Chapter 2- !0 things
After about an hour of doing nothing Derek decided to convince Casey to play a game.
"Case I'm bored would you please quit reading that book and entertain me" Derek groaned.
"Derek I'm too bad at you to even want to talk to you" Casey replied.
"OK well how about we play a game to help get rid of your frustration" Derek asked.
"What's the game" Casey asked.
"10 things I hate about you, we each have to try and name 10 things we hate about each otherand the loser has to do the winners chores for a month" Derek replied.
"OK this should be easy let's play" Casey replied.
"I'll go first" Derek said "I hate how you care so much about school"
"And I hate how you take advantage of people" Casey replied.
"OK I hate what a perfectionist you are" Derek said.
"I hate all those nicknames you give me" Casey replied.
After listing more things they hated about each otherCasey got to her ninth thing she hated about Derek.
"I hate how you play your guitar in the morning to wake me up" Casey told him.
"OK and now for the 10th thing I hate about you" Derek started "I hate that your my step-sister"
Derek expected Casey to say something horrible back but instead she actually started to cry.
"Casey" Derek said.
"Leave me alone" she sobbed.
"You didn't let me finish" Derek said.
"What are you talking about" Casey asked as she looked up at Derek.
"I do hate that your my step-sister because it makes what I'm about to do so wrong" Derek said.
And with that Derek leaned in to kiss Casey and they stayed there till they needed to come up for oxygen.
"Case what was the last thing you hated about me" Derek asked.
"I hate that I love you" Casey answered and with that they kissed again.
