B: Breath; Believe
Breath
She was faintly aware of everything around her: the sights and sounds of the Stork Club, the way his arms held her close as they swayed, the melody of the slow song from the big band... but what she was most aware of was his gentle breath against her flushed cheek, causing warmth to crawl down her neck and spread to her chest. And she wanted to kiss him, to hear the pace of his breath move a little faster, just as it had when they had their first fast dance.
Believe
He could come up with a hundred little reasons why he loved her—from her beauty to her strength and intelligence—but what impacted him the most was the fact she had faith in him when no one else did. Even when he doubted himself, she didn't. She saw him for who he really was and admired him for it. And that was how he knew there could never be another woman for him.
