A Warriors OC Story

Sorry, this came out too late. A bunch of stuff happened and I could not write. The last chapter was too short but I hope this isn't too short as well.

Sunflowersun7: Thanks, I hope it gets even better. And Ikr? I only see toms in a prophecy. But that changes now!

Rose-song: Thanks! I wish it was too.

Now onto the chapter!

Wildkit never knew that a cat could dream like this.

When she opened her eyes, she realized that she wasn't in the nursery. Instead, she was in an opening. Huh? Where am I?

Wildkit blinked, and then noticed that three cats were in front of her. Am I dreaming?

"Hey!" She meowed, padding closer to the cats. "Where am I?"

However, the cats did not notice her, or hear her.

One of them, a tortoiseshell tom with a few dappled patches of brown, crouched, glancing sideways at the other two. "We need to be quiet," He whispered, flicking an ear, "if we want to chase off the dogs."

The second one, a black tom with a white-tipped tail, nodded. "We'll teach that dog that this is LeafClan's territory!"

The third cat, a silver tabby she-cat with emerald green eyes, stiffened, lashing their tail in a beset manner. "Then how come I'm here? I'm a better hunter than a fighter! I'm not gonna be able to defeat a dog!"

The tortoiseshell cat just looked at her, unimpressed. "You're the fastest warrior LeafClan has, Wildflower. We need you."

The silver tabby that was named Wildflower, snorted. "Fine, Slateclaw, but I'm warning you that I'm a better at hunting than fighting. I probably won't make it out alive!"

The black tom, which Wildkit guessed was an apprentice, just rolled their yellow eyes. "Oh, you'll be fine, Wildflower!"

Wildflower flicked her tail at them. "If you two say so, fine. But I'm not very confident about this."

Wildkit watched as the three began to pad silently towards a brown-and-Black shape in the distance. She froze at the sight and, even though she had never seen a dog before, she knew it was a big dog.

Wildflower crouched low, and lowered her tail low enough to not get noticed. She crept closer to the dog, and the others followed swiftly but quietly.

Wildkit followed the group. What's going to happen?

Wildflower unsheathed her claws, and flattened her ears. Slateclaw's tail lashed a bit, then it twitched.

The three attacked.

The black apprentice lunged for the dog's face, unsheathing his claws, and he snarled as he clawed, tearing skin. The dog yelped in pain, but then snapped at the tom. The black tom leaped back just in time, barely missing the bite.

Slateclaw jerked back as the dog, snarled and tried to attack the cats. He lashed his claws at the dog's throat and swiped at his paws, unbalancing the huge creature.

Wildkit watched in wide eyes as the dog fell. They're really strong.

Wildflower darted to the dog's throat, and sank her teeth, growling and spitting in fury. The dog yelped, and stood up, trying to shake the she-cat off but made no effort.

Wildkit padded closer as the group knocked the dog back.

Suddenly, the dog howled in fury. It shook wildly, sending Wildflower flying onto the ground, right in front Wildkit.

The she-kit froze, fur prickling in fear.

But then the silver tabby she-cat stood up, and leaped back into battle.

Wildkit suddenly looked around, staring around the opening. They said that this is LeafClan territory, but where in LeafClan territory are they? And how close are they to camp?

Abruptly, there was a yowl.

Wildkit looked back at the battle, and her ears went flat.

The black tom was dangling from the dog's huge jaws. Great StarClan, no!

The dog sank its teeth deeper, and rivers of blood pour out from the apprentice. It's eyes gleamed with hunger, satisfaction, and determination.

Slateclaw stared in horror. "Duskpaw!" He yowled, hair rising.

However, Wildflower lunged for the dog.

Duskpaw eyes widened as the she-cat landed on the dog's flank. "Wildflower, no!"

Wildflower scorched her claws across the dog's flank, leaving very deep wounds. The dog yelped, dropping the tom, and tried to snap at the she-cat.

Jaws slammed shut on the she-cat's paw.

The she-cat let out a yowl of terrible pain, but she fought back. She ripped her paw free, and snarled. The silver tabby lunged forward, dodging the dog's claws, and sank her teeth into the creature's throat.

Snarling, the dog snapped at the she-cat. The she-cat jerked back, but not on time.

The dog tore her ear off.

Wildflower screeched in anger, and ripped her jaws free. The she-cat darted off the dog's flank, and it chased after her.

Staleclaw ran to them. "No!"

Wildkit tried to run after the cats, managing to see the battle.

Wildflower lured the dog into the forest, and then she made a run for it. The dog, surprisingly, followed her swiftly.

Wildflower turned around, snarling. "You will never hurt my Clan!"

She lunged forward, slicing the dog's left cheek. The dog howled in anger, and knocked her hard onto the ground.

The dog lunged for the she-cat, clawing and slicing at her. Wounds and scratches appeared on the silver tabby's body.

Suddenly, Duskpaw let out a yowl of horror, and he tried desperately to distract the huge dog. "Get off her!" He yelled angrily, clawing at the dog's flank. Slateclaw helped him too.

But the dog was focused on Wildflower.

The she-cat yowled in pain as the brown-and-Black dog sank its teeth into her throat. Wildflower then narrowed her eyes.

"Leave my Clan alone!" She yowled, aiming a killing blow at the dog's head. The dog swiped its paw too.

The blows landed at the exact same time, and both of them went limp.

Wildkit felt her heart freeze as she saw the body of Wildflower. She's dead…

"Wildflower!"

Slateclaw ran to the she-cat's body, with Duskpaw right behind him.

Wildkit watched in sorrow and grief as Duskpaw let out a wail while Slateclaw nudged the she-cat.

Slateclaw took a step back. "S-she was right," He meowed, grief-stricken. "She was going to die, we should've never let her come."

Duskpaw nodded, and he let out another wail. "She was a good mentor and warrior, LeafClan will miss her."

Wildkit felt her ears flatten, before everything went dark.

Did you guys enjoy that? Hopefully it was a lot longer than the prologue.

Well, see y'all later!
