

"Okay Artemis. I think we both now that neither of us want this. So why don't we just work together and get the job done quickly, and we won't have to see each other at all after! So what do you say. Truce?" Percy offered his hand.

Artemis looked at his hand uncertainly. He seemed to be sincere, and he was right. They had to work together to get the job done quickly. With a sigh, she reached over and shook his hand, ignore the spark that went through her when she touched him.

"Fine! But no looking at, touching, or flirting with my hunters. I will feed you to the wolves no matter what my father says!" she scowled at him. He quickly nodded and they both flashed to the hunters' camp.

The minute they arrived, Percy found himself on the sharp end of more than a dozen arrows.

"Mi'lady, what is he doing here!" one of them asked, glaring at Percy, who grinned and winked at her.

"Put down your bows girls. Unfortunately, Zeus has ordered the both of us to hunt down some monsters. Until the task is done, he has to stay here," Artemis told them apologetically.

Just then, their newest hunter, whom they had recruited just two days ago, walked over to them.

"Lady Artemis, who is he?" asked the girl. She had short, spiky back hair and electric blue eyes. She was taller than average and looked about fifteen.

"Oh how rude of me! Allow me to introduce myself. I am Perseus, God of Tides, the Hunt, Stars, Song, Ice, Snow, and Heroes. I am the youngest son of Amphitrite and Poseidon. My sacred symbols are my sword Anaklusmos, my katana, my guitar, my bow and my ice staff. My sacred plants are the Roman Orchid, and the Carob. My sacred animals are the winged horses, sharks, and panthers," Percy spoke with a flourish.

"I'm Thalia, daughter of Zeus, and isn't song Apollo's domain?" Thalia asked.

"No, music and poetry are Apollo's domains. Song is my domain. But don't worry, a lot of people make that mistake!" Percy replied grinning.

"Al right girls, we want to get this done as soon as possible, so we will begin the hunt tonight. Go get yourselves ready!" Artemis told them. They all grinned at the thought of a new hunt.

"Perseus, I don't care what you do as long as you abide by the rules! Just be ready on time!" with that, Artemis left for her tent.

Percy grinned devilishly.

"So I can do anything I want huh?"
