CHAPTER 2
TOBIAS
THE WARMTH SHOOTING UP MY HAND PUZZLES ME. I gesture my hand to her heart, it's beating. I am overjoyed "Tris? You are alive!" I kiss her more than once feeling the warmth of her lips each time we kiss. "Tris, Wake up, I know you're alive!" I tap her, I shake her, I try every solution to wake her up. Fear sinks in. Knowing that she isn't waking up scares me. I drop to the floor and cry. I cry like Christina but worse. I cry for 15 minutes or so. I get up and look at her beautiful innocent face "Tris, Please" I sob "I know you're there wake up! I need you" I wait a moment and her eyes start to flutter, She starts to breathe again. I gasp "Tris!"
TRIS
My eyes flutter open seeing everything above me. I feel a dash of pain in my neck, where David shot me. I can move again! I can see again. I look up to see Tobias. I gasp! "Tobias! I told you I'd never die, not now!" I don't care how much pain I feel in my body right now. I sit up and sling my arms around Tobias and kiss him. Tobias looks at me and says "You're Beautiful Tris, You scared me stiff! Don't ever do that to me again you understand?!" I understand alright, I nod "Tobias" I Say weakly "I need to go to the infirmary, My wounds hurt like fire" He nods and Carries me to the infirmary, My arms around his neck and my body In his arms, I kiss him on the cheek feeling his rough beard; I can tell that he hasn't shaved for at least a day or two.
We get to Infirmary and Tobias sits me up on an empty, clean bed. He kisses my forehead and whispers to me "I won't leave you alone ever again, I'm staying here whether they like it or not! I love you so much Tris, you are the most beautiful girl in the world. Please don't ever sacrifice yourself again! I love you too much" I start to cry "I missed you so much! I will never put my life at risk again I promise!" I cry even harder but slowly calm down when Tobias puts his arms around me and hugs me. I never want to let him go.
We release when the doctor comes in to register me "Hello I am Amelia, your Doctor, what seems to be the problem?" I point to my neck, Cheek and Head "I got shot". She nods "Right, your friend must leave as we have to take X-Rays to see where the bullets exactly hit in your body and then we will very soon operate on you." I look at Tobias, He looks upset, No, angry. He frowns "Doc, I am her boyfriend and I will never leave her out of my sight again!" He looks like he's about to punch the wall. Amelia says "OK fine you can stay, but you must not get in our way or disturb her when she is sleeping understand?" The Amelia looks at him with a look as if she wants to slap him. Tobias Nods, "Okay Doc, I promise, but you better promise me she will be fine!"Tobias's shouts fill the infirmary "I promise she will be fine. Our technology here is very Hi-Tech. Trust me, there is a very low chance of her getting injured in the process" Amelia says in a calming voice, reassuring Tobias. Tobias calms down, Gives me a kiss and sits on a chair next to me. I look at the Doctor and she says "X-raying will start in 3 hours ok?" I nod.
